I went to pick up brochures and information about the Central Texas area - for some friends from Germany.
Well as I was getting the brochures, a lady who was talking to her friend at the counter said "please come over here and sign this book" (I had just told her I was in a hurry and was on my way to work.
Well, then I browsed the brochure rack area in the next room. Then I left - waving and saying 'thank you" as I departed. The lady just kept chatting with her friend and did not say "thank you" for stopping by or anything.
Not everyone has tons of time to sit and talk to their friends at work. So they need to be sensitive to people who actually have to work when they go to their job.
