The Gigantes have been my team since I learned to talk. The legends and records keep coming as we now have The Freak, Little Panda and a couple new additions to the team. Our pitching has remained strong and the batting is improving daily. We've had a decent season so far and I have a strong feeling we have a chance at a Pennant. Thanks to you Bochy and the rest of the organization. While I did enjoy the entertaining Barry Bonds, it's refreshing for the team to have moved on.

Let's go Giants, let's go!!!!

His father flew all the way from Puerto Rico to watch his son pitch for the first tiime. And what do you know:  his son threw a no-hitter!

Congratulation to Jonathan Sanchez for pitching the Gigante's first  no-hitter in more than 30 years!!

I love the Giants and AT&T Ballpark... Last year I was a member of a group of season ticket holders and I had so much fun... this year due to the economy I had to give up my seats.  So you can imagine how happy I was when my boyfriend's friend gave me and my daughter two front row seats FC right behind the Giants dugout.  I tell ya after sitting in those seats it is going to be very hard to go back and sit some where else again...

Thank you Giants for being my team.. and thank you SAN FRANCISCO for being my home!!!

Bummer, the season is coming to a disappointing end. Doesn't stop me from loving this team. It's KJ's fault :). Maybe next year...   I think I will have to pick myself up one of those cute Panda hats at the final homer tomorrow, when we get to watch the Franchise do his magic for the last time this season.  GO GIANTS!

Woo Hoo! Another season is upon us.

Sign #1 that it was going to be a good day:
Drove in the rain to get to the park, and when I exited the parking structure the clouds parted and the rain stopped.

Sign #2
Went down to the field level and got some good pictures of Giants execs, field crew squeegee-ing the field tarp, and various characters milling around.

Sign #3
One of the ushers that I have known for years was "guarding" the entrance to the club level area under the good seats - she let me right in.

Sign #4
When my wife showed up from work, they let her in too.

That is when we had our traditional champagne toast to the new season and began the debate and betting of our teams (she is a Dodger fan - yes, it is a mixed marriage).

The champagne is expensive (but everything is there).  The peanuts at the counter between the Derby Grill and the sliced beef sandwich place are the best in the entire ballpark - fresh, roasted to perfection, just lightly salted and served warm in a large cup.

Great day (though Timmy could have pitched better).  Didn't rain the whole game, and the sun even came out in the 7th inning.  The Giants won, hit a couple HR's, and made some good plays on the field.

Just a great day all around.

Thanks Giants.

I'll be there for you all year long, rain or shine.

Back Thursday night.

Dear Giants,

I love you.  But let's reminisce about what you've done to me....

4-0 sweep in the 1989 World Series, leaving me to endure 20+ years of taunting from A's fans in the Bay Area.

103 wins in '93, only to miss the playoffs due to ridiculous, prehistoric divisions.  And a 12-1 embarassment on the last day of the season.  Salomon Torres starting, for the pennant?  Are you serious? http://www.baseball-re...

Swept again in '97 to a team that hadn't existed 4 years earlier.  Then taking Rob Nenn and Livan Hernandez from that team, only to lose to the Marlins again in '03.

JT Snow's miraculous game-tying home run in the 2000 division series against the Mets, just so Felix Rodriguez could blow it in extra innings.  Then taking Armando Benitez from that Mets team, just so he could blow more big games for us.

20-mutherfucking-2: I can't believe I have to talk about this... the game ball... Rodriguez again, Eyre, Worrell... why even play a 7th game?  I can't even imagine being less excited for the Giants playing in Game 7 of the World Series.  You know how people claim they can sense when I loved one is hurt/dead?  I was so positive the Giants were going to lose that game, I didn't have to watch.  Wait, who's starting?  Livan Hernandez?   Great, I'm going to the fucking mall.

2003: 100 wins.  Best record in baseball.  Maybe we make up for last year.  Hold on a sec... we can't beat the Marlins ever!  Sidney Ponson and Joe Nathan terrible in game 2, only to add insult to injury when he trade Nathan and Francisco Liriano for clubhouse-killer AJ Pierzynski... Jose Cruz, Jr dropping the ball... Felix blowing the deciding game again.

