I've been going to the San Jose Metaphysical Book Shop since shortly after I became interested all things metaphysical. I've always found the staff friendly and helpful. They've always been happy to order books for me if they didn't carry them, and have a pretty good selection of various incenses, candles, and other paraphernalia. Sure, I can buy stuff online, but it's nice to have a local shop, so I shop here when I need things they carry.

Closed, it was sad to see their 'lease' sign on the window and the empty store with handwritten liquidation sale sign inside.

Great selection of books, crystals, essential oils, note cards, and other metaphysical, New Age, spiritual fare. They have a psychic reader every day, a great front desk staffer who has read every cool fantasy book there is to read out there (and all the ones he has recommended me have been first-rate), and a nice atmosphere (much improved from their former Cupertino location). If you are into personal growth and are on a path of spiritual enlightenment or are just seeking more wisdom, this is the bookstore for you!

A large offering of spiritually inclined and metaphysical books, music, as well as jewelry and crystals. They also sell dried sage and everything else you would need to do a "cleansing" or there of the like. http://www.sjbookshop.com
