My wife and I (still have to get used to saying that) were recently married this past Saturday, Earl Joseph was our DJ of choice for our event. We had considered other DJs prior to deciding on Earl and I feel terrible even giving any other DJ any sort of consideration out of respect for Earl because he couldn't have executed his services anymore flawlessly than he did on Saturday night.
Over a year ago, we had interviewed Earl to see what he was all about and it was very evident even within the first five minutes of talking with him that he was extremely professional and had a passion for the work that he does. He went over every detail with a fine toothed comb and assured us that he would do an outstanding job.
We selected all of own music and unlike other DJs who may try to guide your music selections or implement some of their own, Earl made sure that our event was truly catered to us. The sound system that he possessed was top-notch and it was completely complementary to the acoustics of our wedding venue.
Earl also did an amazing job with the MC duties, he was a great facilitator and saw to it that everything was on schedule. You most certainly are the BEST DJ EVER as another posted so eloquently stated. You deserve all of the accolades that you have received and will continue to receive. Our wedding was this past weekend and we hired Earl as our DJ. We could not be happier with his performance! More importantly, he made everything so easy! The whole night people were complimenting us on the music, which is a testament to his ear for classy and tasteful music, since he chose most of the songs (after we had guided him with a few selections of our own). Also, he organized our entire evening into a simple schedule of events that all of the other vendors followed. Our big night went off without a hitch, and it was because of his organization.
Without him, our wedding planning would have been a nightmare! With him, he made us feel as though planning a wedding was actually pretty easy.
Also, our photographer, Charles Le, who does tons of weddings every year, said that Earl is his favorite DJ to work with. He said that Earl was the best he had ever seen with regard to setting the proper mood, controlling the flow of the evening, and getting even the most boring crowds to participate in the fun. I totally agree and highly recommend Earl for any occasion! -

Earl at San Jose DJ lended his services at our wedding and we were truly impressed! He is great at getting a good feel of what kind of music you would like to be played and the sort of tone you would like your reception to convey. He had almost ALL of our guests on the dance floor having an amazing time! He also provided mini-coordinating services, designed a timeline of the reception, and provided that timeline to our guests with their place settings at no extra charge. He was affordable and went the extra mile with everything. He even sent us an unexpected set of photographs in the mail that he had taken!!
I cannot rave enough. Give Earl a call!! -

As a Bay Area catering company owner, I have the opportunity to see many fellow event professionals in action. We cater ALOT of weddings, and work with many musicians, florists, photographers, DJ's, and more. The DJ can make or break the party, and I've seen the good and the bad. Earl Joseph -San Jose DJ- is great!
In searching for a DJ for your wedding, you better make sure you are getting a "wedding DJ." Club DJ's just usually don't cut it here. Experience is so necessary when it comes to feeling out your crowd. Earl has 25+ years of DJ-ing weddings and delivers time and time again. The brides, grooms, and guests are always happy they chose him.
In working with Earl for the past 10 or so years, he:
- Always shows up on time (most of the time early) every time
- Is always dressed professionally to fit the part
- Is extremely organized.
- Works with the couples on planning a smooth reception
- Has a great presence on stage to lead the party (not cheesy at all)
- When making announcements, he gets your name right (can't tell you how many times I've seen DJ's butcher names)
- Has quality audio equipment with backups
Earl reads the crowd well and adjusts the genre as well as the volume as needed to keep the people dancing.
It is always my pleasure to refer Earl to my customers, because his professionalism always shines! -

Earl was the DJ at our wedding about 6 years ago and he did an excellent job. He's very detail-oriented and truly cares about your needs. He was accommodating and made sure that all of our needs were met. He even took pictures at our wedding and sent them to us afterward. Earl's a great guy and I would highly recommend him!

Earl is the GREATEST!
First of all he was very patient with me as I didn't make the music list a top priority. I hired him months in advance. I didn't get back to him till the week of the wedding! (Sorry Earl). Anyway, he was very organized! He had some simple song lists to fill out, that i am sure would have been very helpful to him had I done this:(
He designed a time line of the events for the day and that was so, above and beyond. It really made everything flow nicely.His MC service was a life saver as I didn't have a Wedding Coordinator.
I gave him very little input. I described what kind of guests would be attending and he put together the most fabulous dance mix. He really knows what he is doing. All I heard was what a great DJ, how did you find him? People that I never expected to get up and dance were tearing it up!
I also would like to add, that he was the first to share photos that were taken on My Beautiful Day. I was so anxious to see pictures...Since you have to wait awhile till your Photographer gets your photos back to you, this was very thoughtful of Earl. Your Wedding Day goes by so fast, It was nice to see how it looked from the pictures he took!
He is so efficient, knowledgeable and organized!!!
You really do get what you pay for, he was in the middle price range of the estimates I got for a DJ. I am so glad I didn't cheap out on this service, be cause he really did help everything run smoothly! -

Earl was so great! He had a flat rate and his price is very fair. He also is incredibly easy to reach via email and phone- which is very important when planning a wedding! He was polite, fun, excited and professional. He really listened to our music requests and was sure to play the ones we requested from our list. He even let us give him a cd of polish songs that we wanted and was sure to return it at the end of the night. He was also very punctual when we met during our informational session and on the day of the wedding. Everyone danced all night and we received great compliments on his choice of songs from our guests. We definitely recommend him as your wedding dj!

Earl was a part of our wedding in October of 2007. Music is such an important part of a wedding celebration and Earl diffenately delivered. He was not only a pleasure to work with, but also very professional. My husband and I could not have asked for a better DJ at our wedding!
