Mmm.  Mexican!  Salsa Fiesta is definitely a welcome addition to the Midtown dining scene! Between this and The Cheese Course, my lunch rotation has taken a turn...for the delicious!!

Reasonable prices, generous portions, fast and friendly service - what's not to like?!

I'm a fan of the guerrero taco, which comes loaded with this awesome mango relish and cilantroey-limey "salsa".  On my last visit, I opted for the carnitas crunchy corn taco shell, and it was mighty tasty.  I've also tried the Santa Fe burrito, which was just okay.  My friends have adored the tortilla soup and quesadillas, which are definitely on my list to try on future visits.

Service is very speedy and very friendly.  Definitely not expected from a so-called "fast-food" place!  I wouldn't be surprised to find myself here at least once a week!

I think we have a winner!! That is what I said when I bit into my carnida taco.

This is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and truly a great quickie Mexican experience. Their tag line is "urban Mexican grill" and that fits the theme and decor perfectly. Very Ikea-ish decor, super friendly staff, quick turn around time and perfectly delish Mexican food.

I got the taco platters (the one with FRESH mango salsa mmm). Since the platter comes with 3 tacos, i tried fish, steak and carnida. The carnida was so good, I am dreaming about it today. Fish was good and steak was pretty great. Guacamole was $3 which is a deal.

Great choice to fix your Mexican cravings.

Went for lunch. Excited to try this new Mexican restaurant. All the associates were very friendly welcoming us and handing us a menu. They have a few tables outside, and a small area with about eight tables inside.

This is a fast food concept, taco's are $3 each or you can choose a platter for $7.99 which came with three taco's your choice of meat and tortilla chips. They offer quesadilla's, salads, and burritos.

Hubby and I both ordered the taco platters. I had the carnita and he choose the ground meat both soft shell tortilla's. The food came out super fast. They did forget to bring my order of guacamole but fixed it right away when I asked for it.

Clean, friendly service, they did nothing with the decor, kind of bland and not much happening in form of artwork.

The taco's were good, a little hard to eat, very messy, oils dripping out of the tortilla with every bite. Not alot of flavor in the steak or ground beef. I kept pouring hot sauce to give it some uummp!!

The guacamole was good, not the best but I enjoyed it. $3 for a large, which comes in a small tortilla bowl.

For a quick lunch, it is worth stopping in but it did remind me of Lime or Baja Fresh. Same type of food. Bland and not a whole lot to speak about.

They have a small salsa bar near the front entrance, but I would highly skip it. The green salsa was delish but the regular salsa was awful.
It was chunks of tomatoes, no flavor other than sweetness and very thick. This was disappointing, gotta have good salsa.

Out of the hundreds of South Florida restaurants I could have chosen to be my first yelp, I chose this place!. Funny to me because  I'm not even a big fan of Mexican food....well that is until now!

If you ever waited in line just to indulge in a CHIPOLTE burrito, get ready to upgrade. The service at Salsa Fiesta is friendly as can be. They don't rush you to make your order, and all the food is FRESH!! Don't take my word for it. When you make an order and get distracted by the chopping of peppers and tomatoes behind the register you'll understand how fresh the food is.

I went to this place twice in two days because I had to reassure my taste buds that what they had just experienced was real.  I may have to go a third time because on my second visit I had the Durrango Burrito with fish and for the first time in a long while I had to close my eyes and make annoying chewing sounds as I ate. Even something so ordinary sounding as the beef taco is something to behold! I scored a lot of points taking  my girlfriend here! I will definitely be back.

Easy parking, clean, good prices, friendly service, hip vibe, the mango/passion fruit cheesecake, way more variety than Chipolte and better taste. All the salsa/sauces are incredibly fresh and tasty, the tortilla chips are light and addictive.  This has to be one the best additions to Biscayne Boulevard in a long time!!!

Dear Lime,

I'm sorry but i have found a new Burrito joint! You were great and you never let me down, but i must move on to a new hipper place. Salsa fiesta I know it just opened but still ver clean great service, and GREAT FOOD! All i have to say is "guerrero style" which is how u get your tacos, and burritos, (has chunks of mango in it). The only question is are they healthy? I know Lime and Moes, are gluten free and all that good stuff is salsa fiesta?

