SFO is one of my favorite airports... there's a BART train connected to the airport terminal that takes me out to the city all the way to the East Bay. No ride share stress or dealing with expensive airport parking because I can easily hop into the Bart and be on my way... CONVENIENT! (=
Terminal 2 for Delta airlines is clean! Very well kept, the restrooms are tidy, variety of food & coffee shops available and there's even a yoga room!
SFO makes traveling less stressful for passengers and
I really appreciate it when airports are made convenient for us all (=Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 62179124Mar 24, 20241 check-in
Signage is a bit poor outside - I guess that's on me for not remembering to tell my friend I was flying Air Canada. Walked ages from where dropoff is marked "International Departures" is to gates C/D for Air Canada in Terminal 2.
I was okay and fine with walking for my step count, but for someone with mobility issues, that would have been torture.
Horrified to hear my disabled colleague (flying separately) had such a miserable experience both on arrival AND departure! Accessibility support did NOT arrive in 10-15 minutes and actually took 30-35 minutes.
Upon arrival into SFO, my colleague, with a disability flag, was forgotten on the plane!!
To top it off, the accessibility person assigned to them spoke about my colleague to other team members when they could have just asked my colleague directly about needs. So in addition to be forgotten, my colleague wasn't even treated like a real adult person.
Here's what needs to happen:
1) have people with walkie-talkies or whatever modern system you'd like to use be stationed at dropoff doors, especially for ride share and alert people with wheelchairs to be promptly dispatched.
2) improve communication for incoming flights at gates so that people with wheelchairs can be at the ready and we don't have airplane cleaners giving forgotten people BS for not getting off the plane when they can't.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Nov 4, 2023
I can't believe I used to fly out of San Francisco as my home. This airport is remodeled and it is nice but also there are major downsides.
It is under construction, so if you need to go from terminal one to terminal two, you have to go outside of the security. If you are in international you have to walk or you have to take the airplane thing it's really inconvenient. Everything has to go outside of the security what kind of airport is this?
I am also a member of Priority pass. The Priority Pass app shows I can go to four or five different kind of lounges in San Francisco airport it's lies!!!!!!
They are over clouded they are not taking anymore people. They said oh try to go to the Golden Gate lounge. Try to go to this try to go that come back at 12 then you go back at 12 they don't take you. This is the worst place. This airport needs to have better access for the passengers inside of the terminal. They should not be going outside of the terminal security and go back to the different security again the worst nightmare.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 836041157Jan 31, 20246 check-ins
Lovely new terminal and it's absolutely shiny with all new stores and restaurants. Love flying out of here and trying out all new spots .

One of the fastest TSA check in I have ever seen. They have a great restaurants and love the monorail train.

Flew out of SFO T2 the other day and it was a mediocre experience. Drop off by the ride-share was convenient and signage was plentiful to check-in.
TSA-Pre security checkpoint took a few minutes although the pre-screening agent was a touch short. The screening process was super quick with the ability to leave shoes and belts on as well as keeping liquids and laptops inside my luggage for convenience.
There were numerous food and beverage options although the Napa Farms Market only has limited options since pre-Covid. Other dining options seem to be either fast food or fast caual restaurants.
Attempted to purchase a periodical at the newstand and found it all that numerous outposts only had older editions in stock...
The terminal was a quiet terminal with annoucements only made at one's gateHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 1Feb 3, 2012Previous reviewCame by T2 at SFO for my flight on AA. T2 has the Napa Family Market which also has Tyler Florence. Remember to grab the Porchetta meal/sandwich before hopping on your flight!
As a new terminal, it was spacious and there were numerous self-serve terminals.
Security was a breeze and the departure gates were comfortable and modern. - 5711661923Feb 9, 20241 check-in
It's an airport and it is what it is. I avoid it because Oakland is closer, but even when I'm in the wrong terminal, I can still find my way around. It's not the worst airport ever. The signs that took me from terminal 6, the wrong one to terminal 2 were easy to follow. However, my experience with the airline was a cluster. But the airport, terminal 2 didn't ruin my day, and that's good.

