Salon Amici

I went to Salon Amici to do my hair and makeup and Denise did an amazing job! It only took an hour to transform me into a bride! Denise listened to my wants and needs for my hair and make up and really put everything together so nicely. I also got my hair cut and colored a month before which was amazing- I will go back for highlights and cut from now on. I would absolutely recommend Salon Amici for all of your hair and make up needs!

Cute, small place. Nice staff. Kathy is the owner. Denise did my hair. Fills you in as you go regarding the process, checks in throughout to ensure you're happy with the length, and they only use very specific products, no Moroccan or argan oil, for example. Still following Covid protocols ie requiring masks, keeping up plastic barriers, and only allowing a certain number of people in the salon at a time. I'm pretty happy with my haircut- was charged $95 for wash, cut, and blowdry. Keep in mind they are currently cash only!

Denise proceeded to cut my hair without having properly discussed the haircut. She seemed to be only concerned with the desired length, disregarding the shape and my other preferences. Several times I had to ask her what she was doing. Some of the reviews mention that she is an expert in cutting wavy/curly hair, but she doesn't know the first thing about it. She made me look like a poodle. I don't think I've ever had such a poor haircut.

I'm so excited that I got a haircut by Denise. She's a magician, she fixed my hair that was completely ruined by my self-haircut during the pandemic.
I recommend this place, folks are really nice and professional.

The very best colorist and hair cuts on the planet! She is worth a flight to the east coast! I am worried this am about her and her salon with the flooding! I met her years ago and have traveled the country to say honestly most talented woman in her business ! I miss you and hope you and family are safe and ok!

Worst haircut I've had in 20 years. I asked for brown hair, I ended up with red. I asked for barely a trim and so much was cut off. I have a helmet haircut. It's terrible. It's anxiety inducing - it's that bad. The owner/receptionist seemed very nice but that's all I can say that is positive. Will never return.

The team at Salon Amici are great! Denise did an amazing job highlighting and styling my hair. The salon is small and gives a very homey feel and the staff are extremely nice.

Came in for a color correction and a trim and will definitely be back! The stylist took extra time to make sure that the result was exactly what we both expected and the price was beyond reasonable for the time, effort, and beautiful result (especially for Manhattan, great deal). The place is also small and the whole team was friendly, genuine, and fun to chat with so it was overall just exceptionally comfortable and personal

Went to see Denise as I needed a blow out before work (visiting from SF). she did a fantastic job and she was fast with my should length hair!

Great place. You can tell they have the real deal experience here. My hairstylist was very through and you can tell was a perfectionist with my cut and style. Before leaving, she stopped me to make some last second trims. Caring and expert level here.
