Saigon Restaurant

Let me start off by saying that the entree's were very good. The pho broth was nice and flavorful. The appetizer spring roll was obviously made hours previously.

Everything else was sub par. We were served with very old sprouts, basil, cilantro, and lemon... which should have been lime, l we could tell these were days past being fresh.

There was an old lady, I am guessing the owner, was talking on the phone in the front room. She made several calls during our dinner, laughing and joking the entire time. It made the experience less than desired for sure.

Nice entrees but bad overall experience

Tried the #3 which is Vietnamese noodles with steak and meatballs and I highly recommend it as a hangover cure, oh and the fresh coconut helps that too lol.
My mom got the combination rice and it was delicious. For the appetizer, we shared the egg rolls and they're so perfectly crunchy and flavorful.

The ladies that work there are also super sweet! They gave us a little treat

The Server was super friendly. Interior was pretty outdated, old and dusty, but gave me a legit Asian restaurant vibe, so I was cool with it. The Bahn mi was soooooo good here. Good portion, and it was full of meat and fresh vege. The pork was flavorful and juicy. Pho was good too. I asked if I can get Pho with just tendons(leave out the rest of the meat), and they said we can only order what's on the menu. I clarified by saying just give me the combo Pho but leave out all other meat except for the tendon, and they still refused - which I thought was odd since I wasn't asking for extra tendon in place of the other meats. The Vietnamese crepe was pretty flavorless so wasn't impressed - huge portion though. The plates, utensils and table weren't that clean though. I will prolly return to get Bahn mi to-go and perhaps try some of their spring rolls.

Growing up, my best friend was Vietnamese and walking into Saigon reminded me so much of my childhood both in food and decor. The service was friendly and quick. The coffee was perfect, actually some of the best I've had; it was sweet and strong. The Bahn Mi was very delicious. The chicken was tender and moist with a good BBQ flavor. The pickled veggies were fresh, sweet, and crunchy. I appreciated the addition of tomato on the sandwich, which I don't see often. I am leaving off a star because, for my personal taste, the bun was a little too toasted and could have used more mayo. If you're looking for an inexpensive and authentic Vietnamese spot go to Saigon!

This place is so cute and cozy. The service was great. Our waitress was awesome. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. My boyfriend said she reminded him of his grandma, which is always a compliment We were even vibing to the music! The Bún bò Hue was pretty good. The pho was AMAZING!! Best I've had in a long time (we got the Special Beef Noodle). We'll definitely be back. Can't wait to try the Bánh Mì!

I had the combination bahn mi's this time and they were great even though they did skimp on the ingredients for the price!
Shrimp spring rolls were good as usual.
I would recommend this restaurant but expect to pay!

So ironically the tastes of half of these dises were interesting. I'm unsure if it's the traditional way that the dishes were made but I wasn't a fan of the Bo Kho or the Thit Nuong. However, the Mi Xao Gion, fried wings and especially the Banh Xeo were on point.

The Banh Xeo tasted like they used grounded uncooked rice which gives it a nice texture. I've never had another place in California that made them like this but it was a very welcomed taste!.

Mi Xao Gion tasted like it should and is very cripsy. Same with the wings.

My only complain is the service is a bit slow, the water was definately tap but there is only one server.

I'm shocked at how clean the place was. Would come back for the Banh Xeo

So, i hope this helps to either the owners or potential customers. The pho broth was cloudy and lukewarm, the bo kho was sugary and the banh mi was flavorless.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a little girl. The ladies at the front are always friendly and polite. The food is always amazing and prices are extremely reasonable. Anyone complaining about the atmosphere of the restaurant has probably never been to a true Vietnamese restaurant, lol! The older the decor, the better your food is going to taste. I hope this restaurant never closes.

Great service and phenomenal food. One of my favorite Vietnamese places in town! The spring rolls are so amazing!
