My bf likes bringing me here. He tells me its cheap and the food is good. He's only half right. The price is like every other diner prices. They don't have a $3 dollar breakfast. Most of the stuff is like $7 and up. Everytime I come here i order the same thing. The belgian waffle w/ strawberries, 2 piece of bacon and eggs over hard. The waffle is enormous and delicious. I never fiinish the waffle. The bacon is crispy and my eggs always come out the way i ordered.
oooh...they also serve indian food here too!! -

Wanted to go out to breakfast with DH and remembered seeing this place. Wish I hadn't.
My biscuits and gravy could have doubled for bricks and mortar, respectively - both were thick, heavy, flavorless and gummy.
I also ordered a chicken fried hamburger patty on the side, which they interpreted as "smash an unbreaded hamburger to 1/8" thickness and cook until hard." I almost think they nuked a frozen patty, the texture was so bad.
I'm not exaggerating, they had no idea what they were doing. I ate exactly one bite of everything and thought I was going to die. Never going back. -

The managers are complete jerks!!! And that's saying it mildly! What restaurant gives a 4 year old HOT syrup??? Don't come here!!!
I wish I didn't have to give any stars for this review to post! FYI: there was one very sweet waitress. -

Rosie.. oh rosie. This place is kinda weird and creepy. First of all, Indian food at denny's cousin's restaurant? I was feeling adventurous though so I went for an Indian dish.. the curry was yummy but the side of rice was too cold and turning hard due to how not fresh it was. I didn't expect much from the Indian food since, i mean..come on, they are serving it at this place! Our waiter was not very nice either.. I mean he just came up to the table, got his note pad and pen ready and just stood there without saying a word just waiting for us to start ordering. ;| great! Also, while we were there, some drug addict decided it was appropriate to yell to at the top of her lungs about how horrible the world is, I agree with her but totally uncalled for. Actually it was pretty funny cause she made a big scene and everyone was like.. OMG what's going on? and I just sat there enjoying my oh so fresh food (sarcasm). Anyway.. of the indian food was pricey not worth the pay since the quality was not great. I'd pay 5 bucks not 10! Rosie, with all due respect I will never visit again. Hmph.

Went here for breakfast-- restaurant was clean (didn't see any bugs) and customers already seated appeared to be enjoying their meal.
My daughter had the eggs Benedict & hash browns & I went scrambled eggs & apple pancakes. We also ordered chai tea (which was really good) and a side of 3 samosas.
The food was good & the portions were quite ample to the point that we had the remaining 2 samosas packed to go.
Definitely w/go back. -

The Queen of Reseda and I took my dear old Gran to Rosie's for breakfast. Rosie's is a great retro diner that serves up a rib sticking breakfast.
I got my usually fix of Eggs Benedict and they were really good. They give you three eggs! It's almost too much. Eggs cooked perfectly, nice thick slices of ham under said eggs. Very good hash browns. http://www.yelp.com/bi...
My Gran (91 bless her heart) ordered a Belgian waffle and she was in breakfast heaven! Our waitress was on the job. She refilled my coffee so many times, I was MAJORLY HYPED UP ON JOE WHEN WE LEFT! Coffee makes me nervous when I drink it. Mmm.
The restaurant is run by an Indian family and they were all working hard to keep everyone happy. Good restaurant!Listed in: Eggs Benedict Obsession

this place is semi sketch. very cheap food, however it has been in the paper a few times for their cleanliness and lets just say it wasnt a good article.
the food is cheap and for the price i guess you get what you pay for. basically the same as your typical Denny's, nothing special. also not in the best area, gross motel surrounding it. -

The only place I've ever been to where you can get either chicken strips with mashed potatoes or Indian curry and flatbread! I was hesitant to try the selection of Indian food in a place that felt much like a Denny's, but I decided to be adventurous. It wasn't disappointing! I walked away with a delicious meal in my stomach and $8 gone from my wallet. Not a bad deal.
The only down side to this restaurant is its aesthetic appeal. It definitely looks questionable from the outside, but at least it's very homey inside.
All in all, a pretty good experience, despite being locked in after 8pm. I'd definitely go back! -

I think telling by the name, you shouldn't be surprised by the place. It's dated but not super worn. You seat yourself. You can sit in a booth or at the counter. Wi-Fi was not advertised but, I did pick up on a good connection while I was sitting in my booth. Maybe it was Wi-Fi from the motel next door.
Eggs Benedict ($7.99) came with hash browns or country potatoes. I chose hash. The eggs benedict, I'd pass on. The hash browns were cooked great with the crispy top but you'd have to season it yourself.. It was plain.
Overall, I liked the place. The staff was nice. You can have breakfast any time of the day. And, if you didn't get a check at your table, you could just walk up to the register at the counter and you're set. -

only place I know of where you can get Indian and American food.
a good breakfast. I tend to get the chicken fried steak and eggs, with hash browns, and english muffin. thus far I haven't been disappointed. -

