Well-kept grounds and lots of open space. There was almost no one here last Saturday with the exception of an older gentleman with his dog.

Good lord, I forgot how BIG Central Park is. Seriously, it should have it's own zip code.
It's a terrific "park" and I use the term park loosely. It's more like a campus. Everything from basketball courts that always have at least 2 games going no matter what time of day you come by, to the skate park, the newly renovated play area. There's something for everyone!
Great BBQ area. Tons and tons of grass to just run around and play on. A great community center, tennis courts, etc...The list just goes on and on.
Well done San Ramon! -

Such a fan, and I don't give many 5 stars out.
Is it the well groomed lawns and abundance of shade given off by the healthy trees? Or the laughter of kids and parents playing together? Maybe it's the cleanliness of the bathrooms and lack of litter on the ground?
I don't know exactly what it is, but having grown up with 15 years of softball and 11 years of soccer under my belt, I know a good sports park when I see one.
Currently I play here each week for adult kickball, but have begun coming more often just to get out of the house and take a walk. It's so vast here you hardly share the paved or gravel walkways with others. There's a few beautiful fountains near the city center building and in the spring this area has many rose bushes. I've never seen it, but this could be a great spot for photos.
Music in the park happens here too in a small ampitheatre. Check out the http://www.ci.san-ramo... -

Member of our extended family came to San Ramon Central Park to watch Gayle's Nephew try out the skateboard area and proceed over the playground with the grandchildren. It's hot down in these parts, but Central Park offers a lot of grass, shade and places to sit and watch the kids play. I was especially impressed with the leafy lane that offered several benches for reading and relaxation.
Central Park seems safe and is clean, well-maintained, and with a minimal amount of litter or crowds. Parking was also easy and I appreciated the friendliness of the other families who were also enjoying their Labour Day weekend. -

Children's playground, sand pit and water park fountain. Fenced tennis courts, lighted basketball courts and a good skate park. Small rose garden, large fountain and pond. The only thing missing is a public swimming pool. Baseball/softball/soccer fields and lots of lighted parking places. No geese droppings, well-manicured grass spots.
Very clean sand area and wading area in the kiddie play area. A great place to take your kids, people come from all over the Bay Area. Right next to the Iron Horse Trail which is a nice flat bike riding trail. The Marketplace shopping complex and the San Ramon Library are just across the street on Bollinger Canyon Road (no longer a road, now six lanes across). -

SUPER FUN - my son LOVES the water park fountain & little pools. Also, great play structure (see photo). We come and picnic here every week. The thing I love most about the park is that it's large, clean, and shady! There are tons of big trees, and the grass is lush and well taken care of...plenty of places to spread out blankets. There aren't any birds (ducks, etc.), so this helps it stay very clean.

I love this park. Now that I went to the Art & Wind festival I love it more! I have been here for a wedding and it was nice. And my friends and I come here for batting practice. Nice park!

THE Family Park! Been here several times and everytime I'm here, I have a great time! I really enjoy the cleanliness of the park, manicured green lawns and trees, fun bright colored play structure (and what's cool is it's sectioned off by a sign that indicates what ages are appropriate for each play structure), cool skate park, tennis courts and a lot of walking paths to get a good run or speed walking workout. This place has it all! There is even an amphitheater where actually a band was setting up for may be an evening for jams. It was cool!
Saw a crowd of teenage boys hanging out in the parking lot across from the skate park - just having fun and minding their own business. This is a park where you'll feel safe to run or take a stroll alone or at night. Also, lots of picnic tables where you can throw a birthday party of 100 people. -

As a kid this park was the bees knees. It has waterfalls and fountains and ponds and creeks to play in! Also, amazing maze-like play equipment; not to mention wonderful grass areas to sit and have lunch with family.
Now, I've grown out of all of that and have discovered that this park still rocks! There are so many highlights, my favorites include: the "grass amphitheater," skate park, walkways lined with trees, tons of grass to lounge on, and watching the kids continue to enjoy all the waterworks as much as I did.
I find solace here. But it's also a great place to roller blade, play tennis or basketball, and read a book.Listed in: Places I Go Out(side)

This is pretty much the only park you can go to in San Ramon. Sure, there are other parks, but they're little neighborhood parks that aren't really notable in any way.
Anyway, this park is pretty lame for a park. There's not a lot to do. It's mostly a big area of open grass. There's a skate park here now, which is popular amongst the middle school students, and there's a playground for children, but all in all this is a pretty boring park. It's principal redeeming feature is that it gets pretty windy here, making it a good place to fly kites. -

This is my home away from home. I come here all the time for pick up basketball games. They are two courts at this park. One is for the rookies and the other one is for the professionals. A lot of people from all over East Bay come to these courts to play and they get sent home by me and my squad! lol. just kidding.
There is also a skate park here which is consider one of the best around the East Bay. -

This park has a great place for the kids and adults too. It's really roomy so you can set up a volleyball court and play.

It's a great park good for kids of every age. Good for little kids because they have a water play area and sand and a playground. Also it's good for bigger kids because they have a cool skate park and a basketball court.

This is a beautiful park and well taken care of. There is a water fountain, a little creek the kids can play in and nice playground equipment. All in which is surrounded by sand. The kids loved playing in the sand and in the water. Plus there are tons of kids there at all times. My friend came up to visit me with her kids and they has a blast. Also it is very clean. We were shocked at how clean the bathrooms were.
