Holy sh*t this is good pizza. I lived in NYC for a long period of time and have been searching high and low for a comparable pie - and I think I have finally found it. Aside from New York Pizza on Tremont St. in Boston (see my review re: The Tam) this has to be the closest thing north of NYC.
I am very traditional when it comes to pizza: NY style, cheese - nothing more. As previous reviewers stated, their large is LARGE. Like eating pizza for 3 days large. The cheese and crust are both great, and that is apparently a hard combination to sweep in these parts.
I always went in for pick-up so I don't have any reviews on delivery or dining in - but this is the kind of place where that really isn't necessary.
Oh, and try the garlic knots. You won't regret it. -

It's been a few months now and I've tried several more of Sal's and Mal's offerings.
Pizzas remain spectacular! I've tried pepperoni, sausage, hot peppers, sweet peppers and onions in different combos, and I can't recommend them highly enough.
Subs have been less consistent. Italian and chicken salad were excellent. The steak and cheese less so. The steak was dry and the cheese seemed to have disappeared during the cooking process. Not sure if I caught them on an off day. The rolls are very good, and the ingredients and toppings are fresh and tasty.
One night they threw in a complimentary order of garlic knots. Little fried dough knots, sitting in a garlic and Italian spice infused olive oil. They were amazing and have become a regular addition to my orders. Unfortunately their fried dough isn't made the same way, just little balls of dough with the usual cinnamon sugar. I suggested they use the dough knots instead, but haven't tried them since.
Still very happy with Sal's and Mal's!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Tried Sal's and Mal's due to yelp reviews, and was disappointed. The pizza left me upset at the fact that I wasted my once a week cheat night! The pizza was no different from the average not so good "house of pizza", literally the only difference was that size...these pizzas were large! Not much flavor, cheese was bland, not enough sauce- sauce was bland, and crust was OK. Average at best. Pizza lovers look elsewhere.

Review from Mike T.
North Attleborough, MA
Even after the drive from Foxboro Center to North Attleboro, this THIN CRUST pizza had more than enough structural integrity to support the extra cheese I requested. My girlfriend and I can't seem to find good thin crust pizza around here
(we were unjustifiably excited for Pizzeria Regina at the mall).
Sal's and Mal's have stepped in and, for me at least, filled that void. I like to think I can put down a substantial amount of pizza but after five slices of this large pie, I was down for the count. I guess this works out well so now she can have a few slices and, undoubtedly, agree with me that Sal AND Mal have got what we need. (but only on our cheat days).
I look forward to trying their other offerings! The only reason for the "less than 5-star review" is that, save for two tables and a few chairs, there is basically no sitting room if you are interested in eating in. -

I've never been into the place, we order for delivery, so I can't speak on the atmosphere inside the restaurant. With that being said, I have had quite a bit of experience with the menu.
The large pizzas are the biggest pizzas I have ever seen in my life, and not that expensive. The "small" is probably the size of a medium/large pizza at any of the chain pizza places. Garlic knots and fried dough are both unbelievable and I highly recommend them. The toppings are all of really good quality and I recommend piling them high.
The rest of the menu is outstanding as well. Even when we don't want pizza we order burgers and/or subs from Sal's and Mal's and have never been disappointed. There is one particular burger that is topped with bbq sauce and onion rings that is fantastic. The burgers come with fries and, like everything else at Sal's and Mal's, they are not cheap when it comes to quantity.
So combine great ingredients and generous portions and you have the best delivery pizza, and various other food, in the area. -

While I am super happy to have moved out of Foxboro (BORING) I will totally miss this pizza shop.
They make HUGE pizzas and the pricing isn't too bad but for me, it's ALL ABOUT the buffalo chicken pizza. Just order it with the blue cheese on the side because when they mix it into the sauce on the pizza they tend to put too much on. -

This place has the best pizza in the Foxboro area. While that is not saying a whole lot given the other options in the area, it is still good and worth getting delivery or takeout.

My wife is a pizza Goldilocks , this pizza is too thick, too thin, too much cheese, and on and on! She loves the pizza at Sals and Mals, it is just right! If you order a large, you had better be hungry, it is huge (18" I think). I have also gotten a Sub, and it was up to the standard, the roll was very Italian... delicious. The restaurant, isn't much, a couple of tables and mismatched chairs, and in the summer the place is hotter than hell! But in the winter it is toasty warm, fragrant, and very nice.

The pizza and subs are ok, but the biug problem with this place is that when you walk in the door, it feels as if you have just walked directly into their pizza oven. It is so hot, I just want to run away.

I love their pizza but I only ever seem to get take-out during the summer. It's hot outside and you know they are making everything fresh when you see the pizza. It's great and I would recommend it.

I have been in MA for 8 years and for no good reason never patroned this joint, I choose unwisely. This is the closest thing to NY style pizza anywhere in MA. I was so impressed when the tip of my slice bent over, a true sign of thin, NY style pizza. Ahhh thank you Sal & Mal.
