The Sacramento Hash House Harriers is part of an international running group that started in the early 20th century (yeah, long time ago).  The Sacramento chapter has been around since the 70s/80s.  Our motto is, "We are a drinking club with a running problem."

So here is the premise...you have a starting point that is distributed on the website.  All Hashers gather at that point either bringing beer or bringing money for beer.  We drink a beer, send out one or two runners, called Hares, that lay a trail....now comes the fun part...you don't know where you will be running to.  You have to find trail in order to find the end and the beer.  

This a great group of slightly debaucherous social butterflies.  It isn't a kid friendly environment (unless you have money set aside for their therapy).  But it is a great group of folks that cut across all socioeconomic categories.  Read more about the group at www.sach3.com