This is fast-food Mexican. So fast that by the time you sit down, most likely your order will be ready.

Literally.

Or so I thought when my fajita plate came out in 3 minutes, tops. So fast that I swore they're trying to break the Guinness Book of Records and that they'll do very well in a drive-thru business (hint hint).

Usually such speed would have me worried, since I rather have something cooked with care. But much to my pleasure, the steak at Salsa Fiesta is BETTER than at Lime, the only other fast-food Mexican in the area.

The service was also friendlier, the menu more creative and pan-latin inspired (tostones, black beans, etc). I also found the space to be pretty comfy, despite the stark modern looks.

That being said, I would imagine the quesadillas to be a better choice than the fajitas since relatively speaking, fajitas never do as well in a fast-food concept. The Tostones Fiestas were really good too. Just replacing the nachos with tostones was a clever move.

Short Order from the New Times did a good review, explaining how the chicken is marinated for 12 hours in an unique blend. link here: http://blogs.miaminewt...

Another plus here: Boylan's sodas. I love their ginger ale and it's really hard to find Boylan's ginger ale anywhere!

Lime on the other hand, judging from Natalia's review, may be better for fish tacos or maybe some chicken dish. But for everything else in the fast food Mexican department in the neighborhood, Salsa Fiesta is the place to be.

We went to Salsa Fiesta TWICE yesterday my husband liked it so much. We were driving past around 1pm the first time and decided to see what all the hype was about.

The restaurant was crowded, which is a good sign. When you walk in you are greeted by a friendly employee who hands you a menu. You then order at the register, they give you a number, and they bring your food to the table. This is just like the setup at Lime in midtown. Unlike Lime, the service is extremely friendly and amazingly fast despite large crowds. The prices are very reasonable, between $7 and $11 per entree, and the food tastes really fresh. I had a quesadilla ($8.25) and my husband had the Tostada Fuesta ($8.99). He was VERY excited, to say the least, to see tostones on his plate when the food arrived.

The quesadilla was good, but I think I like Lime's better. The tostada fiesta, however, was amazing. The cute little taco shell bowls for the pico de gallo salad and the sour cream/guacamole sides were a great touch. My favourite part of the tostada fiesta is the taquito, a fried taco with mildly spicy ground beef and peppers.

Our second trip was later that evening to bring home an order of Tostones Fiesta Supreme ($8.99) smothered tostones with cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and your choice of meat. We chose the carnitas because they were delicious on the Tostada Fiesta. This was amazing. We have had something similar to this in Nassau, however this version is by far the best we gave tried, and the carnitas definitely add to that. We also brought home an order of three taquitos ($2.50).

This is a great little fast food restaurant in the neighborhood, and my husband can't wait to bring his best friend to try the Mariachi Mix ($19.99) because I refuse to stuff myself that much ;)

I admit it, I am a MEXAHOLIC.  I made my way over to the midtown area specifically to try out Salsa Fiesta, and I must say I am very pleased.
The guacamole is super fresh, with chunks of avacado.  I tried the taco trio and was impressed by the freshness of the ingredients.  The mango chutney with red cabbage combo was awesome!
I will be heading back, and I don't have to break the bank for it either.

Salsa Fiesta opened up today just outside the Design District on 29th street and Biscayne...If I hadn't read an article on the Thrillist about it and just moseyed on in, I never would've known today was their first day in business.

The place was easy to find and had plenty of parking. Once you go inside, it has a cute, lofty-feel decor and everything was squeeky clean.

Now, for the good stuff. The food was exquisite. I am a huge fan of Lime down the street but I will say that this place is going to give them some serious competition.

I placed my order and they handed me a number card to take to my table. By the time I filled my soda, got napkins and a fork and walked to my table my food was there, NO LIE!

For my first time there, I took the safe route and ordered quesadillas with steak. The presentation was great, especially for a fast-food type place. I had the quesadillas, and then two corn bowls filled with romain lettuce; one was topped with guacamole and sour cream and the other with some of the best pico de gallo I've had in a long time. All were delicious!

My friend went with the tostones covered in black beans, cheese, meat, pico and sour cream. They looked divine so I had to taste it and they were delicious as well.

So, for my Miami downtowners- add this one to your lunch spot list, you won't regret it!!

