I love Rosine's. I was first introduced to this place in 2007 and i've been loving it ever since.

When i go eat inside the restaurant i order the 1/2 chicken with mashed potatoes and rice. Their food is always super good...and their garlic spread is sooo good...i love how they give you complimentary pita bread as well....

All in all their food is super fresh and their food is well priced. YUMMMERZ!

When i get their takeout they have some big orders that they can fill...i think we get like the whole chicken combo...which comes with 2 large family size sides...and i think we get ratatouille and mashed potatoes...

I've brought a number of people to this place and they all love it too.

I am not sure about the other items on the menu...but i know the CHICKEN is delicious...especially since i'm not one that usually orders chicken entrees.

Best Mediterranean place in YL / Anaheim Hills. It can get buy at dinner but worth the wait. The lamb is very juicy and seasoned just right, not overbearing. I have never had any skewer meats that were not cooked perfectly. Appetizers do not disappoint, and the tabbouleh is always fresh.

It's best to go there when you have some time to spend and want to relax over an hour or more. If you are in a hurry, you might not enjoy it as much as if you don't care if the server has not been back for 10 minutes. I find it refreshing not to be interrupted by a server every 5 minutes asking how this is it if I want more of that. I think they get it.

I finally got the chance to check this place out.  I ordered 1/2 rotisserie chicken that comes with 2 sides for $9.95,  I chose hummus and garlic mashed potatoes.  They give you a hefty amount of chicken! It was juicy and fall off the bone tender.  The garlic sauce was very addicting and I slathered every bite of my chicken with this glorious SAUUCEE.   The garlic potatoes were amazing, creamy and tasty! Order it!  I couldn't finish this entree, so you should split this with someone and order an appetizer.

The food here is fantastic. My fiancee and I's absolute favorite place. There are few places in my opinion that can successfully make (chicken) white meat moist, and Rosine's is definitely one of them. SO moist and delicious....actually, everything is delicious. I love the garlic sauce, the rice pilaf, the ratatouille (excuse me if I spelled that wrong) and...okay....I love pretty much everything. Haven't had a bad thing yet. So much flavor. Prices are great too. Trust me, as a recent college grad, I am a professional cheap-ass. My fiancee and I generally get out of there on a hungry day at around $25. (Yeah, I'm totally seriously. That reasonable.)

Try it. Seriously. You won't regret it.

Great roto chicken by a great family owned restaurant.  Amazing garlic sauce.  Ratatouille is flavorful.  Taboule is good.  Rice is buttery good.  Cheap too.  Id pay twice what they charge.

Man... I don't know how to rate Rosine's.
I'm gunna go two stars, only because I have had better Mediterranean food, and each time I have been I've tried to give it a chance...
The waitresses there have been extremely rude every time I have visited (which has been at least 4 or 5 times now).
I find everything at Rosine's to be extremely bland and WAY too garlic-y.
Another thing I did not appreciate was the fact that the last time I visited, when me and my party were finished with our meal, the waitress took the leftover pita, and threw it back into the basket with all the other "fresh" pita. GROSS!!!
I don't enjoy Rosine's and won't be going back. But, everyone at my work rants and raves about this place... so ya never know.
Maybe it just doesn't fancy my tastebuds like other Mediterranean restaurants do.

I'm glad I am a woman who once danced naked in the Mediterranean Sea at midnight -- Mercedes McCambridge

There is a single thread of attitude, a single direction of flow, that joins our present time to its early burgeoning in Mediterranean civilization -- Arthur Erickson

Yelp says I never reviewed Rosine's...hmmm, how could that be?  I've ate here for years...they catered two of my birthday parties...and I have always enjoyed their soulful take on Mediterranean cuisine combined with a killer wine list.

Rosine's of course is based in the generic environs of Anaheim Hills and used to be widely known as the best in the area although new eateries (Rosuke Sushi perhaps) may lay claim to that somewhat dubious honor now.  Their pricing, and frankly service, is far superior at dinner or when they cater.  At lunch they never have enough staff although what staff they do have generally tries very hard.

At dinner, while they are known for their chicken, I still absolutely adore their filet kabob.  A high quality piece of meat that for around $20.00 blows most overpriced steakhouse fare away.  Lunch pricing, as noted above and by Julie L. is problematic.  I had the Luleh kabob the other day and, while very good, debatable if worth $15.50 especially given the painfully slow service.

