My bf, sis, and I went her one night. The food we ordered was pretty average. It had the basic flavor of what the dish was suppose to be, but that's it. I've had better. I wouldn't go back.
On the plus side, there is a patio area it shares with a neighboring restaurant, and a patron was eating his food with his dog by his side. So I assume you could bring your doggie there if you want to go...
Samurai Sam's is a cozy japanese fast food place with a surprisingly large amount of seating. Portions are good and not overly filled with rice.
As far as taste, well it is just OK. I did like the chicken. It was tender and not over done. The salad dressing was good. The gyoza (pot stickers) were a little dissapointing though.
Prices are a tad high for lunch. Expect to pay around $9, maybe a little more with drink. That make it around $20 for a couple with tip. Sad to say, but Bristol Farms looks like a bargin.
This a great fast food Japanese restaurant for people on the go. I always get the Steak Yaki Soba with extra meat. Yes, extra means you pay more but I really think this soba should be loaded with more meat plus the fact that I'm always on a high protein diet plus I, naturally am a meat lover so... yeah, I get this with extra meat. All the time.
The place is pretty cozy plus the fact that there is central mini-eating hub just outside the restaurant is a major plus. Oh, and it's heated too, just in case you'd think about eating in the outdoor during the winter season. Price is typical for a restaurant around the El Segundo-Manhattan Beach area and the service is average to good at any given time. The place is great for informal meetings and friendly get-togethers. So if you're watching your diet and have the need to feed your beast with some meat loving, this is one of the places I would highly recommend. Itadakimasu!
sorry to be harsh with three stars but this place was very ok.
Samurai sams has a sushi bar and some tables although its more like a take out place the reason why i gave it three stars is because we waited too long for the sushi chef to make our sushi other than that the food was really delicious i ordered a large steak bowl which was delicious and a sushi roll thing i forgot what it was but it was really delicious i would definetly go back if the sushi chef is around because he is the only guy that can me the sushi

I love Samurai Sam's, I always go there when I go visit my family. It just taste so good and they have the best teriyaki sauce. I've only ever gotten their Teriyaki All White Meat Chicken bowl but I've tasted their beef bowl as well. Both pretty good in my book. I crave it almost every day but there isn't one close enough in LA. :(
This was a daily ritual for me for a while...
It's right next to work. It's fast, the workers are cool... and it's right next to work (yeah... I know I said that twice... I'm reachin'.)
I'm not much into teriyaki sauce... and they put it in EVERYTHING.
If you're like me... try getting the Steak and Mushroom Bowl with NO teriyaki sauce. Add soy sauce over the top...
And you have the perfect lunch...
Prices? Ehhh... not bad. For a large steak and mushroom + drink you pay about $9.
The place is small, but it's in a food court type area and there's outdoor seating.
They've also renevated the inside and now have a sushi chef as well.
I ordered a caterpillar roll and it was good - but not worth the $12.95 price they charged.

Kinda pricey for fast food teriyaki. $8.50 for a small teri bowl, a drink, and an eggroll. Their steak bowl is pretty good tho. The yakisoba plates are also kinda pricey for the amount they give you, but still, tastes good.

I ordered a large chicken teriyaki bowl. It came out to $6.
Not bad. It was large, filling, and it had an assortment of vegetables on the side. Nothing wrong with the chicken or the teriyaki sauce. The sauce wasn't too sweet, too salty, or too runny.
I will come back.
