We LOVED this place! Stopped in Walla Walla on our trip to Coeur d'Alene, and wanted a little snack in the late morning. We found this place on Yelp and it was close by, so we figured we would give it a try. What a great spot. Lots of gourmet bits - flavored salts, popcorns, teas, chocolates and a beautiful cheese closet full of very high-end cheeses. We shared an Italian cold cut sandwich - the meat was perfect, thinly sliced, on warm ciabatta bread. It was serviced with really, really good dijon mustard and house-made pickles and pickled tomatoes. We also spent some time in the cheese closet. Damon, the owner, was unbelievably generous with his time and shared some great cheeses with us. The only thing wrong with this place? It's too far from home!
P.S. If you're not from Walla Walla, take a walk across the street to see the Marcus Whitman Hotel, which opened in 1928. The lobby is gorgeous. -

First off, I'm vegan...what the heck am I doing reviewing a cheese shop, you say? Well they don't only sell cheese. They sell other pantry items, such as couscous, spices, rices, popcorn, olive oils etc. Some fancy stuff that I don't need.
I like their homemade ketchup. Very yummy! In fact, they have a few yummy things in their ready made case.
They have a huge olive selection. Which was great, except I didn't like what I tasted. I LOVE olives, and they just tasted off.
I have also purchased some couscous from them. Very good!
The low stars is mainly because I cannot believe how overpriced the items are. I realize it's a small specialty store. But it's pretty outrageous.
And the facebook marketing posts are out of control. Sorry guys, I hate being negative, but maybe the feedback is needed. -

So, we have been going to Salumiere for a while, but sporadically. We wanted to like the cheeses, but after trying several, just realized we are not expensive cheese eaters. However, after trying many salamis from all over, we've discovered the ones we like - and that really is the great thing about this shop. They give you samples, find out what you like and suggest others. Really cool in finding what suits your palate. But the really amazing and unexpected joy? The Ramen! We *love* this big bowl of amazing flavors and tastes. Hands down the best noodle soup in town. Try it and you will be impressed. Other cool stuff about the shop: the sandwiches are good, and if you're in the mood for a little bread, a little meat and a little cheese a la carte, get their box lunch. We grab a couple, go to the park and have a picnic. A really nice place with good customer service.

This place is very cool - we stopped in to get a lunch box for the next day, which comes on a small baguette/focaccia loaf with cheese and salami. the salami was SO GOOD but there wasn't a whole lot of it. It also came with some mustard and dried fruit, which made for a good sandwich later. You do have to assemble it yourself. I would have liked some mayo or something instead of mustard, and more salami! But it was very tasty. And not bad for $9.
The store is pretty small but there's lots of delicious stuff packed in there. We got some olives to go with our sandwiches, and they were GREAT. They also have big jugs of olive oil so you can bring in your own bottle and fill it up - they all sounded pretty delicious, I was tempted to get some and bring it back to Seattle with me :)
They have lots of gourmet-type magazines too, like Imbibe (drinks) and Culture (cheese). They have a vast selection of cheese and salamis, so if I'm back in Walla Walla I will definitely be hitting this place up again. -

Wow! Better than what you would find in San Francisco or New York. Amazing to have a place like this in Walla Walla. Impressive.

If your looking for a great place to take a break and refresh your palate after tasting wine, look no further. This boutique grocer/lunch counter has everything you need. From great homemade dishes like cornedbeef sandwiches or a ramen noodle bowl, to the best selection charcuterie and cheeses in town, this place delivers. The owner, Damon Burke, takes enormous pride in his store and whats in it.
Try his homemade Pickles. Their amazing! -

Stopped in yesterday for lunch for a break in our wine tour. We had a couple of tasty panninis. I had prosciutto and taleggio, my dining mate had mushroom and gruyere. And with a glass of the house red served on the veranda, it was a nice break.

This was above and beyond my favorite stop in Walla Walla!! It beat out the wineries hand down.
I walked in just to look around. I started talking with the staff and the next thing I know I am sampling and buying things I didn't know I wanted... it was like they were subliminally getting me to buy things through the power of meat.
The store is well stocked with a great selection of meats and cheese (make sure you go back to the cheese storage). They also make sandwiches that sounded amazing. I am kicking myself for not returning for lunch. The also have a good selection of items to make up picnics and plates for parties (oils, marinated things, breads, and any thing else that would go well with wine).
The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about the item in store and will get you to the meat or cheese you want. If it were not for them I would never have purchased the most amazing chocolate covered almonds I have ever had (you need to get these!).
This is a well thought out store, in a perfect setting. Before you hit the wine rooms or before you open the bottle for the evening, come here and get you food to go along with it. -

Every time that I am here, I lust after their "cheese humidor."
Sandwiches are good, wine selection is hit-and-miss. Good place to pick up a box to go on your way out of Walla Walla - you won't find chacuterie this good in most towns in the Palouse. Staff is friendly and helpful - nice spot.
Small but delicious menu, not much ambience so I've never been tempted to eat in. Convenient and generally pretty quick. -

This place has flyers at every single winery in Walla Walla, so we decided to try it out. The food is good for what you can find in the area. However the staff is incompetent. We sat outside waiting for 20 minutes and finally went inside to inquire about our order. They forgot to make it (we were the only ones in the restaurant). So we waited another 10 minutes for a plate of salami, cheese and bread.

The shop was lots of amazing treasures that change all the time. However, the homemade corned beef sandwich is the best in the U.S. and I've eaten them all over the place. The pricing is great for the quality offered

Outstanding local specialty store located next to about 3 tasting rooms in downtown Walla Walla (Spring Valley, Ash Hollow and Sleight of Hand). We wanted to pick up some meat and cheese to accompany a bottle of wine we were going to open that night. The staff was extremely helpful and allowed us to taste a couple different salamis we were interested in, then we moved into the Cheese Refrigerator...it was a little slice of heaven. We sampled a couple of cheeses and selected an incredible Montgomery cheddar. The cheese (as always) was on the pricey side, but so worth it. Make sure you stop here for some picnic and/or party supplies.

A truly fantastic selection of the finest meats and cheeses, plus other hard to find goodies like Sichuan peppercorns. The staff is extremely helpful and pass out samples freely. Don't miss the lunch box or the mole salami from Salumi in Seattle.

This place is the perfect special treat. They were so patient in giving us tastes of cheeses and salamis so that we could select the perfect ones to suit our taste. Add a fresh baguette and we were very happy.

Don't miss this shop! Located on 2nd near Main St., and they have so much to offer. I dare say probably the only olive oil bar in this county! Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Ask to see the cheese closet - its awesome!!!
