Don't get me wrong, I love Ruby Tuesday. They have great food, and until my experience at the one in Pentagon City today, good service.
We had to wait longer than usual to be seated, when there were clearly open tables. The seating hostess sneezed on her hands and then proceeded to (almost purposely) to touch all our stuff. I swear, EVERYTHING she did was in slow motion...it was weird. She was non-attentive, lethargic, and almost not alert. I wondered if she should even be there. I find it incredibly rude to come to work with a nasty cold, or whatever she had, especially if you work at a restaurant, and risk spreading it around. And she just HAD to touch our silverware and our menus. The nerve.
We were seated in the back of the restaurant and the place was a mess. The long table near us had french fries, crayons, and crumbs lying all over the floor. After about 5 minutes of no service - and no evidence of anyone coming over to serve us - we left. I will not be returning to this Ruby Tuesday. I would really like to contact them and complain about having a sick and rude hostess like that removed from their staff.
For Virginians and Washingtonians - go to the one in Tenleytown or in Rockville. Those are great branches. This one isn't. -

I agree wtih Brett wholeheartedly... My waiter was surly, did not come back to refill my drinks or check to see if everything was OK, it took 20 minutes to get the check (thank goodness I didn't have anywhere in particular to be afterwards), and the food was not very good. My chicken tenders were OK, but the fries were stale. Also, they somehow managed to have some of the fries undersalted and others oversalted-a remarkable, if hardly attractive accomplishment. :/

Average food. WORST SERVICE I have ever had. Waitress was rude and never came back after taking our order. Drinks were empty for the entire 30 minutes it took to get a hamburger. Then she still did not refill them.

Yup, this place is horrible. I've probably had over a thousand veggie burgers in my lifetime so far, and Ruby Tuesdays has THE WORST one EVER. I don't know if they made the patty themselves, but they ought to just buy it from someone else who already makes a good one. It was hard, dry, crusty and tasted nasty. Not even five slices of cheese and half an avocado could save the burger. Anyways, burger was painful. BUT their star comes from the amazing white cheddar mashed potatoes.. which is actually really really good. If you're ever forced to come here, try them!

Typical American food here of which nothing stands out on the menu. Convenient to get to but due to the crowds at the mall, you'll end up being inconvenienced. I would avoid it during lunch time. A lot of people spend their lunch breaks eating either here or at the nearby food court. We had a waiter that quit while on his shift but management made it up to us by giving us a free meal.

Just an FYI: Ruby Tuesday's at Fashion Centre Pentagon City is closed, and will become Harry's Tap Room. Now that's definitely a change. :)

The service was slow, and the salad bar was very short and very basic. The food was ok. We had to go past a long table of 4 people in a space of about 2 feet to get to our table. Our waitress seemed like she could have cared less. I would not eat at this Ruby Tuesday's again.

First let me make a correction to this listing, whoever typed the address was incorrect, Pentagon City Mall is located in Arlington VA and not "Alexandria" I know because I worked at the place for over a year. Anyway, I have eaten at Ruby Tuesdays and though it was ok, I feel they really grossed me out due to their lack of sanitation as one night we were there and the table behind us started screaming that there was a mouse running around under them on the floor. Another time we came to this place we ended up waiting for over 30min for our food, and it turns out our waiter had "bailed" on us as well as his boss though the manager was kind enough to not charge us for any of the food we got that was cold and replaced it. But the third straw was, when we tried to eat again and the place was still open yet the "host" didn't seem to want us there and told us they would be closing soon and that we should come back earlier next time. Common now, it says you stay open till midnight on a Friday and Saturday and it was about 11:30pm and was not 12 yet, so what gives? Since then we just didn't feel "welcome" enough to ever go back...so much for east coast hospitality.

Everytime (not by choice) I wind up here with friends, it's always a disappointment. The place looks very dirty, the employees are preoccupied and look bored. When you are asking for a table, they act like they are doing you a favor. You try to be nice to the waiters/waitresses but their is no hope...! LOL yea folks, it's that bad for me, the food sucks, the service sucks and the place looks so dirty. Their is dust, dirt, tables are sticky, nothing looks like it was every wiped down. I wouldn't ever eat here again!!! I perfer the Ruby Tuesday in Potomac Mills or by Hoffman's movie theatre. Beware of this location!!!
