I have nothing to say, except that this place has some of the BEST SUSHI IN TAMPA. I am so, so picky when it comes to sushi, but this place blew me away. It is hidden in a plaza on Fowler, and I've never visited because I'm very fussy about random 'hole in the wall' restaurants. The sushi was great! Some of the best I've had in a long time. Theyre located just down the street from USF so it only makes sense for them to be affordable. They have great deals, I ate for under $15 - including the tip!
The restaurant is also very small but cozy and inviting. The staff is pleasant and Im just in love with this place!
I want to say that I agree with Jaski, in my last experience at Sake House service was sub-par. The waitress was quick to neglect the table, M.I.A. when I needed things like a refill or a fork for my meal (seriously not everyone knows how to use chopsticks). The waitress almost seemed to give annoyed glances when she would be getting our order. She took forever to bring our check in an almost empty restaurant. We had to get up and walk to the register so we could pay because waiting for her was going to take forever. I almost didn't tip her, but I felt bad because I really liked this place last time...so I left her a small tip and hope the next time I come back won't be like this.
The sushi was still good, but I just had to update my review to reflect this service issue.

While the sushi was good enough for me to return, the service wasn't. From the waitress to the sushi chef, I was very disappointed by the neglect. At times, the sushi chef would leave the bar - I have never witnessed that before... They have a variety of rolls to try, but watch out for the ones with mayo - there's a lot of it.
This review is slightly biased because I personally know the owner. The Sushi is fantastic. It is quick and well prepared. I've had some bad sushi in Tampa before but this place makes up for all of it. My recommendations, Volcano roll, and the Clearwater beach.
The atmosphere is very inviting and the seating is comfortable. The food presentation is on par. The price is just right too, not overly expensive.
Convenient to the USF area, its the best deal in town for sushi.
Also if you feeling like a change, walk over to CDB's the two restaurants are attached. The CDB Pizza is highly recommended.