So I arrived at 6:30am for a 9:30am flight, thinking the crowd would be small. Wrong. I didn't have to stand in the check your bag line, so on to security. Thankfully, I had the foresight to get TSA PreCheck / Clear months in advance, so obnoxiously smug, I sailed past the endless line. Now I had a ridiculous amount of time to kill.
No problem, as I realize I had chosen the wrong security line for the wrong gate. It's a very, very, very long walk down an endless hallway with no moving sidewalk, not a wheelchair in sight (luckily I didn't need).
Gate D was impressive, a bookstore, clothing shop, other retail, several cafes, restaurant, bar, & coffee stops.
Gate C, not so much.
Like Gate C & D, no outlets in sight, so if your phone battery is low you'll be sitting on the ground at the one outlet next to the garbage cans. At least the airport is clean, and there's some pods of groovy retro upholstered chairs which are always taken.
No gender neutral bathrooms, but there is a baby changing & doggy bathroom. Nice touch.
There's helpful flight information signs everywhere, and the gate agents arrive about 1.5 hours before departure.
As with most airports, the overhead announcements are hard to hear over the people noise.
Gotta say, SFO is one of the better airports, lots of new building, decent local food stops, not a Mickey D in sight.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 5, 2023
Another big airport! Sadly not as many people movers as one would hope for. So make sure you are arriving early with time to spare! I do love the monorail train that connects the whole compound though! Much easier to get to our car than the old bus system! Plus nicer and more relaxing after traveling all day!

At the time of writing this review, San Francisco International Airport ("SFO") has four terminals: Terminals 1-3 and the International Terminal. SFO was built in a circular configuration with the terminals ascending counterclockwise. Roughly, the terminals begin with Terminal 1 on the south side of the circle (three o'clock) and the International Terminal on the west side of the circle (nine o'clock). The west side of the circle is where ground transportation, including the SFO BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station (https://www.yelp.com/biz/san-francisco-international-airport-bart-station-san-francisco), is located.
What are typically referred to by other airports as "Concourses" are called "Boarding Areas" at SFO. Currently, the Boarding Areas (concourses/gates) are as follows:
* Harvey Milk Terminal 1: Boarding Area B (B gates)
* Terminal 2: Boarding Areas C and D (C and D gates)
* Terminal 3: Boarding Areas E and F (E and F gates)
* International Terminal: Boarding Areas G and A (G and A gates)
Like many larger airports that have grown and evolved over the decades (oftentimes in piecemeal), SFO's layout may not make complete sense at first glance (e.g., why are the A and G gates together?). One of the last times I arrived at SFO, at Gate C8, Terminal 2, I was a bit surprised to see, upon checking into the terminal on Yelp, that I'd yet to leave a review for Terminal 2. This was a carrier, Delta, and route, ATL (Atlanta) to SFO, that I've taken many times over the years. I had a couple roundtrips through here back in the fall.
Terminal 2 was fine. Boarding Area C is relatively small with 10 gates. On one trip, my wife and I had a $15 Delta meal voucher to use, which expired that day. We ended up getting food from Dogpatch Bakehouse and Caffe, located at the far end of Boarding Area C, between Gates C10 and C11. We had a good experience and recommend them: https://www.yelp.com/biz/dogpatch-bakehouse-and-caff%C3%A9-san-francisco-3.
Initially, we walked down to and tried to order food and drink from Dolores Park Cafe, situated between Gates C3 and C5, but they didn't accept Delta meal vouchers. That was disappointing. On a subsequent trip, my buddy and I picked up smoothies from Dolores Park Cafe. Mine was good. I recommend Dolores Park Cafe as well: https://www.yelp.com/biz/dolores-park-cafe-san-francisco-4.
In general, Boarding Area C was unremarkable and looked dated, especially when compared to other parts of SFO. I believe a renovation of Boarding Area C is planned. Boarding Area C used to be part of Terminal 1. In 2020, it was "moved" to Terminal 2 due to construction/renovation of Terminal 1's Boarding Area B.
Side note: Presently, Terminal 1 is the only terminal at SFO that has a name attached to it. It was named after San Francisco and LGBTQ figure Harvey Milk in 2018. There was an attempt to name the entire airport after him, but it was unsuccessful.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0