2004: Cody Ransom, the worst hitter in the world, only on our team for defensive purposes, booting a routine grounder.  Then surrendering a game-ending grand slam to 40 year old Steve Finley (who we then signed) to lose the pennant to the Dodgers.

The steroids were fine - didn't bother me at all.

At least when we finish in last place, my heart doesn't get broken.  Giants, I am like your Rihanna, and you are my Chris Brown.  I keep coming back, despite your continued beatings.  But you will not get 5 stars until I get one World Series during my lifetime.

Great team play in a world class park. I had the pleasure of seeing the Giants play Philly with a strong win. It was a great time. It's been a while since I have been at ATT, in fact, the last time it was still Pac Bell. There seemed to be more families with kids attending with the park engaging kids on many levels, including one who announced the players as they took their turn to bat. What a great way to help inspire and reinforce the sense of family. Maybe more parents should take away the Wii and XBox and take their kids to a game.

Well, after the commanding opening day 2009 victory against Milwaukee, I'm excited to see what we do this year.   My personal goal that i'd like to see the team acheive is an above .500 record, and anything else that comes along with that will be a sweet bonus.

The stadium is amazing! Parking was EASY as was leaving the stadium. No crazy traffic. Screw you Fenway!

Great tickets were easy to get on the net. I sat next to some other business travelers and had ourselves a good conversation. There weren't any drunk idiots around us.

It's right on the water, so we saw some gawkers in boats trying to watch the game.

The food was decent.

What was annoying:

They don't let you in or out of the seats at certain times (when the home team is up at bat). I've been to other stadiums and have never had that problem. Those ushers are very annoying!

My team, but yall need to get Brian Sabean out of the GM role.  He's been making some dumbass garbage moves over the past years.  After the team started breaking apart after that 2002 World Series loss to The Angels and their stupid rally monkey, I think he should've focused more on building their team around young 16-25 year old prospects or 24-30 year old proven studs with a lot of life left in them.  I think they had the oldest team in MLB at one point, and they had a 3-man 40+ year old outfield at one point too.

I even told everyone he was a fuckin idiot when he gave Barry Zito that ridiculous contract.  I'd never give a pitcher who only hits 91 or 92 max on his fastball that much money.  $15 mil+ territory is for power pitchers who get strikeouts, not finesse pitchers with low ERAs who don't K anyone.  They should've worried more about getting a power hitter like Carlos Lee or someone like him to replace Barry Bonds.  Now they have no one.  Aaron Rowand for $9.6 mil a year?  C'mom!  You should've just gave $15 mil a season to some big ass slugger that it wouldn't even matter how big AT&T Park is.  $8.9 mil to Randy Winn.  $6.5 mil for Dave Roberts' old ass.  Not much of an outfield right there.  And I doubt they will be able to sign Tim Lincecum once his contract runs out too.

And I like how Kevin Frandsen might be their starting 2nd Baseman in 2009.  He wasn't even the best hitter (or at least power hitter) at Bellarmine when he was a senior.  Edgar Renteria is kind of old, but better than Omar Visquel offensively.  Bengie Molina for $6.3 mil is a pretty good deal for the numbers he's been putting up, but I'm not sure how many more years he has in those knees of his.

But damn $14.5 mil a year to Zito killed the Giants!  One of the worst acquisitions in recent history.  45 year old Randy Johnson will be interesting to watch this season, but damn, the Giants really need to rebuild.  Zito is pretty much untradable unless they pay like half his contract, but their hitting lineup sucks!

And they also had one of the worst trades ever by giving away Joe Nathan and Francisco Liriano for AJ Pierzynski who didn't get along with people, so he got dealt too.  Man...Sabean needs to hang it up.

They really should've just resigned Bonds for the league minimum of like $350K or whatever it was that Bonds said he would've played for and donated his entire salary to charity.

