Michelle knows how to work with any style you throw at her; she is great with advice on what will work best for the shape of your face. You give her a description of what you want and you can let her run with it...sit back and enjoy with no worries as she takes care of you...I promise you'll love it! When it comes to color, I like to play with my hair and go back and forth on my choice between highlights and lowlights, solid color, etc...she makes sure to let me know when a process is going to take a few times so it doesn't damage my hair. She is reasonably priced, has a flexible schedule, and loves what she does. We chat about new products and such from shows she attends (which shows me she likes to keep current with what is going on in the industry).

Visited Salon Rouge yesterday because my stylist Silvia moved from Dustin David to Salon Rouge. I would follow her anywhere! My hair is somewhat challenging and she always works her magic and I leave looking great. I receive so many compliments and am always confident when i refer someone to Silvia and believe me this has not always been true. And to top it all there is probably not a nicer person in the world! I would highly recommend both Salon Rouge and of course my personal favorite hair stylist Silvia.

This place is nice, clean and trendy and on that deserves a few stars. But the real reason I gave this place 5 stars is because of Courtney! She's is amazing, she can make ugly people beautiful! Okay okay I kid! But she does wonders.
She is our family hair dresser and we followed her from the old place. She does a great job with everyones hair and is really reasonable. Guys, if you want a great hair cut you have to get Courtney to cut your hair. Plus she's pretty cool and her wit is sharp as a tack! I enjoy going to her because I get a great cut and it's fun. Her wit and the great conversations we have makes the hair cut go a lot faster. Sometimes, at the end of a great cut, I wish I had more hair so we can keep talking!! Also my kids really enjoy her patience and the great cut she gives them. -

Why I agreed to have a photographer at my wedding is a mystery to me. Why I am also paying a fortune for said photographer is also a mystery to me. I have nothing against photographers. However, my fiance and I are not photogenic, hate being in the spotlight, and are extremely awkward. We will soon have thousands of pictures to remind us of all those things.
Up until this morning, there might have been a tie between just what would have ruined my pictures. Would it have been my hair? Or that weird thing my left eye does when a camera is focused on me? Regardless, my hair was hideous. HIDEOUS.
Luckily, Christina came to the rescue. She took one look at my hair, gasped in shock, said some Hail Marys, and went to work. Two hours later I left with lustrous brown hair with deep red highlights and a cute cut. Now I can't blame my hair when the pictures look horrible. Because my hair will be super cute.
Though the money spent on the photographer was a huge waste for the above mentioned reasons, my money was well spent at Salon Rouge. Christina worked a miracle, and her services were worth every penny.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Words cannot express my admiration for Courtney. I first discovered Courtney at her old salon near the Pruneyard when I was living in San Jose. A friend with really thick and curly hair (like myself) said she would know how to tame my weave. After a few appointments, being mesmerized by her technique and awesome personality, I was sold. I gave up on trying to find a new place to get my haircut and made that salon my home.
Once I moved to San Francisco, I found ways to make it down to San Jose to visit her at her old salon. When she said she was moving down to Los Gatos, I immediately thought, "awesome... what am I going to do now?" Even though the drive is only 5-10 more miles, it makes the return drive home seem that much more daunting.
But let me tell you, folks: Courtney is as good as it gets. She knows how to cut my hair knowing how it will look in a few weeks (which is essential for people with fast growing hair- you can't just cut it so it looks cute tomorrow). She's laid back, easy-going and remembers the things you tell her. She always asks about my life happenings without having to bring anything up. She tells me when my ideas for a haircut will make me look toe-up... and if you just want to be surprised, she's great at doing whatever she wants that will ensure you come out of the store hotter than you were the moment you walked in.
She may be new to Salon Rouge, but she's now one of their greatest assets. -

Christina kindly did the test strip for me (months ago, I suck at updating). Sadly, it doesn't seem to be for me. But I love that she was honest with me and did research for me. She told me that it would be possible to do the process twice, but with my fine hair, she wouldn't advise it. She wasn't into just doing something I "thought" I wanted, taking my money, and leaving me with the consequences. Instead, she has come up with a new treatment that may work, but I've been dragging my feet on doing my own research. She has also offered to teach me how to blow out my hair, which I have also dragged my feet on. (I'm quite the procrastinator!)
She truly evaluates your hair and what you say you want. She then let's you know if it is possible or what you can realistically expect. Yay Christina!1 Previous Review: Show all »

