We had just noticed a Filipino flag breezing gently off the square in Linglestown and decided to take a closer look, here of course, it was a small, brand new Filipino / asian grocery store. It is located right at the intersection of mountain road and linglestown road, 2 houses away from the flagpole.

The owner was there and she warmly greeted my wife and I when we first went in. They have a wide variety of products available. cookies, crackers, jams, jellies, frozen meats, bean sprouts, cilantro, mint, some fresh fruit, coffee, kimchee, packets of noodles & soups, etc. Most everything is ready to go, take home stuff. They did had some microwaveable cakes that you could eat.

A lot of the stuff was your typical asian fare, however this focused mainly on filipino goods, there were some thai and chinese things there as well. I bought Tom Yum soup mix, some pancit mie noodles, dried chili peppers, and kimchee. There was a map of the philipines right when you walked in and a sign that said 'shoplifters will be tackled' There were business cards and flyers that advertised for real estate and DJ-ing. They also had a list where you could leave your name and number and what you wanted, and they would order it for you.

There was a coffee stand, with a few diff. flavors. Next to it there were all sorts of teas, coffees and flavor additions you could add to it, that were for sale. A lot of small cakes, rolls and pastries adorned the freezer door behind it. They looked really yummy, but the price tags were in the 4.00+ range. there also were frozen pitas, olives, chicken, you name it.

They also had a large selection of rice available, and had a rice-by-the-cup. There was jasmine, usa brand, thai mali, and milagrosa. She said most of it was new and that it had just arrived the prior day. We bought a bag of 'super lucky elephant brand' 25 lbs for 17.50.

Hours: Mon-Fri 4p-9p, sat 9a-9p, sun 10a-3p. They do not accept any credit cards yet, and the parking is in the front and limited.