My favorite Giants teams that I can actually remember had to have been the 1993 Giants with Kirk Manwaring, Will Clark, Robby Thompson, Royce Claton, Matt Williams, Barry Bonds, Darren Lewis, and Todd Bennzinger, which had like 5 gold gloves and Bonds won the MVP, but they got Jewed in the playoffs since there was no 4 team playoff system back then with a wild card team like there is now, and it was just a pure pennant race for the National League and American League Championship.  103 wins.  Geeze!  Bill Swift, John Burkett, and Rodd Smith on that team too.

2002 team was pretty bomb also.  That game 6 ending was a heartbreaker.  Fuckin Scott Spiezio.  Fuckin Giants Bullpen!

Not sure how many more year it will be before they bring their first World Series home to SF, since they haven't won one, since they were in NY.

GO GIANTS!

The Giants are my team.
I was born in SF, grew up playing Little League baseball, my father was a Giants fan, and that whole "experience" of listening to KSFO and Lon Simmons, playing baseball everyday, it was all a part of my life.  I saw Willie Mays play, Chris Speir was one of my idols when I played shortstop, Bobby Bonds, and his son Barry, Barry's last few years with us, those moments were exhilarating!  Duane Kuiper calling his home runs~, god those were thrilling moments!

Now I'm over 40, and I'm the same avid, loyal, loving fan, no change, it never changes.

It helps, when they win... (I'm on Cloud 9), but you and I know that, it doesn't always work out that way.  This year is a good example, we're out of the playoff race, 2nd to last place in our division, 15 games under .500, doesn't matter, right now watching these kids play is the most exciting, fun thing.  Lincecum and Cain, Velez, Sandoval, with the vets Bengie, Richie, Randy Winn, and on-and-on, I love this squad we have right now, we get on these 5-6 game winning streaks as we should, but then lose 5-6, so something is still not right, but look at the past 2 months or so and a-change is in the making, I can feel it.

The Giants have history, tradition, pride, heart, and it lives in me.
Now, for the 2009 season, perhaps make a few good acquisitioons, keep the key players, and maybe us SF fans will finally be rewarded with a new SF Giants powerhouse dynasty (ala the 49'ers in the 80's), either way with this crop of good youngsters, it will be fun!

All the youngsters being called up are making immediate impact?

Wow, these kids are impressive. That Sandoval kid is very lovable. Travis Ishikawa looks like the future First Baseman. Burris will only get better and kid is fast. I can't say enough good things about Lewis. He should get better with this season's experience under his belt.

Pitching staff is improving and Lincecum is a Little Giant....literally!!! Plus, he's part Filipino. Wo hoo!!!

Gotta support your team; through good times and bad times.

Go Giants!!!

I will always love you Giants, but seriously, why do you treat me like Dodger trash.  I can't say I go to a ton of games, but when I do, you greet me with pain and torture.  The most recent episode being Opening Night and the disgruntling death blow 3-Run dinger courtesy of the opposing team's pitcher.  The post game fireworks were nice though...

I will be a San Francisco Giants fan till the day I die!  I have so many great memories of going to games at "the Stick" and I will never call it anything other than Candlestick Park.  Sittling in the bleachers through the '90's watching Clark, Thompson, and Williams.  Seeing Rod Beck, arm swinging, with that feerless look in his eye.  RIP Shooter.

There is such a great history here with Willie Mays and Willie Mac. Two amazing players and they come out for the team when they can.  The rivel with the Dodgers and with our American League team, the Oakland A's.

When Peter Magowen took over the team is was a breath of fresh air.
Barry Bonds gave us something to cheer about again.  And we came so close to that elusive win in the Wold Series.  In October 2002, I gave birth to my daughter and promptly turned the TV on to watch the World Series.  I was postive they would win that year....

AT&T Park is awesome!  Great sight lines and I was lucky enough to go to opening day of the park!  A day I will never forget!  The park is baseball all the way but it's also got the San Francisco feel to it and that beautiful view of the bay!!!

I could go on and on.  The Giants are what made me love baseball.  I love the game.  I've been to lots of other ballparks, Denver, Phoenix, Shea in New York, but none give me the feel I get when I go to see my Giants play ball!!!

Go Giants!!!!!

