i came to work at the after school program here last year. and i was honestly jealous of the kids that got to go to school here. granted the location is in an old medical office building and the rooms are small. BUT, the class size was 20 children to 1 teacher, and usually with an aide or with two volunteer parent teachers in every class. all the teachers that i dealt with were helpful and sweet. ideally, if i had a five year old running around, i would have seriously considered enrolling them into this charter school.
the after school program i worked for was awesome also. we watched kids from 6:30-8:30am and then again from 3-6pm. The after school program was more than playtime. it was structured with activities and learning lessons.
all in all sdccs is a great community of kids, parents, siblings and teachers. highly recommended. long waiting list. heard they are getting a new location soon, too!
