After reading many reviews and speaking to locals, I went to Salon Nirvana. I scheduled an appointment for a haircut and highlights/lowlights. In addition, I scheduled appointments for a full set of acrylic nails and a Spa Pedicure. My hair was set to begin at 11:00, my nails at 2:00.
Liana was my stylist, and we discussed at length the cut I wanted. I came with no less than 7 photos of EXACTLY what I was looking for. More than once I said I wanted my hair to 'touch my shoulders' or 'skim my shoulders'. I asked for high contrast high and lowlights. While the high and lowlights she did are fine, they are hardly high contrast. But still, a technically proficient job. Then she began cutting. And cutting. And cutting. Needless to say, the loose and softly layered long bob I had requested and supplied multiple examples for did NOT happen.
Meanwhile.....Liana ran over our allotted appointment time. (Cutting away more hair than I asked, of course). So well after 2 p.m., I finally make it to the nail tech's table. This was thru no fault of my own. This tech is named Ashley, FYI. She was not much of a listener either. I requested a natural french manicure, not a glowing white tipped one. She looked at me like I was speaking another language. Weird - even WalMart offers a french manicure with natural white tips, but ok. I asked for a different color tip. I asked for oval nails. She didn't seem to hear or be interested. Had to remind her of my requested nail shape twice. After she glues the tips on, I finally speak up and request to use the bathroom. Remember: I arrived at the salon at 11, and it was 2:40. Of course once I get into the bathroom, I see what has become of my hair. Very upsetting.
I return to the nail table, and speak with Liana about what has happened to my hair. We spoke for 6 minutes and 8 seconds, my daughter recorded the whole thing on her phone. I sit to complete my nail appts., willing to see it through and am told "Sorry, out of time. Can't finish." Then Ashley has to ASK another tech how to remove the glued on tips! No way she was touching my nails or soaking them in anything. I was out.
So, while I got a technically proficient cut and color, it was NOT anywhere near what I asked for and showed pictures of. Nobody attempted to give me a break in price, nobody apologized. They did helpfully tell me to go home and wash and restyle my hair myself. Sorry, but if I spend over $100 at a salon, I kind of expect a finished result. And I left with crappy plastic tips glued to my fingers. What? And still, I paid. Needless to say, I was VERY UPSET. I cried for an hour when I got home.
Submitting pictures of what I asked for vs. what I got. You be the judge.
Please do yourselves a favor and AVOID SALON NIRVANA. Not sure who is writing such glowing reviews on Facebook and elsewhere. Look at my pictures and see for yourself. If I could give zero stars I would.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dorothee B.Shalimar, FL13466Jun 10, 2017
I had a gift certificate for this and enjoyed it immensely. Great service. Highly recommend. Very relaxed atmosphere.

I went in to get some pink high lights in my hair. Asked for them to be scattered through out hair. Came out with front forehead and two blobs on back of head. Liane was who I was set up with from Kelly the owner I believe. After hair was colored. I explained how I wanted it styled. She didn't listen to instructions . I finally got frustrated and asked for comb so I could get out of there. I tipped her because I'm a good person. I should have left this review sooner as look at the previous review about Lianne. I could have prevented what happened to that women's hair.

Deicy is a fantastic nail tech. I highly recommend her! I was a faithful client for many years. I live in Pennsylvania now, but I still try to make an appointment with her whenever I'm in town.