Dear San Francisco,

Since you're always talking about how Los Angeles is so brainless and unintelligent, I guess I'll write this review as simply as possible as not to shock you with my literacy.

National League West Division Titles:
Giants- 6
Dodgers- 9

National League Pennants:
Giants: 20
Dodgers: 21

World Series Titles All Time:
Giants: 5
Dodgers: 6

What I find to be the saddest in looking at all the data is... how better of a team the Giants were in New York. Sure, the Giants are leading the head-to-head wins, but if you take out the New York years, it suddenly gets really lopsided in favor of Southern California.

I mean, considering that the Giants haven't won a World Series since moving out west, San Francisco is with San Diego (and at least Whale's Vagina has a sports curse, SF does not)  as the only two California cities to have never won a World Series. Hate on the A's and Dodgers all you want, but Oakland and Los Angeles got something you don't. Heck, even Los Anaheim got it while you don't.

With love,

Dodgers fan.

P.S. Why is one of your mascots a STD? Okay, bad joke. But seriously, why is one of your mascots a retarded crab?

P.P.S. Okay, okay. I'll make some concessions. You folks sure do have a pretty stadium. And you guys do have more Hall of Famers than the Dodgers do. But who has a better record this season? Want a hint? It's not you.

You were my first love, and led me to dizzying heights growing up. From freezing my butt off at Candlestick with my dad, to freezing my butt off in the Snowpack with my girlfriend, I've been there for you, and you've been there for me. Granted these days you break my heart more often than not, but like every fan, I have high hopes for next year.

I'd love it if you dropped your prices a little though. I love that I can always get a ticket, but I hate spending $20 for a beer and a chacha bowl. And Lou Seal kinda creeps me out too, yaknow... when he does that pelvic thrust thing?

Ok, I'm writing a review on the baseball I hate the most but I honestly don't hate them as much as I used to since Barry Bonds is no longer there, who is probably the most hated sports figure ever in L.A. lol, me and every other Dodger fan misses booing Bonds and doing the "Barry Sucks" chants at Dodger Stadium but I don't miss him always smoking us that's for sure lol, I liked the rivalry a lot more when Bonds was there though. But anyways, I take great pride in the Dodgers/Giants rivalry and I've always respected the Giants just like I respect every other team and most Giants fans are well behaved whenever I go to Giants/Dodgers games at AT&T Park and I always try to go to at least one Dodger game each series when they play the Giants in SF. I like a lot of former Giants players and managers such as Matt Williams, Jeff Kent, Will Clark, Brett Butler, Kevin Mitchell, Deion Sanders, Dave Roberts, Frank Robinson, Roger Craig, Dusty Baker, Darryl Strawberry, etc. I also like current Giants Randy Johnson, Pablo Sandoval(Kung Fu Panda has to be the coolest nickname in baseball!), Rich Aurilia and Barry Zito are class acts too. But I can't wait until August 10th when the Dodgers are in town and I'm going to that game, Jason Schmidt is scheduled to start that game and this will be his 1st time back to AT&T Park as a Dodger and Giants fans should give him a standing ovation for everything he did for the Giants but I doubt that will happen even though he hasn't done much as a Dodger while Manny is for sure to be booed bad and this will be his 1st visit to AT&T Park since ending his 50 game suspension. But it's nice to see the rivalry be renewed again with the Giants being good again but I still think they need more power hitting and I don't think Sanchez isn't going to cut it for them but we'll see. THINK BLUE!! GIANTS SUCK!!

I would be a lot happier if they would spend some money and sign Manny Ramierez already!

Tim Lin-"CY"-cum  is the past, present and future right now, so lets gets some hitters and make a run. The NL west is, and has been soft for a few years now, all we need is some bats to provide run support! Who cares if Manny is a head case, Barry Bonds wasn't always the easiest player to love but every time he came up to bat there was a chance of a home run, same goes for Manny! Also, taking the best player the Blue Bums from LA have had in a while would make the whole thing sweeter!

So far we're competitive for the 2008 season.  My goal this season is to get tickets for every game that "The Franchise" aka Tim Lincecum pitches at home.

