I had gone to Salon Millenium for years until my stylist left. I have since followed her to Taylor Reese in Highland Park and am VERY happy there (Julia is the best colorist around!). I had always heard shady things about Salon Millenium and the owner, but who knows if any of it is true. What I do know is that they moved from their Elm St. location around the corner to a Lincoln Ave. location and opened a SUPER luxe all-white decor salon (I heard people complained that the brightness in the place actually caused headaches). Not a year after moving into the new location, the place flopped. I hear prices went up (probably to pay for the major high-end decor), employees were leaving left & right and clients got fed up. The place totally folded.
Marcus Olivia's salon. Awesome color and cuts here. The colorists always seem to talk to each other more than to the clients. It's sort of unpersonalable here, you get directed from station to station with little guidance. But they do do a fab job.
