We make the pilgrimage several times a week from our office building and its sub-par cafe, to the office building across the street and Rossi's.
Why do we do it? Cause the food is fresh and good. Sunny has specials pretty regularly, and he's always willing to make you something different if you want it. We've even had him cater a few of our company meetings!
If you work in the area I would definitely swing by and check it out. Its worth the extra 5 minutes :)
I either get the bagel breakfast sandwich, pasta/bean salad, curry, or deli sandwiches- all made with quality ingredients. The owner sells the curry and salads to local Wholefoods.
He is very pleasant and willing to take special requests.
I have never actually eaten inside the cafe as my work would usually cater lunches from here whenever we met in Foster City.
All I know is that with the extra bacon, avocado, specialty cheeses I'd add onto my sandwich, I know it was not cheap. Decent sandwich but if you've got the time head over to Bonne Sante for a truly spectacular sandwich experience.
Good food, lovely people. Great deli food. When all I'm eating is a Turkey and Swiss on whole wheat, I can really taste the quality of the turkey. I'll even drive over from my bldg (we have a deli where I work... NOT as good!) to get a sandwich there.
My guilty pleasure - the BROWNIES! mmmmm. Super yummy!
This place recently changed ownership and the quality has remained the same. Nice breakfast and lunch options and only across the road from where I work! The price is OK, the service is generally fast. As always, call it in first if you're in a rush.
I did find the old owner quite odd, he gave me a very negative vibe and this seemed to only be with me. I tipped, I knew what I wanted, I didn't waste their time but goddamn did it used to make it uncomfortable when ordering!