My gf also enjoys reminding me how she really enjoys watching Aaron Rowand stick out his crotch when he's batting.  I'll be covering her eyes the next time that happens or maybe I should work on my batting stance...hmm....

I love you, my San Francisco Giants. I've been a fan ever since my dad started taking me to games at Candlestick Park as a kid. But for the love of God, please learn to hit. Then maybe, maybe, San Francisco will turn into a baseball town and AT&T Park won't sit in silence during games.

I'm going to buy season tickets anyway. But I'd really appreciate it if when Matt Cain strikes out 11, he gets the goddamn win. Giving the man 1 hit is not going to cut it.

I'm not trying to knock the Giants (even tho I prefer the A's) I will never pass up the opportunity to root, root, root for the home team and will do it with the fat tickets that every so often I get as a treat from my company.

The Giants sucked ass on Saturday and countless days prior to that.  That might have bothered me if I were a true Giants fan.

I cheered my heart out for them from the club Legends and enjoyed seam splitting amounts of free food and non alcohol drinks.  I think its a beautiful stadium and the fans are some of the very best!

I love going to free ball games and I didnt even mind paying $33.00 for two rum and cokes (doubles) but next time, I'm sneaking booze in!

though the 2 stars (I've experience better) is more acurate on my experience with this team, stadium, and fans. I've grown up in the bay area and i do cherish the few good memories i've had with my father. the old candlestick is where we used to go catch the games and candlestick will always have a special place in my heart.
the new park is nice i really like it. the selection of food is great. but in my honest opinion our fans suck! we lack the passion of the east coast. the energy and the feel as you approach the park. one time i had a person tell me "oh i don't go to the giants game to watch baseball, i'm just there to eat the food"  at the risk of offending other foodies i say, What the hell is wrong with you!
but this review is about the club and what they've been doing and trying to improve so they get the 4 stars. not winning a championship for so long, you lost a star!

I've never bought season tickets.
I don't know any ball player's name.
I usually don't watch sports on TV.
I don't even know who won the super bowl.
........... world series.
I don't mind watching synchronized swimming, gymnastic, dancing, weight lifting, boxing and olympic wrestling instead.

But, I think SF Giants is .....
I have nothing to do with the ball club but I am proud of the fact that SF has Giants. I think, at least, SF Giants gives all children in SF a dream. I was a father of small boys and we went to the Candle steak park, and I saw that all boys and girls were having so much fun.

By the way,
can we cut him some slack?
I'm talking about Barry Bonds.
Yes, it is such a disappointment.
But, Barry Bonds is a great player who made a mistake.
I think that's it.
I don't think that Government use our money about this issue.
It's just a ball game.

How about Bill Clinton?
He did lie to all of us.
Compare to Bill Clinton, Barry is just another little thing that nothing to do with anything.
But Bill Clinton.

So, Monica L. said,
" I sucked Bill Clinton's penis!"
Bill C. should say out loud,
" She sucked Bill Clinton's penis!"

He should not lie.
I didn't know Monica is republican. She FXXXed democrat really good. Maybe she was hired for a secret mission impossible!

I wonder how much tax payer's money Government is using for Barry Bonds. I am just tired seeing him on news like that. Barry took the drug but SO WHAT? He was just playing baseball, that's all.
He just didn't have a strong mind to not taking the drug, he just wanted to make himself "BIG" so badly more than anything.
He couldn't say "NO".

Do you remember the movie, Super Mario Brothers? about 15 years ago? in the movie, there are Big Bad Ass Guys with a Small Head. That's a image that I have to the all of sports men and women who took drugs to make themselves big.

http://www.youtube.com...

But I still think Government should pay attention to something more important things.

LET THE KIDS PLAY!!!

Read a lot of the reviews here and I share many similar sentiments: frustrations with management, ball club too old, WHERE IS THE FREAKIN' FARM SYSTEM?!?, overpaid contracts, and we're paying satan right now for our earlier sins.

