This is such a nice theater! I wish we had such a clean, small and well organized theater in San Francisco. For the size, everything was perfect.

My girlfriend and I just spent a wet weekend in SLO and after realizing the rain wasn't going to stop we needed to find shelter ASAP and this came up on Places so we dropped in.

The staff/volunteers here really make it a delight to visit. Nest time were in this nice little town we will stop in to see whats going on.

I recently saw Anne of green gables and although the actors were great and the play wonderful I probably will not return to this theater. The seating is extremely uncomfortable, small and not very practical. I had to use the rest room really bad so I had to run out the side door ( which actors come in and out of but there is no other way out) and then I had to wait till the intermission to be able to go back in. So I missed 30 minutes of the play. Not cool!!

My boyfriend and I work at a Melodrama theater so we're always looking for good entertainment when we are on vacation.  We went and saw Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged and had a wonderful time.  My boyfriend had seen the show in SLO several years ago but I'd only seen the movie.  I loved the show.

For a small town theatre, SLO little theatre is tops.
Love it, the performers, the volunteer ushers, the venue, the works.

I have never been disappointed, although I certainly have missed shows I wanted to see just because I don't get the local paper or often pickup the weekly tabloid with listings.
It would be great to get on their google calender (if they have one) or to get emails with shows and available dates!

    Go see for yourself!

Dear San Luis Obispo Little Theatre,
Please make your plays more affordable to I can enjoy them more often!  I've been to two plays here, which were great for community theatre, but overpriced simply because of lack of competition and the group's reputation.  Where I'm from, plays of this quality would probably charge around $10 a ticket, but here I think it's around $20 for general admission, just because of the lack of community theatre in the area.  This is just a personal idiosyncrasy, but as an audience member small theatres make me uncomfortable.  Scratch that.  As an audience member as well as as a performer small theatres make me uncomfortable.  There's something about being able to see the audience and the audience being able to see you that compromises that figurative 4th wall.  In more general terms, both plays I saw were average for a community theatre.  I wasn't wowed by either.  I was wowed by the free cookies at intermission though...