Their wine list is outstanding with dozens of interesting choices priced under $50.00.  In fact, it may be my favorite wine list in Orange County for it's depth, selection and fair pricing.  Furthermore, Corkage is only $12.50, and they serve their wine perfectly.  I cannot stand restaurants that serve reds too warm or in cheap glasses.  Rosine's does neither.

Mediterranean food is one of my favorite cuisines because of the feelings it engenders from my trips in that area and the warmth and friendliness of it's people.
I may not be dancing in the Mediterranean Sea at midnight but I can at least visit via the food..and via the soul and heart put into places like Rosine's, which after all these years, still remains one of my favorite places to dine at.

I could smear their garlic paste on just about anything. I crave it. Their rotisserie chicken is outstanding: moist, flavorful, and only enhanced by the garlic paste. Mashed potatoes could use a bit more flavor; so I just stir in some garlic paste! Their green beans are perfection and almost all meals come with pita bread which work well to scoop out more garlic paste. As often as we get Rosine's takeout for a healthy, quick meal, the true treat is when we dine in and order the kabob plate for two. One of the best meals anywhere! Three types of meats, three types of sauces. The platter also comes with rice pilaf, mashers and veggies. The portions were perfect so we didn't even have to fight over bites!  The perfect meal for two!

Like Mr. Ina Garten, John loves all kinds of chicken but especially rotisserie chicken.  His appreciation is generous and he'll happily take a $5 one from Costco or Albertson's but he also appreciates a freshly done one as well.  So it was a bit of a surprise that it took us this long to get to Rosine's which actually has a rotisserie spit in its front window, spinning its juicy birds for all the world to see.

Their chicken is a great deal.  For $12, you get a half chicken and two sides.  John chose the mashed potatoes and the hummus.  The chicken was well marinated and flavorful but a tad dry.  When eaten with the potent garlic sauce (ala Zankou), it was hard to find much fault.

Wanting something smaller, I opted for the Sirloin Shwarma and a side of ratatouille.  I really wanted a traditional shwarma and figured a version with sirloin could only be an improvement.  The "schwarma" was actually strips of deeply sauced and sauteed sirloin.  I like strips of steak as much as the next person but it was so texturally different from shwarma.  I forgave easily because I was blown away by the ratatouille, a delicious stew of tomatoes, squash, eggplant, and bell pepper.  The vegetables exploded with flavor.

It was really pleasant at Rosine's.  The live guitar music and the still full dining room at 10 at night really contributed to a warm, neighborhood feel.  I look forward to making Rosine's a frequent neighborhood destination of my own.

Seriously, I'm shocked BEYOND belief by the glowing reviews of this place! I'm just going to list some of the CONS because that pretty much summarizes my experience here...

    1) It's ridiculously expensive! My bf and I spent $50 on lunch between the two of us, which is totally unheard of for a lunch!

    2) We weren't even offered complimentary pita bread, which is typically standard for a Mediterranean restaurant. We later asked for some on the side, but were afraid we were going to get charged for it. Luckily, we didn't...but on that note, I noticed their pita bread is a brand that I've seen in supermarkets before! Ha...so much for "homemade"...

    3) Their meat boreg, which is what we got for an appetizer to share, is ridiculously small! For $9, we only got 4 tiny pies that were literally 2 bites each. For that price, we would have expected to get more or at least some yogurt on the side. In this case, we got neither.

    4) The lamb kabobs plate are pretty meager. 2 of the 3 kabobs just had lamb on them and 1 of the kabobs had lots of veggies, but the sticks were rather short, so it really wasn't a lot of food. Also, what happened to putting veggies AND lamb on the same skewer, so you flavor that meat with the veggie taste?

    5) Their ratatouille tastes like someone threw ragu on some veggies. Can we get some spaghetti with that?!

    6) The lamb gyro tasted extra shredded...almost like shredded lettuce! I was slightly disgusted by this. Also, it was mixed with a ton of tomatoes, purpled pickles, and some other randomness. I was shocked - I thought lamb gyro was ALWAYS good, but this was probably the worst one I've ever, EVER had.