Born and raised in San Francisco, earned my share of "Croix de Candlesticks" and I too have shed orange and black tears.  Can I just get one effin' world series victory in my lifetime?!?  This is the unfortunate reality today for my beloved Giants.  So for all the die-hard Giants fans, what do we have to look forward to this year? The kids.

Looking at the Giants during spring training, all the 'experts' are picking them to come in last in the Majors!  It's going to be a looooong season, folks!  And it's going to be very tough in the NL West with all the pitching improvements.  But there's still a lot of baseball to be played and a lot of room for growth on this team.

Just finished watching the Giants tonight (09APR08).  J. Sanchez: 2 bb and 10k's !!!  Are you kidding me?!?  How about that bomb from F Lewis to B. Molina at home to take out Edmonds?  Ortmeier's game winning double bottom of the ninth?  That is what I'm talking about.   We still have a lot of young talent to look forward to this year.

Here are 12 reasons to look forward to this season:
Bocock
Cain
Castillo
Correia
Davis
Lewis
Lincecum
Ortmeier
Sanchez
Taschner
Valdez
Velez

What I would like to see this season is young, hard-nosed, fundamentals and dirty (the infield kind!:) baseball with a lot of heart.  If I can just get that, it doesn't matter how many games we lose as long as we can see some growth in the kids..  and pleezzzee!!!

... LET THE KIDS PLAY!!!

Go GIANTS!!!

A new era is beginning for the Giants. No longer will there be frequent Splash Hits in McCovey Cove. No longer will we have a mile long row of rubber chickens hanging in right field. No longer will I be able to turn to Channel 2 to watch a Giants telecast. Sad times indeed.

For all the rebuilding times we have upon us, at least we have a jewel of a ballpark, awesome fans, Kruk and Kuip, an organization that is willing to do what it takes to get us out of this process quickly so we can compete for a World Series title, and of course yummy GARLIC FRIES! Yes I'm being optimistic but that's what you do for the team you love. Besides, we can be this year's Colorado Rockies, right? :-D

The SF Giants and i were introduced by mutual friend and the rest... as they say... is history.

So what if they aren't a winning team and are predicted to end up last in the national league west this season?  Its only because they are playing the young 'uns to prepare them for greatness.

So what if they overpaid for an under-performing zito?  Let's look on the brightside.. they have timmy "the franchise" lincecum, speedy velez and the new power hitter bowker.  those three alone convince me that the giants are worth watching!

And so what if the bullpen is terrible?  Yea, we have the speed, but the accuracy leaves much to be desired.  That's what the pitching coach is for!  Wilson and Yabu seem like they have some great potential, but i have to say that hennessy is washed out needs to go away.

None of that matters.  I love the giants and they are making the game fun to watch again.

GO GIANTS! (or BEAT LA, because lets be honest, they mean the same thing!)

I love the Giants, even when they suck.
and I will always love Jose Cruz Jr. even though he dropped that ONE ball that cost us so much.
The ball park is great, the food is good, friendly ushers.
And BARRY IS GONE!!  Getting over himself I'm sure...I know we all love the excitement he brought to the Giants, but I sure didn't appreciate the criticism either!  Anyways, on to bigger and better things.
We also have the BEST announcers in the MLB.  You guys can eliminate my face anyday!!  They always find the funniest stuff that fans or players are doing.
And Lou Seal, how I love you, let me count the ways...
Now if we could get rid of Brian Sabean and get a better farm system, we may be able to be a decent team in a few years.
Til then I'll be kickin back with an Irish Coffee and screaming my lungs out.

I am only writing this review because my friend Mike M. asked me to.  Reviewing my team is like reviewing my family - can you really give your family 2.5 stars???  I didn't think so.

What can I say about my Giants?  I am reminded of an old fable I heard a long time ago . . .  Stay with me, there's a point to it.

Apple Worm meets Tapeworm on the street.

