Pascal P was right on. Very mediocre food. I'm no chef, but I know that I can throw down better than this. If you're going for a mafioso vibe inside, then you'll feel right at home, but other than that feeling, you best walk around Little Italy and find somewhere else to eat. Your stomach and taste buds will thank you.

I felt like I was back in Queens when I ate here. Hearty portions of old-style Italian food. Lots of heavily sauced dishes like eggplant parmigiana, manicotti, spaghetti and meatballs - mmmm...... I had the braciole, which was a little overcooked However, the gravy was unbelievable and I ate every tiny bit. Salads were pretty lame - Baltimore hasn't quite caught up to the fact that there are other lettuces in the sea. Decent wine list, and very strong cocktails - yay!
Service was very relaxed and professional. The restaurant itself seems to be pretty large, with several different dining rooms of all shapes and sizes. They offer valet parking which is a necessity.
Enjoy!

Friend, casual, mediocre Italian restaurant. The size is deceptive -- there is far more seating than you would expect, which probably explains the short wait for a table even during the tourist seasons.
As for the food, keep it simple. They do the basics well, but you'll likely walk away unimpressed with the fancier items on the menu.
I went here once and was not impressed. Even a mediocre cook could make equally good Italian food at home.
Sabatino's has a very friendly casual atmosphere. Showing up here in jeans will not make you feel under-dressed. Additionally the place is deceptively large which allows it to turn customers over at fairly constant rates. When other places in Little Italy have 30 minute to 1 hour wait times, Sabatino's might make you wait 5 minutes.
Sadly thats when the good things to say about the place end. When I go to an Italian restaurant I expect large portions. The portion size here is best described as average leaning towards the small end. The prices while not expensive are not cheap and given the portion size and quality are asking a bit much. The food itself is also best described as average with nothing distinguishing it from the multitude of other options in Little Italy.
So if you are in Little Italy and need place to eat right away with lines out the door at other restaurants, come to Sabatino's. If you planned ahead a bit go...well pretty much anywhere else.
