Neighborhood: International DistrictHurrah for $2 Vietnamese sandwiches. I could eat these everyday but I know I'll get sick of it. So I eat them in moderation. This place is open later than the other delis in the area which is good if you work late. However, the sandwiches can be salty. You can choose from meatball, bbq pork, chicken, ham, vegetarian, and some others. They also have snacks, dessert, and appetizers. I like it when the lady says "Jalapeno."

I remain a huge fan of Saigon Deli across Jackson, but it is fairly high-profile; their parking gets ridiculous a lot of the time and driving around the block is just trouble. This alternative is tastier (*gasp!*) and the ordering process goes smoothly with a short line and friendly counterpersons.
Their tasty mayo: tastier
Their rolls: insanely good
Their veggies: crunchier
And finally...their sandwiches are somewhat cheaper.
Also Try: the fresh lemonade. Not overly sweet.
NB - Like its similarly-named neighbor, no seating.

Can't say I'm a big fan of this particular joint. Before they raised their prices they at least had the distinction of being the cheapest in the neighborhood, but now they don't even have that. The BBQ pork is unexceptional and the chicken is downright nasty; shredded, dry and tasting almost exclusively of salt. Definitely my least favorite of the four Vietnamese delis near here.
So around 12th and Jackson, there is a super dense concentration of Vietnamese delis and about three of them are called Saigon Deli, my favorite is this one nestled in the strip mall on the corner between other restaurants and jewelry stores, The Saigon Deli..err.. The Saigon Vietnam Deli, yea, that's it. Like most of the delis in the area, the food is CHEAP, you can get a sammich for $2 and tons of different options (meat, seafood, and vegetarian dishes) at great prices. What sets this Saigon Deli apart is its flavor and the taste of their food. I think it speaks volumes at the cross section of clientle that walks in - you see people roll in from Bellevue in their Mercedes as well as homeless guys that wander in from the bus stop and spend their last couple bucks on a Saigon deli sandwich.

Many items are incredibly cheap & good. Ordered the Thit Nguoi (mixed deli meats) today. And I thought the sandwiches shops of Little Saigon, Westminster, CA beats them all. Quite filling & tasty. Also picked up some sweet green jelly coconut treats that looks fresh & yummy. Flat 3bucks total--major deal for a satisfying tummy.
Great for quick pickups only. No seating available for dining. Lunchtime had a fair crowd. But no waits since everyone swing in & out fast.
