this was fun and action packed. the dance floor is nice with high energy dancers.
i would say everyone is drunk at about 11pm, that's when my eyes start burning from the smoke.
the patio was a life saver, with nice attractive people.
i danced the nite away off Micheal Jackson tribute music.
i gotta say I'm not a party animal but i had a good time in sugarland that night.

The Service sucks butt, if you wanna sit forever and wait for an order that you will have to send back then knock yourself out !  I was there on a Sunday afternoon there were 10 ppl in the restaurant and they brought out my order but with no condiments.  I waited about 28 minutes for condiments!  (  you understand that 28 minutes I counted) Dont go unless your having a beautiful day and want it ruined.

"Average Sports Bar in Greater Houston, TX"

Okay - So maybe I have only been once.  And maybe it was a Monday.

But still.....This place lacked in many categories.
Being from Upstate NY, I am not used to smoking in "bars" anymore - so that was an immediate turnoff.   Of the fifty people in the place, 48 were smoking.  Myself not included.

The bartender made it very clear that she did not want to be there and that she was doing us a favor serving us 2 Coors light bottles within a three minute order window.

Karaoke night was like a Best Of Springer episode....
'Nuff said....

I could go on....

Ok, I'm pissed.  I have been to other Sam's Boats and they are ok, but this one sucks.

Somehow we got the waitress without a brain, and who is terrible at suggesting good things on the menu...lol

She got my beer order wrong, twice...  They didn't have very good beer selection to begin with, but when you order a Shiner, and they bring you a Bud Light, and then a Budweiser...  I'm sorry, but the color was all wrong, and do I look like I enjoy American piss beer...?  After she brought it to me, I told her is was wrong, and she argued with me that it was right...lol  Yes missy, Shiner is clear like a light beer, you are right.  I took it back to the bar myself and changed it right in front of her and showed her the difference.

She suggested the shrimp po-boy when asked.  I ordered before the beer came...  When the po-boy got there, it was on a freshly thawed out and crumbly long bun that fell into 4 pieces when I picked it up, and not because of the massive weight inside the bun, because there was none...  They put 6 small frozen fried shrimp on the bun on top of a scoop of coleslaw...  1 thing they did have is malt vinegar!!!  A must for po-boys.

I have had alot of po-boys in my time in Texas, and this is by far in the top 2 worst ever.  And the fries that I was told they are so famous for were cold, stale, and not famous tasting to me.

They did bring us some free crawfish to try since the season just started in an attempt to get us to order some.  I have gotten more meat out of the claws of some in March...  The tails were tiny at best, and looked like they had not been purged...

After all was said and done, my waitress must have sensed that she wasn't going to get tipped from our table, because she felt the need to tack on an amount she saw fit for a tip to our bill even though we had at most at any given time 6 people...

In summary, Sam's Boat's:
1.  waitress lowered my IQ a good 8 points.
2.  Po-Boy sucked
3.  tiny crawfish tails are not worth buying yet
4.  waitress charged me tip like we were a large party, and we weren't.
5.  drinks, all drinks, come in plastic cups.  Even shots...

I will not be returning, there are to many other places in Houston that have cheaper beer in glass glasses, much better po-boys, shrimp and crawfish, able wait staff, and a better atmosphere.  I know this will erk the die hard Sam's fans, but that is fine.  I would not like anyone that likes this Sam's Boat in any of my favorite places anyway for fear of contamination...lol  Harsh, but so true...

In the same area as Razzoo's and right next to Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse, our group came here for a beer to "help digest" our steaks.

And guess which beer we got???  Yes, the lovely Shiner Bock on tap, which I found out that the Shiner Bock bottled is being sold at BevMos in California.  After the waitress came and asked us how many glasses we'd need, I was surprised that they gave us plastic cups.  I don't know about you but glass != plastic....okay in non-geek speak... glass does not equal plastic.  I should have looked around to see if everyone else had plastic cause I sure don't think that that establishment would give everyone plastic cups to drink their beer.

The place was okay.  I don't think I could ever get used to the smoking in bars.  So nasty smelling.  The decor was like Razzoos, but there was a bomber jet (or something like that from WWII kind of jet) hanging on the ceiling.  It's a boat house I guess...

Overall I think this place would have been slamming in its haydays of summer as the locals can cool off with a "glass" of beer.  But tonight was raining and cold so we saw it's low days.

Not much of a bar person or drinker, but good company && good beer == great times (returns true) ...in non geek terms (good company and good bear equals great times)

OK its bar food, but it was darn good last night. had me a rib-eye special. Do all the bars get the same steaks from the same place for all their steak nights??? Bud lite was $1.50 /pop. It was aite in a pinch. Sides of mash taters and corn were skimpier than the waitress. She was dumb as spit but kinda cute. But back to the food, i was still hungry so I got me an oyster po' boy. IT WAS GOOD!!! Not too much breading. I snuck out before the karaoke started. Yeah I did see the Stafford po po there. A good time was had by all.The scenery wasn't to bad there either.  I might return if I'm out that way.

It's ok.  There is always a hand full of people there, never packed but never empty.  Nothing special to say about the place.  Sometimes they have live music, sometimes there is a DJ... I've been there a dozen times and it's always a ho-hum experience.  The important part to remember... Stafford PD is always there at the end of the night to catch you driving away drunk.
