"I'm giving this place 5 stars for the excellent food, this is truly meat lovers paradise. I had gone here for a birthday party with a friend…" read more »
Meat carvers came fast and furiously and since it's a new place and it's still not all packed so we were able to request what we specifically wanted. All of their beef is moist and well cooked. All of their chicken dishes were too salty and dry. The waiters and managers were very attentive. Their side dishes were all very good, especially the banana milanesa. Spent around $40 with tip. Bring your appetite. Obrigado

I was really rooting for this place to be amazing since its in my hood. But sorry to say, nothing stuck out as spectacular.
Beef Stroganoff was bland. I added salt and pepper (never had to do this b4) to make it better.
Cheese balls - REAL Goooood. But how can you srew up on them ever?
Meat - an Okay.
The service was great and I loved the interior, but the food didn't cut it for me. I'm probably never stepping foot here again.

I am very impressed with this churrascaria. This is an all you can eat Brazillian barbeque restaurant where limitless meats are served right to your table. The owners are entrepeneurs and food lovers that come from Brazil and they have opened up this beautiful restaurant in Encino. The quality of the meat was excellent and one of the best in churrascarias in the area. I could safely say it can compete with the famous Fogo de Chao on La Cienega.
I was invited on the opening night to come in for dinner and thought to myself, "what is going to set them apart?" The first thought that came into my head was that, they know what they are doing. I tasted most of their cuts of meats and I have to say that each one was very tender, juicy and tasty. My favorite was the garlic beef, one bite and you'll know what I mean. Sampa staffs some very good cooks and various knowledgeable Brazillian waiters. They charcoal-grill all their meats and have a wide selection of foods in the buffet. They also valet.
The people in Encino are very blessed for the addition of Sampa Grill.

Sampa Grill's lunchtime takeout was a hit at our office.
I haven't been to the Grill yet, or seen the menu, but I have dined in Brazil before.
My American pallet revelled in Sampa's tender and flavorful steak and chicken, unlike the tough, salty dried sun beef we ate frequently in Brazil, where I recommend the seafood.
Besides the meat, I have also enjoyed from Sampa sticky white rice, tabouli (I mix 'em together), field greens, and yummy little potato rolls.

I was SOOOO excited when we found out that there's a Brazilian BBQ restaurant close to our home and that got great review! So we went there to check it out. We were the only ones there at that time, but it was the hottest Sunday and only us didn't care about eating good meat for dinner! The place was very clean and the buffet with fresh food. They've even got the thick palmitos in their salad bar. I love those. The servers were there at all times making sure we had evrything we needed. The meat was tender and juicy. Not overcooked and fresh! I am so glad that I don't need to drive to Glendale or Beverly Hills for Brazilian BBQ anymore. They are cheaper than other places, too! Enjoy!!!

DudE!
heart this place now! =)
LUNCH IS THE BEST!!!! $15 Buffet. Includes salad bar, food bar, soup, etc... & then yumz MEAT! Nice Restaurant.
----------------------------------------
Food Suggestions: Different Pre-made salads, beef stroganoff, slice kobe beef, sausage, plantains, tri-tip, passion fruit mousse.
Environment: Nice End Looking Restaurant
Lunch: Not crowded, nor packed; great for business lunches
Dinner: No clue, probably have buffet but cost more?
Parking: I think in back?
Near: Across from National Bank Building (work), Hospital, Ralphs; by Quiznos, etc
Prices: Surprising cheap for Brazilian food. The cheapest Brazilian place I found has a bill of at least $30 per person (not buffet) =(
Man, I was hoping to be the first to review this restaurant...just a couple of weeks open and two reviews already! Anyway, this place is definitely worth raving about.
I've been to all the churrasco places in LA, and thus far, this place is the best in terms of food and value. Lunch (which I had) was a bargain at $14.95 a head, and dinner at $24.95 is definitely not pricey for a churrasco. The meats are excellent, the salad bar is above average, and the hot dishes are very good, too. The decor of the place is very nice, too - not tropical or anything that screams Brazil, but nice, subdued and cozy.
Service is excellent, although the place is not very crowded right now. I have to mention that the person greeting the people walking in is a bit on the talkative side, but he is nice anyway.
Simply put, the best churrasco around, great food, great prices. What more can we ask for.
it was a pleasant surprise that the food was quality for the price. the all you can eat meats were quite moist and seasoned well. they definitely offered a good variety. the salad bar was delightful.
the ambience is also pleasant. the staff was quite attentive and friendly. service was great
fogo de chao is yum-mo but $50 per person can get a bit pricey. i was pleased that i do not need to drive to beverly hills for all you can eat churrasco and pay less at the price of $24.95 per person at sampa grill. there's also take out available!
Finally a Brazilian BBQ place in the Valley! I am a big fan of churrasco, I've driven regularly to Pasadena and Long Beach to satisfy my cravings for a well roasted piece of picanha, and (not that I am proud of it) paid $50 for some decent churrasco, but now no more! We went to Sampa Grill last week, not too long after they opened. The place was a little quiet, which was fine by me as it meant I got the meat carvers coming by very often. The guy who greeted me at the door was very warm, as were all the people who served us. The salad bar was very good, and unlike the $50 a head place in La Cienega, they also have hot dishes, which were equally good. My wife, actually, really enjoyed their salad bar and hot dishes as she doesn't like red meat all that much. As for me, I was definitely there for the meat, and I was not disappointed. Their picanha was very good, as were all the meats I had there. In the middle of this feeding frenzy, I even ate their lamb, which I usually avoid.
They only serve beer and wine, but the Brazilian red we tried was very good. I only wish I remembered the name.
And I would definitely suggest that everyone try to restrain themselves and save some room for dessert. I tried this coconut flan, and was very happy with it. Not what I had imagined, but very, very good. And my wife had a passion fruit mousse, which was also very good.
I will say this is place is one of the better Brazilian BBQ places I have been to. A good salad bar (key in convincing my wife to come here), great meat, friendly staff, and an interesting selection of wines, and all for about $20 less then that certain Brazilian BBQ place on La Cienega. Heaven, my friends! Heaven! And all right here in the neighborhood!
