this place goes to show that every city has its health nuts. yes, even the likes of vernon, ca.  these nuts come out of the woodworks during their lunch break, or with whatever they are doing here, and fill this place to get the only healthy food in town.

with heaping mountainous salads lunched on by lean business patrons, all of us nuts find a sense of camaraderie as we eye eachother..you're a nut, i'm a nut, we are the rebels for the cause of healthy green living.

salads are big, around $8, i was like whoa, when i got my order and asked for a box..service was really good and fast. share with a friend.  also looks like they have great sandwiches...there is no ambiance, maybe a notch above subway, but still, just come for the healthy eats if you're in the neighborhood, and i promise, you (and your shrinking love handles) will thank me!

Great Lunch spot.  you can split a salad with someone or have it for dinner.  The portion are generous.  I like the chicken salad with celery, raisin and pineapple.  I've also had a shrimp salad.  It took awhile for the shrimp salad because they had to cook the shrimp.  The owner is very nice and was a cook for one of the presidents (forgot).

Solid Salads and fast service.

I'm not sure how many people have been to this area of town.  It is primarily the armpit of Los Angeles County.  Think City of Industry but...  armpit.   In this area it seems the only thing available is fat food..  yes... fat food.. not fast food..    but there's a bunch of that too..

So they have a bunch of great salads and a small selection of  sandwiches.  Can't go wrong with any of the 20 or so pre configured concoctions.  I enjoy the protein salads, which is basically a lot of spinahch.. They also have a good selection of baked potatos to make sure they fit in with the area.

This is also one of the few places in all of Vernon where you won't see just overweight people eating.  There actually are some pretty good looking people out here. They probably come from the fashion warehouses around here and not from Farmer John's across the street.

Custom made salads right before your eyes. I've been here several times, and always had a good experience until one day I ordered a Cobb Salad and they tossed it. That kinda miffed me. Otherwise, I really like this place. It's a bit small and could be cleaner. They also have custom baked potatoes, but I haven't tried one of those.

I am a salad lover therefore I love Salad Farm. It's kind of out in the boonies but it's a well-worth-it salad. You can either choose from their extensive list of salads they've put together OR make your own salad. I prefer making my own because you could make crazy salad concoctions you wouldn't otherwise try elsewhere. They've got every salad ingredient you could imagine- feta cheese, almonds, avocado, madarin oranges, taco meat, bell  peppers, raisins, oat bran, sunflower seeds, shrimp, wonton crisps, etc.etc., plus they've got 13 kinds of dressings to choose from. Everything's fresh and their portions are HUGE! I could make one order  into 2.5 meals. Other than salads, they also have a smaller menu of soups, baked potatoes, and panini grilled sandwiches in case you're not feelin' that salad.
