10 reviews for Sandbox Suites
I have co-worked at other places, but when I found sandbox suites, I was sold.
I've been at Sandbox Suites for almost two months. I am very happy with this place.
It's professional looking enough that you can invite your boss, CEO or top-dollar client for a meeting.
There's a receptionist to greet folks and answer questions at the door.
There's coffee always a-flowing.
And, there are community events / lunches that make you feel very welcome and create more opportunites for networking.
I've been at sandbox for just over 4 months. This setup is great. You've got high caliber individuals running the place who will work with you to help suite your needs, and understand the golden rules of good business.
There's fun events with great like minded individuals who are all passionate about what they do. I'd highly recommend giving sandbox a gander if you're at all interested.
I do find that the special featured events tend to lean towards independent contractor interests, as opposed to startup business owner interests.
The interior space is delightful, open, and welcoming. Great for any prospective client you might want to invite into the space. Everything is very professional, charismatic, accommodating, and well thought out. However, there's this one huge HVAC fan that blasts loud air throughout the day that I wish I could turn off :)
The other professionals here are very thoughtful and respect each other & I've always felt I was very safe working until the weeee hours....along with my computer equipment. Also, The internet is faster than any place I've ever been to.
Got a monkey on your back? Fed up with working at home in your underwear? Distracted by too many things at home to get much work done?
Sandbox hits the spot with chill atmosphere, individual desks or common workspaces, blazing fast wireless internet, coffee and munchies to keep you going. I frequent it 3-4 times a month, and must say I am a happy customer who will keep coming back!

I currently work at Sandbox Suites a few days a week, and have done so for the past few months. The set-up works well for my colleague and I since we are a small company and don't have the need to rent an expensive private office in San Francisco.
We still have a lot of the amenities that we would have in our own office (Internet, faxing, printing, conference room, etc.), but we don't have to worry about managing the technical aspects of it. Not having to worry about that stuff, but still having access to it is such a nice convenience.
The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and they host a lot of networking events too (which always seem to be the days we aren't here...we will get to one eventually!).
If you are sick of working from home, and don't want to pay SF prices for a private office, I would definitely give Sandbox Suites a try.

Sandbox Suites is a boutique office rental space nestled in SOMA on 10th Street near Howard. They offer various conference room sizes, single desk pods and lounge areas for group meetings, mobile workers and casual brainstorming sessions. The fixtures are modern with a hip and minimalist twist. We spent a few hours last Saturday to meet with a small group to brainstorm as a marketing focus advisory council. A small cafe area serves pots of warm coffee, espresso drinks and other snacks. This is a fun and eclectic space that is appropriate for small startup entrepreneurs and incubator firms to hold pow-wow meetings.
It is truly a unique alternative from your typical HQ office space rental offerings in the financial districts and other industrial park areas in the Peninsula. Its hip and minimalistic ambiance is perfect for seed companies that require the perfect atmosphere for brewing high forms of kinetic thinking energy.

Super nice receptionist helped me send a fax. The place seems very friendly and inviting. On this visit I did not have a chance to stick around long but I have worked in an Office Suite location before. They definitely exceeded my expectations. I even grabed some flyers on my way out to leave at my building in the neighborhood.

I've been going to Sandbox for over a year, and would highly recommend it. I'm a freelancer, and going to Sandbox once or twice a week is a perfect antidote to feeling cooped up at a home office. The coworkers there are a nice bunch of people, with diverse professions. And the Sasha and Roman, who run the place, are accommodating and always thinking of new ways to improve Sandbox. And they often have lunches and other events to meet your fellow coworkers. SB really beats going to Starbucks any day -- your own desk, wifi, printers, street address you can use for your business, meeting rooms, coffee, tea and water dispensers, etc.

So - I'm writing this as a new beta-user of the location, and I have to say it's ideal. "workspaces" tend to either be for artists and musicians, or for corporate button down types. Entrepreneurs and internet workers don't really fit into either world - but that's exactly what THIS world is designed for.
Sasha is too modest - not only are there monthly plans, there are a variety of usage plans based on how much/often you need it... One day a week? no problem? Private dedicated desk? No problem. Need package delivery ("virtual office") services? No problem. Need to print things once in a while? no problem...
The space, while still getting the finishing touches, is light and attractive. "Private" Desks are upstairs, and really do have a sense of privacy - the shared desks are downstairs, and while not the same degree of privacy, are well-spaced and don't feel crowded.
There's a small room usable for private phone calls on the main floor, as well as three conference rooms of different sizes. Ultimately, two of those rooms will have projectors as well, The conference rooms can be booked either separately on a per-hour basis, or you can choose a monthly plan with conference room hours bundled into it.
There is also lounge space on each floor, and an almost "side-walk cafe" area on the first floor - ideal for people who prefer that to a desk.
oh - and Roman makes a pretty good espresso.

Lovely space, with the best transit connections of all the SF coworking communities. I love the peaceful mood -- it's easier to be more contemplative than at Citizen Space, which has a certain urgency brought on perhaps by the Bay Bridge traffic just outside the window. At Sandbox Suites, I can kick back and concentrate and get some work done. I've also been here for an evening event, and was very impressed not only with the decorations but also with how the staff handled unexpected situations. I'm trying to get back here for some more evening events like the monthly "Happy Networking Hour." See you there!

Often crowded, noisy and uncomfortably warm, with people "saving" empty desks for friends by putting their things on the chairs and the desks.