    7) A lot of Yelpers bragged about the garlic mashed potatoes, but they were extra thick. It was almost as if they didn't mash the potatoes up at all because I still had a lot of huge pieces. I don't know about you, but I think ANYONE could make better ones than these - even a novice chef!

    8) They keep their wine, jars and cans right next to the bathroom. I know they don't have a huge amount of space in their building, but um, really? I totally lost my appetite after I saw that. Isn't that a health issue of some sort? Or at the very least, questionable?

The meat boreg and the rice pilaf were probably their best items, but that still isn't enough to EVER bring me back here. I really prefer Olive Pit over this place...and considering it's always crowded, it looks like most Yelpers do too! :)

    Yummy food and friendly people.

I came here with my friends Sarah, Jordan, and Jon even though I was already full from eating lunch somewhere else. I ordered the hummus just so I could have something to munch on while they were eating their gyros. It was sooo good! I could not stop grabbing more of their hot, pillowy pita bread and dipping it into their heavenly hummus. I'm drooling just thinking about it.

Also, the waiter I had was so nice! My boyfriend, Jon ordered this yogurt drink because it sounded interesting. To say the least, it was "unique" tasting and not exactly his cup of tea. When we asked for the check, our waiter told us that he would take the drink off our bill. Even though we insisted on being charged for it, he still refused to charge us. How nice!

For sure coming back to try their rotisserie chicken and have more of that bomb dot com hummus.

Food.   Good.   but if you are a hungry man you want to go to a place which serves bigger portions.
Wine.  Rip off.  We bought the $10 a glass suggested red and were disappointed.  I struggled to get it down, flat, bodyless, watery wine.  (We are not wine snobs, my bottles at home are rarely more than $8.)
Music.  An awesome musician was playing traditional Spanish music.  We gave him $5 he was so good.
Atmosphere. Ok. Nice clean fresh looking place.

They get two stars two because the food was just good, not over the top awesome.  The pitas seemed the wholesome choice standard - nothing special.  I eat Wholesome pitas everyday, I wanted something different!  And the wine was so bad and over priced we left feeling a bit ripped off.  We decided not to go back.

This place is wonderful! It is small inside but that doesn't matter. They have a wonderful selection of wine, first off. Likewise for beer. Their food is amazing.

My gf and I always order garlic spread to start off with. Dip some pitas in it and it is garlic heaven. We could finish two orders of their garlic spread. Walnut caviar is sooooo amazing. I never thought i would have liked it, because of the name... There is no fish in it! Stupid me! Their ratatouille is bomb also.

I have tried their pita sandwiches, their chicken, and their beef shawourma. They are known for their rotisserie chicken. And you won't be disappointed if you order it. Pita sandwiches were good also, one comes with their chicken inside it. I believe they have a veggie one as well. My favorite was the beef shawaourma. Tender strips of beef with peeled tomatoes on top and wheat pilav. I was in heaven! I want to try the falafel next time. I have heard it is very good.

The service the last time I went was a little slow. I swear there was one waitress too 8 tables. That was the only down side. I love this place though. It is wonderful and close by!

Came here because I just moved back to my hometown in the Hills... Anaheim Hills that is... and Rosine's caught my eye for sure cuz I freakn love Mediterranean Food, the place got 4.5 stars on yelp, anddddd its literally down the street.

Stopped by with a gf around 3:30-4??? odd time to eat, yes, but we just couldn't wait for dinner anymore. I wanted to talk sh*t cuz at first because they started us off with some warm pita bread..... and that's it. Just pita bread. We were so damn hungry that we were eating away until there was no more saliva in our mouths. Ugh. If you're friends with "MaryJ" and u come here... and the first thing in your mouth is pita bread... good luck trying to swallow that pita bread with your side of cottonmouth. ;)

BUTTTTTTTT...... of course, after ordering the pita pockets, (I got the mushroom with chicken and a side of hummus, and my friend got the tenderloin with potatoes), we were like holy cow this is pretty damn bombbbb! I cant even describe.. just go and try it. Oh, and order a pink lemonade... it has this floral taste, so its deliciously different. :)

Ordered take-out today for lunch. We got a roasted chicken and kabob. The chicken was over cooked, dry and bland. The beef kabob tasted like it had been reheated and was cold in the middle. All this for $18/person without drinks. None of the food tasted fresh or authentic. Maybe it's better when you dine-in?

