This is hands down, the most if not the only, romantic place in Highland Park, IL.
A secret "park your car" and neck for hours place for high schoolers who are "in the know", it's usually always empty. This is incredible in every season. Winter especially, the lake is frozen and you can walk out onto it. (Be Careful!)
This is a photo opportunity waiting to happen. A place to read a book and experience what Highland Park was like before it was built up in the real estate boom.
