I absolutely loved my experience with Salon b. Right from my initial phone call to make an appointment to paying for my service.. They were wonderful.
Salon b is on the second level of a business park/office building.. (I don't know what to call it).. on Howe Ave. When you walk in, there's nowhere to sit and lounge. The reception desk is there as well as shelves of Aveda products. Oh, did I mention it's an Aveda concept salon? (+points).
The receptionist was very helpful. You fill out an information form. You get a tour of the place. She also gives you a brown paper bag of Aveda info and samples.
My stylist was Avery.. a total doll. We consulted over my hair, he washed it, cut it, styled it, talked to me about the cut. I felt very informed and content.
I was completely pleased with my experience at Salon b and would recommend it to anyone.
P.S. They'll upkeep your bangs for free.
Ive been meaning to write a review for about a month. My Wife and I came here to get our hair done just before our wedding. Our stylist and Barber Amy, did a fantastic job and our wedding photos came out great. Not only was Amy's service great, but she had a great attitude even on a busy day. So, Thank you Amy!
When I first moved to Sacramento, I was never the type to go and get my hair done because I didn't see the point in paying someone to do something that I can do myself. Then I met Malerie and I saw what she did to my hair and I've been hooked ever since.
I've never received so many compliments on a haircut in my life. Even when my hair was long, the style, the technique, skill used in my hair was amazing.
I went here before to get my hair colored and Malerie knew just what I wanted, where I wanted and my hair didn't come out orange.
The staff is so easy to get along with, and they pay attention to their clients. The location is a bit difficult to get to because it's on a busy road. The building is not glamorous at all, but that's the beauty of it. The stylists are so talented that they don't need the hype of the trendy, hipster salon; they concentrate on what's important, which is HAIR and client satisfaction.
Give this place a shot.

I love Salon B! I've been going there since Olden Days, when they were still located next to Ettores on Howe.
Scot (one of the owners) cuts my hair, and he always does impeccable work. My hair is huge, thick and I'm sure, is more difficult/takes longer to style than most. Even though I can't afford to visit as often as I would like to, Scot (and the entire team) always make me feel like a valued client, take the time to chat and find out what my hair needs are at the moment.
One testament to Scot's amazing abilities is the fact that my hair always looks phenomenal for months after the cut. Yes, I said months. The man knows how to cut hair.

Salon b specializes in only the most current and advanced cut, color, extension, and treatments offered to the Beauty Industry. We provide precision hair cuts using Vidal Sassoon cutting technique, and American Board of Certified Haircolorists color formulation and technique.

Established in 2006
Salon b may be "new" to Sacramento, but our creators, Scot and Kathleen Clark have been doing hair in this city for over 25 years. Together, this dynamic couple built Salon Bravissimo!, and has moved on to creating a new brand in Salon b. All stylist are trained in house to be sure of consistancy in all services provided to our guests.
