This is a bed and breakfast and the bathroom down the hall for some rooms is probably normal. Not for me though I got a room with an bathroom. The staff and owner are extremely helpful and committed to making you feel at home. The included morning breakfast is great. The rooms are small, but this the case of old buildings. The owner shared the story of how they bought this place and had to fix it back up, a labor of love. I would go back.
I have stayed at the San Anselmo Inn a couple of times. Bed and Breakfasts are not really my thing...although I did enjoy watching Newheart. Some rooms have bathrooms and some don't. Again not really my thing unless I'm in traveling Europe. Every room has a different. I think we stayed in hat room...If you like B & B's I think you'll like this one.

A quiet, very nice B&B in the middle of San Anselmo, a great decompression stop. We had a bathroom, though a shared one was across the hall. No view from the room, but who cares, get out and walk along the street or climb up to the seminary and do the labyrinth. Yummy breakfast, friendly, helpful staff, many delights around San Anselmo. When we visited, "Hot August Nights" cars woke us up Sun AM, WAY COOL!!! Definite repeat.
