I was the bride who had been planning her wedding since she was 5 years old. I knew color scheme, I had ideas and inspiration and I knew the moment I would start planning my wedding I would love it. Fast forward 30 years - and working 50-70 hours a week. I was overwhelmed and all of my ideas and obsession with planning turned into a cluster.
I reached out to Sally Steele who was recommended to me originally by a client and whom I have followed her reputation for a while.
I had a budget in mind and presented my needs to her. Holy cow does this woman know her way around planning. There isn't a hoighty toighty air about her but she is savvy, polished and on-top-of-her game. She is super organized and took control of what I needed. Design Inspiration, Event concept, vendor assistance. It was 2 months prior to my wedding when I hired her and both my fiancee and I were so clearly sure that she was THE BEST INVESTMENT of our entire wedding. She saved my hodge podge ideas from turning my wedding from mediocre to the one-wedding that people are still buzzing over. It was brilliantly executed, flawlessly designed and aesthetically GORGEOUS.
I felt completely confident in decisions that I could not make a choice on and put into her hands. She was attentive, she LISTENED, she took an occasionally constructive NO, she went over and beyond on multiple occasions.
If there was ever a chance to allocate more of your budget to make sure things were smooth, put-together and your complete piece of mind. Hire her, don't shop around too much - she is seriously brilliant.

In wedding planning, you either do it yourself or hire a wedding planner. Being the most non-traditional bride there could be, it was clear John and I needed help. If you're not sure which way to go, try Sally Steele's Do It Yourself DVD and Planning Kit to start...we liked it so much we asked Sally to plan our wedding. A referral from a winemaker friend whose wedding party was on the same flight as Sally, this has to be the best referral ever.
In addition to being one of the most established wedding and event specialists in the nation ( can you say Oscar goody bags and President of http://www.gbkproducti... ), a featured weddings planner on TLC's For Better or Worse, and a recent interview on KGO radio with Ron Owens, Sally has an amazingly relaxing and creative personality. Like a branding professional dialing in on a client, Sally tunes in to the couple and her creative resources to make magic out of nothing.
She's planned weddings and events of every size, all over the world. So whether you are having a local or foreign wedding...grab her DVD and planning kit and have a more confident start in your wedding planning! -

Our entire family including the bride and groom loved Sally Steele. She was extremely helpful in monitoring peoples' feelings and empathizing with the parents as well as the bridal couple. There are so many hidden and unplanned for details that she took care of at the rehearsal dinner(s),
the rehearsal, the bridesmaids' preparation, the actual wedding, and the reception. She had invaluable advice on vendors e.g. music, photography, and flowers. She made realistic schedules for the bridal party to follow--the following of which was not always an easy task. She was kind, supportive, and knowledgeable, and we received many lovely compliments about the warmth and beauty of the wedding which I believe was due in large part to her assistance and careful guidance. I recommend her without reservation. -

Sally Steele was my wedding planner for my daughter on July 25th in Sonoma. From the very beginning I felt very confident about her abilities as she is very clear about everything involved in a wedding. Answered all of my phone calls (and there were many) immediately.
She is very creative in her design and welcomed ours with a big heart.
Never did she impose herself as the "wedding planner". The day of went extremely smooth .... serving 160 people buffet style and she had it arranged so that I felt that everyone was eating dinner at the same time....the same as if it were served.... She went from handling all the beauty of the wedding to ousting two very unruly guests. So I not only had a beautiful wedding planner I had a built in commando...
Would use her again in a minute.....Oh!! the most important she was very vigil about the cost of the wedding...handled all invoices with me immediately so i know exactly what was going on at all times.....thank you Sally
