Rouge is the only place I will go to get a haircut. I have extremely thick, course, wavy/curly hair and I can always get a wonderful cut from Amberly at Rouge. I've been going to her for a couple years and I cannot recommend anyone more than I recommend her!
Rouge is a must try for anyone with "hard to handle" hair, if you want a new look or some incredible color - they are great at literally everything! Plus, the salon is super cute and the owner, Emily, is very nice and has an adorable little doggie that greats you at the door wearing a puffy doggie vest in the winter. Brightens my days!Listed in: Beautify Me!

Rouge is a cute little salon that fits right in with the St. Paul vibe, but the haircuts that come out of there are 100% unique unto themselves. The owner, and head stylist, Emily, has been cutting my hair for a few years now (starting back when she owned Curl Up N Dye in Uptown). Before Emily, I did not care about hair. I figured the mediocre cuts that I'd gotten all my life were as good as it would get for me as one of us numerous kind-of-curly-kind-of-not people. But Emily worked her magic and completely revitalized my look! Her intuition was spot on for what I was looking for (based on my weak description and a few photos) and ever since she's been able to keep my cut looking fresh and interesting. I couldn't recommend this place more.

i love rouge urban salon! i see zena there, and she could not be better. she does amazing things with my super thick, wavy hair and the color has never been better in all my years. i recommend rouge highly!!