This place is absolutely amazing, worthy of 5stars for service, decor, ambiance and most importantly their foods.  It's  a small, very simple decor with wine showcase on the wall.
The must have here are their rotisserie  chicken combo which comes with their famous garlic dip and 2sides.   You can get garlic dip as a side which I went for cuz I loved that dip!
Our whole table all ordered half rotisserie chicken cuz it's that good! As for their sides everything is very and yummy especially their salads.  We had their mash pototoes which I thought wasn't all that great.  Their pasta salad is plain and so is the rice.  their cucumber yogurt was very good too.  Overall I'm really impressed with this restaurant, love love love!!!

I've lived in Anaheim Hills for over 20 years and have only been here a handful of times.  Why?  I simply didn't feel the food was 5 or even 4 stars worthy.  I can't even remember when the last time I was here.  But when a friend asked if we wanted to go out to lunch, we decided to give it another try because she's never been here and she mentioned it had great reviews.  Off we went.

I was a little worried that during peak lunch hour, it'd be busy.  But upon entering, the restaurant was only 1/3 occupied.  We were seated fairly quickly and got our menus.  Since it was lunch time, the 3 of us were all looking for 'Lunch Specials'.  Well, there wasn't any like I thought I remembered.  Apparently the lunch menu is basically the same as dinner but with smaller portion and cheaper prices.  I say 'cheaper' but it's not cheap.

We were served a basket of pita bread after we placed our orders.  Interesting.............  there was no sauce to go with it.  We had to ask for some condiments.  The server said we could either have vinegar/oil or butter.  We chose former.  However, the pita bread was flat, not at all fluffy like the ones I could get at Wholesome Choice.  I had 1 small wedge cut and that was all I could eat despite the fact that I was hungry.

I had the Greek Salad http://www.yelp.com/bi... which I quite enjoyed.  Very fresh and the dressing was just right.  I got the large entree size and I was not completely full after I was done eating it.

My friend ordered the Luleh Kabob http://www.yelp.com/bi... which was Armenian Hamburger with Minced Lamb and Roasted Veggies.  She added a side of Greek Salad for an extra charge.  She said the flavor was good but also thought the portion was too small.

My fiance had The Greek Pita with Chicken (extra charge) http://www.yelp.com/bi....  You could barely see the chicken.  For $2 extra, they give you about 2 pieces in each 1/2 pocket.  Not really worth it.  The Roasted Potato that came with it was overly dry and lacked flavor.  It also looked like it was mashed instead of roasted.  After a couple of bites, he gave it up.  He said he felt like he was eating someone's scraps.

While the service was friendly, it was extremely slow considering there were only about 4 other tables with customers.  it took at least 20 minutes for our food to arrive.  For what we ordered, it really shouldn't have taken that long.  So unless you don't have a limit on your lunch hour, you may want to think twice about coming here for a quick lunch.

I came here the other day with a co-worker. Great food! I ordered the lunch special, white chicken, with pasta salad, and rice. They are very generous with their portions and the service is awesome! The chicken isn't too dry and is well seasoned. The pasta salad is a great choice on a hot day...was a bit oily but still really good! The rice...a little different than what I am use to having at Mediterranean places...but still had a lot of flavor.

My co worker had mashed potatoes with her plate...those looked good! I am anxious to try their hummus!

Over the years, I have dined at a number of Mediterranean restaurants, & Rosine's is the real deal!

The restaurant is small, but the service, ambiance, & food definitely make up for it.  I always am wanting to try different dishes on the menu, but usually end up getting the same entree each time because it is seriously THAT good. The half rotisserie chicken with wheat orzo & a side salad.

The chicken is so tender, the skin is crispy & seasoned wonderfully. For those who love garlic, & I mean LOVE garlic, once you try their special garlic sauce (with the chicken), no other place will compare!  I personally hate it when I have major garlic breath, but trust me, it is worth every bite.

To perfectly compliment the entree, the wheat orzo is a must! The texture combined with the buttery flavor enhances the overall meal to the max. The pieces of pickled radishes that come with the dish, plus the side salad, add a nice combination of acidity & freshness to the dish.  I highly recommend this restaurant.

