    Beer!

Their brews rock!  Sacsquatch is my current fav and their seasonal beers are always great but it makes me sad when they're gone...  I'm embarrassed to say this but before trying the beers here I would only drink Corona.

The food is awesome!  I love the honey pecan salmon and pork mole.  Their ribs are yummy too!

This is the sister brewpub to the Sacramento Brewing Company at Town & Country Center.   Personally, I think the food here surpasses the mother-restaurant.  Friendly, courteous staff.

(I really wish that this place was located closer to me instead of being on the far side of town!)

The food here is a good notch above the usual "pub grub".   I guess you could call it "California Cuisine-esque."  I'd call it gourmet.   It's presented attractively and the tastes are quite good.

The front bar area is a little on the cramped side.   I prefer the ambience in the main dining room and the banquet room.   Lots of Egyptian-themed decorations.

Of course, I've been to more special events here.  The local branch of my professional association regularly has lecture/dinner events here.

They have a banquet room that can be reserved for a special party for up to about 45.   Some of their themed meals are quite outstanding!   The last one that I attended had a German theme.  There were multiple courses that were paired with a different beer to enhance the flavor of the meal...much as wine gets paired with foods.

Keep this place in mind if you've got a special dinner event/party upcoming.  Check their home page for the menus available.

Oh, yeah...the beer is good, too.  The Scotch Ale and the Imperial Stout are my particular favorites.

On my last trip through the area I went here with a local friend (again - 3rd or 4th time for me)  for lunch. They had some sort of lunchtime beer special going, but I still had too much driving ahead to really appreciate the discount / incentive. The waitress was reasonably attractive but by the size of the crowd or lack of she shouldn't have been overworked.  I think the staff covers the bar, where we were,  and the dining room. We still had to look for her so my friend could give back a god-awful sandwich, was it pastrami or french dip, that was so tough it was inedible. The (pulled ?) pork sandwich was pretty good and we both ended up with that. I stuck with one of the dark beers, a temporary -Scottish one I think and was happy.  I  ordered well.
    I liked what I had...

So, I went there with the padres and brother to support a school fundraiser. I ordered the Maximum Burger, hold the bacon, mayo and guacomole.  (Who puts mayo on a burger????? Egad.)  Decent burger. Calamari appetizier was good though like every other calamari appetizer at every other restaurant. The rest of the fam ordered ribs. My bro said the ribs were very fatty so not his fave.  Service was good. Told the waitress I needed my food fast and it arrived fast. Oh, fries were blah. How can one create blah fries? Normally the world's perfect food.  The place was not packed....perhaps a sign.  Signs should be obeyed.

We love the walnut apple salad and the fish and chips are the best we've found in the Sac Valley.  My husband has chosen the Celtic Amber Ale for our home Kegerator.  The service is always good so we'll keep going back.

i love brunch and buffets so i extra-love brunch-buffets!!!!!!  my bf hates brunch (you can DEFINITELY tell who i eat out with all the time) so when i convinced him to take me out here one sunday morning i was pretty excited.  we entered and went through the room of people who weren't eating at the buffet.  i was thinking "what are these people doing?!  don't they know a buffet is going on in the back?!"  but that means more for me!  when we got back there, it was pretty dead but i came for the food, not to people watch.  their selection is EXTREMELY limited.  they had scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, enchiladas (weird?), ribs (extra weird?), some fruit and pastries.  yuppp, that pretty much sums it up.  they had someone making omlettes but he was BARELY there.  when i walked up there, he completely ignored me while talking to a coworker so i nonchalantly grabbed something and sat down.  our waitress for drinks was slow and nowhere to be found.  when we did find her, she was at the booth next to us chatting up her friends talking about "how fucked up she got last night".  i didn't even leave a tip.  not even a dollar!  i left full of eggs and bloated and gassy.
