Came here a few times. Nice little place, not too cramped and service was good. I had the cappuccino, it is really good, and also tried the Mexican coffee, which is also good. They have a nice selection of desserts and cookies which were pretty good and fresh. It is hard to find good Italian pastries today, but these pretty much answer that.

they make good desserts and drinks, never really had the food there. Their coffees are good. Their poundcake is good as well, they used to have strawberries and whipped cream on it, now it's just powdered sugar, kinda sad.
the wild strawberry pie/tart is worth a try. The peanut butter cake is literally like eating a reese's peanut butter cup...a bit much but great if you like peanut butter cups.
Staff is friendly but they end up chatting sometimes and you have to flag them down which is annoying but it's a good place. not sure if its still open though.

On a late summer night, we walked into Sambuca.
The tiramisu and sangria were vonderful.
I had forgotten about until I found the business card I saved.
Time to go back.

Sambuca's is a great choice for meeting up with friends and having coffee and dessert. It's been a neighborhood favorite for years. On nice days you can always find people sitting outdoors, people watching and enjoying the weather.

My wife and I just spent Christmas in NYC and Little Italy was a great place to spend time. We were looking for a place for dessert and wine and stumbled into Sambuca. From the outside it doesnt look like much but the desserts and wine were great. The waitstaff is Italian and really made us remember our trip to Italy last fall. This is a must place for afterhour dessert and drinks!!

love this place. i haqve been coming for the past 10 years. they just re modeled the place looks great. everything is always fresh. the owner is always there to make sure the staff treat the customers right. the tiramisu is out of this world. the coffees are way better than starbucks. they have the orginal flavoed cappuccinos. over the past few years they have introuduced pizza/ panni/ & salads. let me tell you the food is to die for.
I love it here....no one speaks english or if they do, it's broken...they are native Italians here....ahhh, feels like home

In my opinion this place has the BEST tiramisu in the city!!! Their peanut butter mousse cake is pretty darn good too. The only problem is deciding which dessert to order on the menu and trying to decide if you want to come to Sambuca's or head towards the Chinatown Ice Cream Factory.
