    I like Ross for three reasons.  1. He's cool.  2. He's a good instructor. 3. He's passionate about golf.

I've taken lessons from him both at Harding and down in Carmel.  Both lessons were great, although obviously the Carmel environment was more fun.  I learned a lot when he uses video.  He will often record video with commentary and email it to you at the end of a round.

    Great local golf pro.

    Very friendly and knowledgeable.

His online booking tools and appointment reminders are a nice touch as well.

A bit pricey, but come on, you just spent $500 on that driver. Might as well learn how to use it!

Ross has reasonable group rates for beginning golfers at an awesome location, Harding Park, and is very observant yet patient with golfers of all skill levels.

Sign up for a group or individual lesson and you will be on your way to improving your game.

he's the head pro at harding park.  he was actually recommended to me by another pro that i took a lesson from at presidio who was moving out of the area - so clearly he's well respected among his peers.

try taking a lesson in his indoor/hi-tech Marin facility.  it's pretty crazy all the technology that is getting applied to golf these days.  but even the usual lessons at the driving range at harding are amazing.  as expensive as the sport is to play, you might as well invest to improve or else you'll be a 40 handicap for life!

I had the day planned out in my mind. It went something like this: Me sitting on the side, relaxing and getting some sun while the bf gets his lesson from the Pro. Little did I know, I was actually going to get a lesson myself. Like a trooper I showed up in my polo shirt, cotton pants and mentally prepared to fail. He set me up with my own set of clubs and took me around and showed me some of the techniques. Ross worked with the bf on his swing while I was in the corner chipping away. There was a moment where I turned and looked around the area where I was standing. I had taken up at least 5-6 patches of grass and like a true and honest civilian, tried to cover them up again with the same patches. A few balls landed in the bushes. I felt bad but I was not about to go and retrieve them and let Ross see. No siree. Never let your instructor down by fishing balls out of bushes or parking lots.

Ross is the most patient and positive man I've ever met. He was so friendly, easy to work with and was very positive. Getting a lesson from him was like getting a boost of self confidence for a sport I never quite understood. Golf is hard but Ross made it very easy by showing you the necessary skills to help you get into it.

I saw just Ross again after a long hiatus from practicing my swings. I have to say that having someone critique and point out  the little things really really helps!! I can't imagine trying to attempt this sport without guidance from a pro. Plus, Ross is super friendly and easy to talk to.

I have been seeing Ross once a month for approximately 5 months and I don't know where to start.  There are so many words to describe him, i.e., friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, patient, etc. etc.  However, I think I can sum it up by saying this, "I sucked before I saw Ross and now I suck a lot less."

    Great teacher.

Great instructor.  I'd been playing for a while, but was having trouble making consistent good ball contact.  In one hour lesson, he was able to make some changes to my grip and setup that resulted in much better ball striking.  In effect, I went from "picking" the ball  off the fairway to compressing it.  All without even needing to change anything in my swing.

If you're a golfer, then you need a coach, and Ross is great!

Great instructor.  I have golfed for years off and on, but never really knew what I was doing.  He helped me gain confidence and an understanding of the mechanics of the swing.  Will be taking more.
