I cut my hair exactly once a year, used a living social coupon, AND I made all this very clear to Shannon who cut my hair. Despite the fact that I was getting a deep discount and was not a good candidate for being a regular customer, she was really great!!!! I told her what I wanted and she followed that, and made some really good recommendations that I followed. If I were a regular hair customer kinda person, I would definitely make Salon Madrid my regular salon.
Oh, and the interior is really pretty and relaxing. -

I like to bounce around from hair place to hair place. Each one always wants to book the next appointment but I always tell them no and have to follow wherever the wind takes me.
This time it took me Salon Madrid with the painted lip and perfumed thigh of a Yelper free cut. Not crowded right after work and they were very friendly. I took them up on their offer for a glass of wine and sat back into the chair.
Like Tiffany R. & Richard V, Broderick was there and did a great job. He recommended a new style so I'm going to busy for the next couple months growing my hair. I'm real pleased with the cut and got several compliments that same day.
Take advantage of the yelp special and give it a try. -

Hair Cut. Hair Color. Hair Gloss. Hair Heaven. I may have actually skipped out of Salon Madrid today, I was so happy. I know I shamelessly mini-clapped when Lindsay showed me the finished 'do.
First time there and it was all you could ask for in a first date and more. Lindsay came up with the perfect rich, supple shade of warm brown. Then she glossed it, so it is fabulously shiny. And, to top it off, she shaped up the cut... erasing the sins of the past 'whaa-whaa' hair cut that had been my purgatory for sometime.
I am seriously as happy with my hair now as... an unmonitored fat kid at an ice cream buffet. Highly recommend it! -

Went here after searching around on Yelp. First off, nice job on being able to book appointments online after viewing all the available appointments. I always love it when businesses offer that option!
The salon is really pretty inside. Kind of a mediterranean/baroque decor.
I booked with Lynsey and had a really great experience. She is very careful about explaining to you the why and how of what she is going to do to your hair after taking time to understand what you want to do. I came in to get my hair lightened for the summer. I'm asian with thick, coarse hair, so I mentioned that in my appointment booking, b/c i know it's always harder to do asian hair.
I appreciated the fact that she kept a priority on not doing anything to affect the health of my hair, and also kept in mind that I am low maintenance in spending time doing my hair every day. Throughout the process, I felt like I understood what was going on and felt very comfortable in trusting her to do the right thing with my hair.
In the end, I had a fantastic color and great hair cut. It took a looong time(but I kind of knew it would). She also said the first visit is always the longest b/c she is getting to know you & your hair. I recommended her to my boyfriend b/c she cuts hair with a razor and he ended up very happy as well. Go check her out! -

This place is AMAZING!!! I just moved to Dallas and so I decided to rely on Yelp on looking for a salon, and I chose this place because of the previous reviews.
First of all, the place is absolutely beautiful! it has a warm Tuscan feel to it. Right away when I walked in I was offered something to drink, from wine to cucumber water (I got the cucumber water, it was sooo good, especially with this Texas heat).
Angelica was my stylist and she is FABULOUS!! You must request her! I loved how she told me her opinions and genuinely told me what would best suit me. She is also so nice and easy to chat with, so is everyone else in that salon. She dyed my hair and listened to my thoughts on what I wanted. She then gave me the most amazing haircut!! And of course, styled it perfectly afterward. My boyfriend absolutely loves my new hair and he can't get over how sexy it is!!
Salon Madrid is definitely the first and LAST salon I go to here in Dallas. This salon is it. Honestly, I've never given any location a 5-star rating. You must go and take your friends.
P.S. who can beat a COMPLIMENTARY haircut when you get your hair colored? -

I can never pass up a great deal, so when I saw the free haircut offer here, I had to make an appointment. I had no idea what to expect, but my expectations were somewhat high due to the good reviews here.
This salon is truly one of a kind. I was greeted by Jason as soon as I walked in, and he checked me right in. The interior is beautiful and serene, and Broderick was just finishing up with a client. I was promptly seated and he got to work on my hair.
I've always thought that only Asian people could figureout my fine, thin Asian hair - but I was wrong. Broderick really knows what he's doing - I walked out of the salon with volumnous, thick hair. He was meticulous, yet we were able to have a great conversation while he worked on my hair. I could tell he truly loves what he does, and even though it was a free hair cut, he did not treat me any differently.
I highly recommend this salon - let's put it this way... I've been a Yelp "lurker" for a long time, frequenting the website but never posting reviews. This visit compelled me to write my very first review of many to come - so you're missing out if you don't at least give it a try! -

Dang! I wanted to be the first to review this place!
BECAUSE - I wanted to let Dallas Yelp know that I have found my head of hair a wonderful place to visit.
This-Place-Is-Awesome. Um, get it??
I had my hair done by Lynsy. She is a bad ass. I have an unmanageable head of hair...naturally curly - but not a cute curl - a kinky curly. After she was done with my hair, I couldn't stop touching it. I ran my fingers through it and it felt like silk!!
The next day - I decided to just wear it curly, not straighten it like I usually do. I don't think I've ever received as many compliments on my hair as I did that day.
The salon has an ultra sheik pseudo-European feel. It's swanky. I felt a little out of place - at first. Then I met the really cool staff and felt totally comfortable. I don't think I've ever had a more meaningful discussion about my hair - EVER.
So, now I can rest easy that I've found a great place to get my hair did. -

They were very polite and nice but the hairdresser did the worst blow dry ever. The ambience, imitating Spain, is as cheesy as it can be.

I took advantage of the free haircut, but my guy Broderick is no longer there. The owner of the salon was super cool and did a great job on my makeup. Its a very upbeat place. Strongly recommended!

A small piece of heaven in the craziness of the Big D. My hair is fab! and I got my makeup done, too! Happy happy camper am I! The decor was beautiful, the music soothing, and the employees an absolute delight. I highly recommend this salon to anyone. Bravo, Salon Madrid, Bravo!
