The most popular city course in Indy, Sahm is a nice course for the price range. Fair warning, though: this is the busiest course in town. It's a city course, and has a lot of first timers and novice golfers. So, if you're a more serious player, you may want to avoid this course, as it tends to backup during busy times. However, the middle of the day during the week is a great time to play the course.

Also featuring a large driving range with both mats and grass shot areas, Sahm's 18-hole, Castleton area course is a great place to get started in your golf career. They have a decent little clubhouse and pro shop, and lessons are available for those who wish to invest in swing improvement.

Walking is allowed, and it's pretty common to see people walking the course, though most still ride in carts. A relatively straight forward course, there is little water and not too many trees. Usually backs up on the weekends and during the twilight specials.