P.S. You can find the menu at: http://www.thrillist.c...

I'd been waiting and waiting for this place to open. Does anyone notice how long it takes businesses to open? The city inspectors must be taking their sweet time. But I digress.

I tried Salsa Fiesta this past Friday night, and I believe it's a welcome addition to the options in the area. I couldn't resist ordering my soft tacos "guerrero" style, because I was intrigued by the thought of mango as an ingredient in a taco. I was pleasantly surprised. The mango added a flavorful twist to the meal.

Aside from that, though, everything was fresh (the pico de gallo was especially fresh and delicious), and the service was friendly and fast. The prices are great, too. I plan to return to sample something more run-of-the-mill, so I can compare it better to what other places offer.

I'm surprised this has gotten two five-star ratings on its first day - personally, i was a little disappointed.  I got the guacamole burrito in a wheat tortilla that was lukewarm at best and was stuffed with waaay to much rice and not enough guac, carnitas or other ingredients.  My boyfriend had the fish tacos and said the sour cream overwhelmed any taste the taco could offer.  The fish was overcooked and rubbery in texture.  THEN to top it off, the two salsas they offered were bland - and I mean, if you're going to put the word "salsa" in your name, you should offer more than two, and at least one should be delicious.

I'm giving it three stars because the service was good, the ambiance was clean and bright, and most of the ingredients tasted fresh.  I'll probably end up coming back here for an occasional lunch, but only when I'm not feeling picky.

Welcome home, Salsa Fiesta...welcome home. I skipped out on the lunch I brought from home in order to check out this brand new spot right in the middle of Biscayne Blvd and I wasn't disappointed.

The place is brand new and clean. The inside has a very industrial-chic feel to it with Spanglish sayings on the walls, menu and cups. I ordered the Tostones with ground beef. Since I am a junkie for tostones, this was only natural to me. In about 3 minutes, my order was done and at my table. They gave me about 6 big tostones smothered in guacamole, sour cream, salsa, black beans, cheese and ground beef (you can substitute for chicken, pork, fish or steak). My dish was heavenly. Next time, I will tell them to put the tostones on the side that way they don't become too soggy, but that didn't stop me for devouring my precious tostones. Crispy, hot and just salty enough for me to come back for seconds.

My friend had the steak quesadillas which i had a nibble of and they were delicious as well. The whole menu looks completely mouthwatering so I'm sure they will get to know me on a first name basis here eventually.

Only a couple of minutes away from my job downtown, with plenty of parking spaces available. If your tired of the long lines and sometimes overprices selections at Lime, I urge you to check this place out. You'll make it a staple of your daily lunch outing!

"Salsa Fiesta is open!" my coworker sings!
"You mean I don't have to eat Subway again?!" I sing back!
Salsa Fiesta is a welcome touch to the neighborhood on Biscayne. Despite the construction it was packed. People who work within walking distance were crowding the place. Greeted with a smile and a menu while you wait made choosing easier, which is necessary considering their delectable menu.
I had the Tostada Carntia. Which had a tostada with your choice of Carnitas, or ground beef, also black beans, guacamole, salsa, lettuce and sour cream. It was served in a cutely presented basket with Tostones, some sort of fried thing with sour cream and a pico de gallo salad. The food was good and average price, $11 for that and a soda. But the meal was filling without feeling greasy, and it was fresh.
The staff was awesome, practically our whole office was there, we all had some of the Mango Cheesecake....sooooo good.
Great new lunch spot. Maybe too good...I'd better make sure to hit the gym more often!

I thought this place was good but nothing more.  I asked for guacamole in my burrito and there was none to be found.  The fish taco was tasy enough - grilled, not fried.  I was not a fan of the red salsa.  Big chunks of tomatoes or peppers which I am not a fan of.  I prefer a little more chopped up.  Granted these are just my tastes, but isn't that what a review is?  The girl at the front was nice and smiley but she didn't speak a lick of english.  Literally not a single word.  I asked her a question and she kinda smiled.  This is frustrating to me.  I am a miami native and speak no spanish.  I still think english should be the first language spoken in most places in miami.  Overall the place is good, seemed quite fresh but i think they definitely could work out a few things from my perspective.