Tapeworm: "Apple Worm, what's it like living inside the apple?"
Apple Worm: "Oh, it's wonderful.  There's lots of delicious food all around me, I am outside the whole day.  It's pure heaven."
Tapeworm [a little jealous]: "Wow, that sounds great"
Apple Worm: "What's it like living inside, ummm, you know, the stomach!?"
Tapeworm: "Oh, it's horrible.  I am always in the dark, I can never find enough decent food, and the smell . . .  It's just awful. "
Apple Worm: "Why don't you relocate?  I am sure we can find you a nice ripe apple to live in."
Tapeworm: "No, thanks.  I know it's gross, I know it stinks, but it's still my home."

And that, ladies and gentlemen, describes your San Francisco Giants perfectly.  There are better teams out there, but this is my team.  I just hope my grandchildren won't be too old to see them win a World Series.  The G-ddamn Red Sox did it twice in the last 4 years, so why can't we?

Bart Giamatti, former Commissioner of Baseball, once said that the game of baseball is "designed to break your heart."  Giants fans know it all too well.

After all those non-sequiturs, I only have one thing left to say to you: BEAT LA!!!

I am a season ticketholder so my review is biased. I also have the best ticket rep, Greg Marinec, who should be given a big raise for all he does for his people.

The staff is just great. Wish the prices were not so high or I wouldn't have to sell so many of my tickets to pay for them each year. But I'll just take my lumps until the team is good again.

By the way, good riddance to that steroid using liar Barry Bonds. The team may not be as good as it was with him but he was such a negative drag on everybody it seems like a breath of fresh air that he is gone. He treated EVERYONE like dirt.

The Giants played like crap but man was I on my "A GAME!"

First Inning : two beers

Second  Inning : MACHO NACHOS - chips, meat, cheese, onions and carrots.  Carrots!!  You know that's legit Mexican when there are carrots present

Third Inning : one beer

Fourth Inning : one beer, garlic fries and 1/2 bag of peanuts

Fifth Inning : One shot of pepto.  I was prepared.

Sixth inning :  Churro time baby!

Seventh Inning : One beer and one ice cream sandwich.  HUGE mistake but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Eighth Inning : I managed to eat a brat.  Yes, a brat.

Ninth Inning : Guinness.  Why?  Cause it sounded like a good desert.

Total cost : who knows, i used my Visa card
Total calories : Ummm...a lot?

Why is it that I spend more time thinking about the Giants during the off-season than I do during the summer? Oh yea, it's cause Brian Sabean and Peter Magowan are fucking killing me right now. You get one, maybe two, post-Bonds years to turn this crap around and at least keep us from being the laughing stock of the NL West.

It's gonna be a very, very long season. Thank you for keeping the Kid.

I'll keep this civil, but for all you Dodgers haters out there, there's a bit of information I'd like to share with you.

World Series Championships since moving to California:
LA Dodgers - 5 (1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988)
SF Giants - 0 (zero, zilch, nada, none, nil)

I guess i have to put up with the Giants talk since I live in the Bay Area, but I happily adopted the A's when I moved here from SoCal.

I'll give the Giants the extra star because they play in the best stadium in the Majors. For the record, I gave (insert telecom company name) Park four stars (I had to deduct a star for the Giants). http://www.yelp.com/bi...

If there's a more boring team in the history of baseball, I don't know what it is.  From a plastic stadium to uptight fans to the world's-oldest outfield to a minor-league system that hasn't produced a position player since 1993, the Giants are just slightly more interesting than watching the outfield grass grow.  Don't forget last year's embarrassing 75-87 season.

Once Barry Bonds is gone, this team will sink into irrelevance and a second-division record.  Then we'll see if so-called Giants "fans" still think a kiddie pool in center field is a neat idea.

I am a die-hard Giants fan, through and through. Have been for 20 years, through the lean and pathetic early to mid-80's, to the present (almost) glory days.  Our team has one of the richest and most celebrated histories in all of professional sport, and has amassed more wins than any other professional sports team ever to walk onto a field, court or rink.

And as for A's fans, you only despise us out of your pure covetous envying nature, for your team has hideous uniforms, a stark and ugly stadium with really bad food and frequent gang attacks, a dismally bankrupt payroll, and a recent history even more humiliating than the Giants' (the A's went 54-108 in 1979, with a total attendance of 306,000).

We may never win the World Series, but we are loyal and will die trying.
