Our stay at The Ark was amazing!! We went to Pt. Reys Station and Inverness, climbed the hill, and instantly felt at home. The house was cozy and small, but functional and relaxing.
We ate on the pateo for dinner one night, and what an amazing experience.
Didn't take the breakfast, but it was easy to cook in the kitchen.
Specialties
Our cottages are individual units with kitchens and can be rented all year. We are a green establishment and have been since our first day of business in 1986! We specialize in romantic seclusion ,privacy and hospitality. Our property , surrounded by parkland and beautifully landscaped gives our guests the pleasure of spaciousness. We are 10-20 minutes from bay and ocean beaches, close to hiking trails.
If desired, we provide a full, all-organic breakfast.

The Rosemary Cottage was designed and built in 1986 by hand by the owner and her husband.

Rosemary Cottage was built by the owners in 1985-86. I wish that I kept a record of those first few visitors so I could invite them back for a free stay! I had helped a friend open their little cabin as a B&B and was managing it for them so that was my only experience, apart from a having booth at the Renaisance Faire. Learned a lot along the way and met some wonderful people (and their dogs). Now, the house we built and lived in (at that time) has also become a B&B or vacation rental, Fir Tree Cottage...here are some of the comments we get in the guest books: what a grand and idyllic retreat; the gardens are beautiful and the hot tub is cozy.
