    Fantastic product and atmosphere!

By far the best winery in Bucks County, if not the state of Pennsylvania.

They have many traditional wines Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Riesling. In addition, they do some blends that are enjoyable.

Stop in for a VIP tour on the weekends to learn about their wines, differences on the aging processes used, pairings and much more.

Join their wine club for bigger discounts of up to 30% on regular case purchases. You can also get a 15% discount on the purchase of a case while at the winery.

Excellent product and people. Their pride in their wine is apparent in the quality of their products.

To be honest, there isn't a lot to see at this winery.  You can however enjoy a pleasant tasting and the rural surroundings.

For as much expertise as the owner claimed to have, his wines were pretty mediocre and honestly overpriced.

Hard to believe I didn't enjoy this place even with a buzz.

Another stop on my winery tour. Very gaudy on the outside, looks like a catering place for weddings. On the inside a relaxing environment. The man who served us the tastings was very friendly, funny but a bit long winded. Each wine was good, not great until the end. Their "surprise" spice wine was outstanding! Warm and perfect for a fall evening. Other than the great server, all else is the same. $10 gets you about 8 wines and you get to keep the glasses. A little difficult to find and we had no intention of going here until we made a wrong turn (literally) into their long driveway. View up top are nice as well and there is an open patio with tables to the side of the place.

i bought a couple groupons for the VIP tour, and i enjoyed myself. i wish it hadnt taken me nearly 2 extra hours to get there (thanks, road blockages in suburban PA).... but regardless they were friendly when i finally arrived and i did not feel shunned because of my lateness.

This place was fun!  We found it thanks to a yelp check in offer I believe when we were down in Frenchtown, NJ.  The tastings offered were probably one of the better tasting experiences to date.  The person who walked us through the tastings made sure to educate us on all of the various types of wine and provided chocolate and cheese to pair with certain varieties.  Discount offered on case purchases.

Strip-mall aesthetics and acidic wines all wrapped up in bad attitudes of uniformly arrogant staff.

The faux "castle" is laugh-out-loud cheesy in appearance, and you'll feel like you stepped into a Hampton Inn just off the interstate when you enter the vast lobby. The wines range from harsh to vinegary at prices that have no connection with the reality of their quality.

Save time and money, drive down the road a bit and enjoy better places along the river like the Golden Pheasant Inn or the Black Bass Hotel.

I really enjoy this place, for $5 you get to sample something like 10-12 wines - there are mostly whites and sweeter reds with two versions of Chardonnay (steel barrel vs oak barrel), three versions of Riesling, a Pinot Noir, a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Blush, a Rose, a Claret and my favorite, the Alpine Spice.

The Alpine Spice tastes like a slightly sweeter alcoholic cider (think liquid apple pie) and is just wonderful heated up on a cold day.  Everyone who has ever come here with us has enjoyed it.  The Claret is a sweet red that is great for Sangria, all you need to do is add sliced oranges and any other fruit you like.

If you're in the area, for the price of the tasting and the selection, it can't be beat.  The Alpine Spice is worth the trip by itself.  Oh, you get to keep the glass with your tasting but I always donate it when I get home.

We have experienced this winery on numerous trips. Went the first time before the new facility was even opened. Had drawings on the wall.
    Wines have been consistently good.
    Tasting fees are reasonable.
Have enjoyed this place every time we have been

Last weekend some friends and I took a trip to catch the last of the Fall trees in all their glory. The winery isn't that easy to find in passing but it's worth a trip for sure. The long driveway leads up to the castle itself...sadly it's an American version of a castle....poorly copied and looking like a cheap Disney building.

Don't be put off however, the wines are very good and a full tasting was only $5 - this they even waived for us!

A tour of the whole winery starts at 1pm and costs $15, this involves much more wine tasting and is a bargain.

Sand Castle Winery is located on the banks of the Delaware River just north of New Hope, PA, about 1 1/2 hours from both New York City and Philadelphia.

Great wine tasting!  I bought the tickets for half-price ($10 instead of $20 per person) on Groupon.  The tasting was 2 hours long, and we got to try 11 different wines! The winery itself is in a building shaped like a castle at the top of a hill, and it is very pretty inside (they have weddings and other events there). The host told us all about each wine and its food pairings, and showed us the wine cellar and explained how the wines are made. BTW we loved the warm Alpine Spice wine the most! :)

Let me start off by saying I'm not normally a wine guy, more of a beer man myself, but I thoroughly enjoyed this place. To start with, yes it's a little hard to find, but the drive is beautiful particularly in autumn. I just did the regular 5 dollar wine tasting and it's quite a deal. For 5 bucks we tried a wide variety of wines, some were good, others I didn't care for but it was interesting nonetheless. I ended up finding a particular kind of wine that I really enjoyed, spice wine, which tastes like alcoholic apple cider, it was great at thanksgiving and Christmas. Overall the tasting is inexpensive, the area is gorgeous, the hosts are a little drunk but are very nice and extremely knowledgeable, the wine is varied enough that you will find something you enjoy and when you walk away with a bottle or two, it's not going to break the bank.
