This place is great.  It's hard to find just a regular bakery that's not attached to a supermarket...and that's just wrong.  Royal Bakery has bagels, sandwiches, breads, cakes, pies, cookies - all baked onsite.  The eclairs and napoleans are awesome.  Most important, the baked goods are fresh!  I would be 300 pounds if I worked there.  The staff is friendly and efficient, too.
I wish they had more seating, you are sort of forced to take out, but then again, I'd probably just re-visit the cookie case if I was there.  Also, the parking is a little tight, but I usually find a spot.

I stepped into Royal Bagel Bakery on a Sunday afternoon on a friend's suggestion. I had no idea I'd be entering a bakery much like the ones you'd find in NYC! The atmosphere was loud; the line was out the door. The staff were extremely equipped at dealing with such a boisterous crowd...and with a smile too!

As I neared the display case, I noticed everything was fresh. The baskets were being filled regularly with steaming hot bagels. They even had real bialys.

As I moved past the deli case, I spied the pastries filling the next case. Black & white cookies, sprinkle cookies, napoleans of all types...I was in awe.

After paying for some goods, I raced to my car for a taste on my way home. I was not disappointed in the least. The bagel was soft and doughy on the inside, but crusty on the outside. The cookies were just like I used to get in NJ.

I highly recommend Royal Bakery!

Royal Bagel bakery has consistently delicious and creative bagels, baked goods, and deli sandwiches. They also do an outstanding job of satisfying the snobby NY bagel purist in me (I mean, come on, blueberry bagels, honey? Ech, so goyisha) which is no small feat!

In a world of terribly customer service, Royal Bagel Bakery sets a new standard. Their staff is super friendly, always hustling about, and never too busy for a smile or a random chat.  They make you feel like family and seem sincerely concerned in meeting your needs.

The place is clean, clean, super clean!  Sit down and eat there or take your food on the road; it's a quick jump off of 270.

The only problem, the only reason that I don't go there daily, is that their butter and rainbow cookies are too damn good and my willpower? Yeah, not so much.

Fan-flippin'-tastic!  The pastries are awesome- what they can do with chocolate!  Seriously- try the chocolate cigar or the black-out cake, you'll swoon.  Sandwiches that satisfy all my cravings- the East Side is amazing.  Fresh bagels made just the way they should be- never had better.  Hard rolls that would impress anyone from NY/NJ.  Sfogliatelle- out of this world.  I can't say enough good things about this place.  Just get in line, keep moving, and forget about your diet for a little bit- feed your soul!