Am I in Anaheim Hills or Beruit? Best Lebanese cuisine west of Lebanon! Authentic, excellent quality, and a pleasant yet cozy environment.

First off I Love Humus! And Rosine's has the best Humus and Pita Bread I've had in So Cal! A meal unto itself!

Second, I'm a fanatic about Rottiserie Chicken and Rosine's is some of the best I've tasted. Very sweet flavor and perfectly  prepared. I mean this positively that the flavor of this bird is similar to Boston Market, which I Love.

Finally, try their Garlic Butter and you will forever be craving it!

    Enjoy!

So good!  First time here, came on a friend's recommendation and sure glad I did.  The place is pretty small, that was the only down side because I was starving & didn't want to wait.  First we ordered a "pizza" appetizer (don't recall the proper name), it was very flavorful & came with hummus.  I ordered the rotisserie chicken, it was very moist and flavorful with crisp skin and not greasy which is such a plus!!!  The bean salad I ordered as a side dish was phenomenal!  Kidney beans, garbonzo beans, mushrooms, green onions, cilantro and a lemony vinaigrette.  It was like nothing I ever tasted before.  My BF got the chicken kabob plate which he liked very much.

Will for sure come back here again just not as often as I'd like because it's a little out of the way for me.

Rosines is one of my favorite places to eat! I LOVE their Chicken Kabob. It comes with a Veggie Kabob, you can choose a side (I get salad), and pita bread. Their portions are big. All the workers here are really nice and you can tell its a great place to eat since there's always a line/wait.

Rosine's is still one of the best places in Anaheim Hills. I have eaten here a few times recently, picked up lunch for a manager meeting at work and attended a dinner party.

The service is great, everybody who works here is super friendly. The food is amazing, I have recently taken to the grape leaves and shawarma.

They also have a wonderful selection of wines.

Had an early dinner at Rosnie's on Sunday and WOOOOW!  The food was amazing!  My son had the Grilled Lamb Chops and he said they were AWESOME and juicy and I had the Tenderloin Skewer which was DELICIOUS and juicy as well!  It is pricey but you get what you pay for.  The place is very nice and the service was excellent.  We will definitely go back.

I came to Rosines on a caj date with a friend one night and was pretty pumped having heard tons of great things about her. As a veggie, Mediterranean food presents tons of tasty options. Though, having just gone to the gym, I opted for the healthiest possible choice--veggie kebabs with a side of baba ghanouj.

The service was above average, our glasses were never empty and our food was served promptly. My plate was around $11 bucks and included three veggie kebabs comprised of the standard kebab veggies: onions, mushrooms, bell peppers etc. Alongside, was a heaping serving of baba ghanouj and a white bean (in tomato sauce) mix. We were served warm bread as we sat down as well, which I was able to use to eat my baba ghanouj.

The food was standard, but probably because I went with the most standard menu item. Next time I will have to go big, and order something more elaborate. Plus I can never resist a fried tasty falafel ball! I'll be back Rosine, get those balls in the fryer.

You know how some places you can't help but see through rose-colored glasses, for whatever arbitrary reason?  You know you love it but when put on the spot to describe WHY, you actually have to search for words to make an articulate, convincing case for yourself?  That's Rosine's for me.

It's just that every single time that I have been here, I have had an absolutely over-the-top amazing evening.  The food is very good, but that alone doesn't exactly explain it.  The place is warm and cozy, the service is meticulous and I just relax when I settle into my seat.  I even remember spending a few nice hours with my boyfriend's mother here before she went completely psycho on me a few months later.  Like I said, there's something inexplicable going on at Rosine's :)

This place always seems to be full, or close, but haven't had to wait for a table for long.

Food is good, rotisserie chicken can be a little dry. Don't try the garlic sauce if you want a faint garlic flavor... or if you have anywhere to be afterwards. Anything else I've tried has been 4/5... just something missing that would make it a 5/5. A little more flavor? Slightly more moist?

Warm pita is served to you pretty quickly, however, if you order sides, they take quite a bit. Arrive shortly before the meal or with the meal itself.

Pricing can be a little more on high side, especially for the portions (like kebabs, etc).

Their mocha is very tasty! As are their desserts.

Still definitely a place to try.
