With the exception of Jolo's Vegan restaurant down in Yonkers- which is good by the way, there aren't any meatless-only restaurants around here. In other words, Westchester (let's be specific- Southern Westchester) isn't as Vegan or Vegetarian-friendly as most people think. But Rosemary & Vine's Vegan and Vegetarian-Only Mediterranean menu- fits like a glove in swanky Rye.
Wanted something other than my usual go-to spots in Greenwich a while ago- plus the 10 minute drive to Rye, worked just fine during one of my 1-hour lunches. Go in and all you see is cute on the eyes. Really like the mix of Wood textures, the warm glow, rustic bits and the soft look of their floor tiles.
As I remember, service was very pleasant during my short stay. Even early afternoon, Vine attracts a nice crowd. Started with a Hibiscus Iced Tea- with my own tea bag if I wanted to re-dip and thought it was a lush touch. My Roasted Babaganoush W/Pomegranate Seeds was very tasty but I felt it was too dry (as also noticed by my friend Ahmad A.) Edible? I mean... the thing wasn't horrible...but I've had better.
Really digging Rosemary's Veggie-centric concept and I'm totally in to try their entire menu. Sounds like a bit much- but I don't have to worry about any meat cross-contamination- no chicken and cow this or pork that. Whether you're a hardcore Vegan, Vegetarian, just cutting down your meat intake (or none), you'll be fine here. Not sure about it being affordable, but options are very nice.Helpful 19Thanks 0Love this 15Oh no 0 - Oct 21, 2018
We came here while in the area for Rye Fall Festival.
We had the Avocado Crostini for an appetizer, which was tasty, but a bit small. I ORDERED the Tomato Basil Soup for my daughter, who's only a year old. It had too much curry, but at least my daughter enjoyed it.
I wanted the five-cheese lasagna, but the waitress said it was no longer available (even though it was listed on the top the menu hanging outside). The Traditional Pizza was flavorful, and big enough to split. I definitely recommend adding caramelized onions. However, we all agreed that these "kalamata olives" clearly tasted canned.
The Chocolate Tahini cake was unbelievably small. The cake and "raspberry coulis" definitely don't seem like they're made in-house.
Our waitress was nice, service was a bit slow but it was a Saturday night. The food is alright, but a bit overpriced (probably due to the location).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Nina, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We always appreciate feedback from our guests as it helps us continue to improve as a business. I would also like to take this opportunity to address a couple of the statements made in your review:
1) The tomato basil soup does not have any curry in it at all. It does have the following flavoring ingredients: thyme, oregano, basil, cumin, garlic, celery and onions.
2) We did make minor modifications to the menu recently and I personally apologize for not updating it on the window. That is my fault!
3) I am sorry you did not like the Kalamata olives on the flatbread. Those olives are strictly used as an optional add on to the flatbread and yes, they are canned. The olives that we marinate in-house and offer as an appetizer are overpowering as an add-on to other dishes.
4) The Chocolate Tahini Cake and the raspberry coulis that comes with it are prepared in house from scratch, so are all of our other desserts. The chocolate is 70% dark Valrhona cocoa that we buy in bulk. The flour and sugar are both USDA certified organic.
5) The prices are reflective of the location to a limited extent, but mostly, they are reflective of the amount of labor involved in making everything in house from scratch using certified organic and local ingredients (i.e. ketchup, falafels, tomato sauce, hot sauces, flat breads, salad dressings, desserts, stews, etc..).
Thank you again for your review. We hope you visit us again and have a better experience next time. - Allison A.Wayne, NJ4987154Mar 6, 2019
Random find as we were driving home from Connecticut today. We are both began so super happy to find such a great place on a whim.
There is a small wine bar next to the kitchen bar then small tables along with bench seating.
This place is so adorable and couldn't have been more perfect! Both of us are vegan so we opted for the Tasting plate to start. Hummus, baba ganoush, olives, chef's hummus and pita. For lunch, my daughter had one of the flatbreads with caramelized onions and vegan cheese and I had the kale and quinoa salad. Both were excellent.
We shared the biscotti for dessert. We were so full and took home a leftovers.
Parking is on the street or side streets.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 1, 2018
I came here with my coworkers for dinner. This is a vegetarian restaurant and has plenty of vegan options. We all really enjoyed our food. The food is mostly Mediterranean style but they are some Italian options. We had a reservation when coming here. The night we came was jazz night and there were several people playing and it was very relaxing.

Came here for a weekday dinner while in the area and was pleasantly surprised. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but found all the food incredibly delicious. Great service. Great wine options, plates for sharing, makes for a really nice night out. If you or your date are vegan or vegetarian- this should be your #1 date spot, hands down.

The flat bread is amazing! Bright and clean restaurant in a small and busy town. Only came here for the lunch thougn. They have a 2-course lunch menu which is quite convinient for first timers. Great taste even for meat lovers.

I finally was able to stop in this delightful cafe after following them on social media for months. The food is impeccable! The $5 petites are a must. I had a mushroom crostini and their soup of the day and both were delicious and filling. I also had this amazing black peach tea and even went back for a second.
I had to drop one star because of an incident that I observed. The person who took my order was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. There was another person dressed differently than the rest of the staff, I assume the manager, who was extremely rude to the staff. As I was waiting for my food, I watched her follow employees around and point out in a demeaning tone what they were doing wrong. HUGE turn off.
Other than that, the food here is impeccable, prices are unbeatable and the decor is adorable.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joseph F.New York, NY147299482Dec 31, 2017