I followed Samantha here from Capelli Salon and what a cute place it is! I love the french theme they have throughout the salon--it's very refined, relaxing and not too overbearing but still has some character.
Samantha did a great job as always!!! Can't wait to go back. -

I have been going to Mary for about 2 years now and she is excellent and extremely talented. She is always makes sure my hair looks great and eventhough I was late once she still took and squeezed me in. I'm so happy I found such a great caring and talented hair stylist. I will follow her anywhere she goes. The salon is also very beautiful and much more quant. My first visit to the salon was a little stressful because I was late due to work but she made me feel at ease and did actually make my day better.

5 stars for Courtney as she is the ONLY person I trust with my hair. The only one. From her days at Rage Salon, I could not help but follow her to Salon Rouge. OMG, I swear I get compliments every time I leave the salon. She's friendly, smart, & the BEST stylist I've ever had. Ever. So much so, that I think she's had to restrict adding new clientele. Major props for Courtney,..she's UHMAZING!

I just got my hair done today and I'll upload some pictures soon.
I HIGHLY recommend Melissa from this salon. Melissa is SO great! She gave me exactly what I wanted and MORE and I didn't even have a picture. I gave her a vague explanation of what I wanted and she confirmed and even gave me a more detailed explanation of her suggestions for that hair cut. I got a hair cut that was punky with a lot of layers that's still long but gets layered shorter as it goes up. Sound simple? She made it look like it was hard and cost a lot more than it did. I LOVE HER! Go here! -

Very cute salon! I love getting my hair done by Christina. She can take on my massive amounts of curly (sometimes frizzy) hair and have me walk out with soft silky gorgeous hair... She's awesome! I get compliments on my hair all the time! Best part is there is actually lots of parking and right across the street from DMV. Big plus in my books! Cute stylish group of ladies. I highly recommend;)

Great place! I have had the opportunity to work with Christina this past year.....after going to the same hairdresser for 18years! She is hip, friendly and just a top notch hairdresser! The location is great, plenty of parking, classy interior and of course, Christina :) I strongly recommend Salon Rouge to everyone who says my short, sassy hair is awesome! :-)

Courtney is good, maybe a little too good. She's really hard to get appointments with, so you have to book her months in advance, which can get tricky. Then when the appt comes around, if you can't make it, it is really hard getting another one. I had been going to her for such a long time that I thought she'd be a little more flexible, but unfortunately not, so I've had to start going elsewhere where appointments are a little easier to come by. In fact, if you want an appointment with her, I don't think she even accepts new clients. But if she accepts you, you are lucky, cuz this girl can cut and color!

I started with Mary when she was at Capelli and followed her to Salon Rouge. She does fabulous color - she first did a color with weave for me (to cover my grey ;-) ) and then recently a touch up that was perfect! And I love the layered cut she does for me! Salon Rouge is great - easy parking, clean, casual and comfortable. Thanks Mary - I'll be back!

Mary is amazing! I actually moved to San Diego 6 months ago & tried a new salon. After a horrible experience I just realized I need to fly to the bay area & just have Mary do my hair! No matter who does my hair no one will ever get my color perfect like Mary! I'm always getting compliments on my hair color & how natural it looks! Ha, if they only knew! I don't know what I would do without Mary!

LOVE Christina
I discovered her when she was working at a different salon - and fortunately she called me when she left ... and I have been a loyal fan ever since.
At her salon, you get creativity, great results - without the attitude and huge Los Gatos price tag. Her salon is warm and welcoming, she is talented and refreshing. Definitely recommend Salon Rouge ... and definitely recommend Christina. -

I followed Miss Courtney Weaver from Rage to Rouge! Courtney undoubtedly is a great asset to Rouge. Extremely professional, friendly, and courteous. She's so flexible with styling as well. She's always got brilliant ideas to try out. I trust her 100% and that says a lot! I used to be one of those types who brings a photograph of a style I wanted for each time I visited the stylist. I know that Courtney will make me look beautiful everytime I go to Rouge!
Salon Rouge itself is really neat. There is a lot of parking spaces in front. The interior of Rouge is really modern and clean. It's a calm place you can chill out at. Everyone whom I've talked to at Rouge has been very professional and courteous.
