This is a solid Lebanese restaurant with an impressive list of mezzas. The value is great and the service is super friendly. The food was good but not something I would seek out again in a neighborhood with some much to try.

I love this place, Very friendly staff. We go there so much that when we walk through the door they have our drinks ready. Thursday is buffet night. Lots of choices. We always get the same thing. Felafel, hummus with meat, Lebanese sausage (yummy, yummy), lebenh dip, filo rolls, spinach pie, grape leaves, and for the main dish lamb chops. I can vouch that all of these dishes are excellent.
O.K. Now I am hungry!

OH LAWD! There is a boulder in my stomach....a giant falafel boulder...maybe a stuffed grape leaf or two....a lady finger as well?
Thursday nights...ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET. Im gonna tell you a little story...
We walked in...saw about 12-13 options...95% vegetarian...laying out at the buffet so without reading the sign we made towers of food on our plates...mmm zucchini balls, string beans...home fried potatoes (?!), hummus, etc. After we filled up on these items we got our coffee and dessert...."tonight we have ladies finger..watch out and make sure you count your fingers when your done!" OH! thanks for the tip!
After we scarf down the fingers of the lady persuasion the man comes out with a list on MAIN DISHES. we looked at each other and were like....no friggin way can we eat anymore...no way. 5 minutes later 2 plates of breaded eggplant come out that we hoover in a heartbeat. "Oh that was just dumb...im so full"
Time for some more lady fingers! after 2 more of those its time for the check. All of this food for 2 people with drinks $40!
CANNOT BEAT THAT!
Today im having a pregnant day. I feel big. A falafel community has set up shop in my stomach and I feel as though I never need to eat again. Was it worth it? YOU BETCHA.

This place is absolutely wonderful. The food is authentic and the atmosphere is very nice. Prices are extremely reasonable. One of my favorites in the neighborhood. I also used take-out to host a party and it was just as good as in house.
Holy Baba Ghanouj!
This place is great, especially when you take advantage of the early bird special from Mon-Thurs. My family comes here regularly, probably three to four times a month. For the best Syrian/Middle-Eastern cuisine in Brooklyn go to Sally and Georges. The decor is a little corny, coupled with what they consider to be Middle Eastern music (chanting and moaning is what it mostly sounds like to me). This place is the type of place that I love to eat at, not much to look at but delivers great food. The grape leaves are really tasty (almost as good as my grandmother used to make). The early bird special comes with a soup- I recommend the lentil, Mazza (Middle Eastern appetizers including tabouli, hummus, and baba ghanouj), and an entree (I recommend the grape leaves or shish tawook - chicken kabob). When you pay the bill, enjoy the Syrian sweets. Whether you're a health freak or just want some AUTHENTIC middle eastern cuisine and you're ever in Bay Ridge eat here. You won't be disappointed.
I can't say enough about this place! Go there, feast and don't forget to try Syrian beer, Almaza.

My partner and I were actually visiting Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island for the much touted Lantern Tour, when it was unexpectedly canceled in the midst due to inclement weather. I made an effort to find a few restaurants on SI (as I'm never in the borough to eat) but as it turns out, my partner asked that we go to Bay Ridge to visit "Tanoreen." Well, unfortunately the place was packed, so we wandered a block away to Sally & George's Place, a Lebanese restaurant.
I just loved the place; with friendly wait staff and delicious food, we were pleasantly surprised. We split a number of the salad apps: babaganoush, spinach pies, tomato salad, tabuleh and one main course, baked Kibbee with stuffed grape leaves. All the dishes were fresh and well spiced, and I have to say the stuffed grape leaves are some of the best I've ever had in NYC!
The prices are certainly reasonable. All this food cost us under $40 and although the portions aren't massive, there are comfortably sized with most app salads easily shared between two or three people.
If you find yourself in the area trying to get into the busy "Tanoreen," I highly recommend Sally & George's Place!
