Route Fore Golf Center Ltd
2 reviews for Route Fore Golf Center Ltd
Rte Fore Golf has a lot going for it. It's got a pretty decent pro shop staffed by sorta friendly young people. It's got grass tees. It's got mat tees protected by bays (and the bays are heated for winter practice). It has ample free parking. It has good cheap eats directly on the premises with open-air seating, patio style. But above all else, it has location.
You see, I work just down Rte. 4 (get the pun?) from this driving range, so I can hit balls during lunch or right after work. It is a beautiful thing.
Price-wise, a small bucket will cost you $5.50 and a large $8.50. Seems in line with other ranges I have patronized ...
Big, major 5 star rating for Rte. Fore Golf. Love it.
I really like the range here. I have never been during the summer or when they are using grass, so I have only used the heated stalls. They are very warm and I like them a heck of a lot better than the stalls at the Northway 8 driving range. The prices are reasonable and they have a pretty well stocked pro shop, along with friendly staff.
But their club repair department is awful. I have had two problems with their work. First I brought in a club for a very simple reshafting. Somehow they were unable to pull the shaft and completely melted the driver head. But they gave me a completely brand new version of the same club, more than making up for their mistake. The other problem came when they told me they could not pull a shaft from a Callaway driver for me. I understand why they couldn't as it is slightly more advanced than a normal shaft pull, and I'm glad they didn't try (after the first disaster), but it isn't that tough for a well stocked golf shop.