This a place I have frequented for over 40 years. It was, originally, a Denny's. Then something else, and the story goes on and on.....
It has been Rosie's for quite sometime. The food is good, the prices are excellent and the service is superb. The chili omlette is one of my favorites. The waffles are awesome. But most of all....many customers call it their favorite place to have breakfast. It's clean, despite the motel next door, which by the way was a Motel 6 in the beginning. Many of you will think I am off my rocker with a "4 Star" rating. Maybe I am, but it's still Rosie's and I have to drive across town to eat there, which I will gladly do every chance I get. There is also Indian food on the menu as well, and I have tried some of it. It wasn't bad at all. The hash browns, as one reviewer stated, are so-so, but I have the home fried potatoes everytime. They are so much better and I don't really care for hashbrowns when home-fried potatoes are available. Give it a try...you'll like it. -

I love these old school breakfast diners. Fake plants, gawdy carpet, Christmas lights. It's tacky and boring decor but you can always count on a good meal and good service. I had "Rosie's waffle combo" for $5.99. Cheap! It comes with 3 eggs, the signature belgian waffle, and 4 pieces of bacon or sausage links. I also got a side of hashbrowns ($1.79), which was the only thing I didn't care for. It was like the very top layer of the hashbrowns. I don't know what happenned to the rest of it! Everything else was just down home good. Steak and eggs were great! Juicy, tender, and flavorful meat. The French toast combo was given 4 stars by its consumer. Good, strong coffee, but the OJ tasted like it came from a gallon-sized plastic container from the grocery store.
They had a lot of attentive staff to handle the filled restaurant. I'd come back for the waffles and maybe try the biscuits and gravy with a side of the country potatoes (maybe I'll get some potatoes this time!)
Addendum: Went back for another breakfast last weekend. Had the biscuits and gravy w/ country potatoes. Potatoes were well cooked and flavorful. My biscuits and gravy tasted like army rations. I'll pass on that next time. The waffle was just as delicious as the first time. -

Rosie's...the epitome of a greasy spoon. Not in a bad way..the service is top notch. Wait staff is attentive, friendly and quick, without being pushy. Our drink orders were taken then served promptly. Our food order was speedy, without loss of quality or accuracy. Food quality and presentation, excellent. One cool thing too is that they serve Indian food. Will have to try it for lunch one of these days. Highly recommend if you want a home cooked meal, at reasonable prices and awesome service.

Friendly staff, very dated interior with original carpet and upholstry showing the expected wear and tear. Tasty dishes, but nothing ground breaking that you couldn't find at any other diner. Eggs slightly over cooked, dishes in general had a slight dryness to them.

Rosie's loves it's regulars! Every time my girlfriend and I visit, we are greeted warmly and served promptly. The food is cheap, filling, and delicious. Serving sizes are beyond what I would expect from an establishment such as this. I mean, when you order a plate of scrambled eggs here, you get a FULL plate. The only thing I dislike about Rosie's are the homeless meth-addicts that feel the need to hang out in the parking lot next to the abandoned motel. But, even so, Rosie's is still a favourite of mine.

I used to get take out with co-workers once a week in the mornings from Rosie. The place is a total local Denny's type place and they have some excellent specials. The breakfast specials will run you less than 6 bucks and are big portions. My gut is happy I no longer go here and sure I reduced the risk of cardiac arrest but I do miss this place.

Rancho Cordova, CA
Ok.. first off, yes it is ugly. I do not think it has been redecorated since.. geez.. ok in the early 80's when it was a Denny's it looked outdated. But, I could care less! YUM! The food is delicious, the staff is sweet and there seems to be little turnover so I will guess the owners treat them well. The prices are so cheap that I can not bring myself to use the coupon out of the Pennysaver! Another cool part about Rosies is that when I go in there, I run into so many people that I have known through out my life in Rancho. People I went to school with, old friends parents.. I really think that is awesome. Gives this town a sweet "small town" feeling. I do not think they should remodel it. I would rather them keep their big servings of country potatoes and other yummies! Everything that I have tried there has been delicious and cheers to the staff for putting up with my daddy who loves to eat there for these past few years! Hi Dad!

Sacramento, CA
I must've been feeling extremely adventurous and hungry to dine at this place...from the outside, this place looks like crap. It's situated next to some motel and God only knows what else. Inside, the place is decorated by random paintings of animals, native americans, and plants. When you walk in, you're supposed to seat yourself, then someone comes by and drops off a menu. Having said that, the food is actually pretty good here; I especially like their breakfast (try the belgium waffles or french toast) which is CHEAP...something like $4-$5 for 3 eggs, bacon or sausage, and (french) toast. They also have a variety of entrees, ranging from your typical American diner foods (sandwiches/burgers, roasts, etc.) to Indian food. There's usually only one server here, but she's friendly. I'm tempted to give them 4 stars for the food, great prices, and service, but the atmosphere and tacky decor knocks them down to 3.
