The Delano Rose bar remains a great spot on the beach to go for some drinks people watching and retain your voice. The adjacent pool table is usually in use, but a great addition, as are the groups of tables and chairs around this lofty feeling space. Even though the hotel is getting old, the design remains impressive. I will always recommend this spot to have a drink when hitting the beach or before leaving back to the mainland.
You should also check out the pool and its bar for any special events that may be going on. The shallow end pool usually has a chair and tables in it, making for a great eye catcher.
I had so much fun at Rose Bar my first night in Miami. I barely realized I was basically in a hotel lobby of some sort, it felt like a really fun bar separate from anything else.
Fun crowd, super nice DJ playing great songs (and all of our requests!), a good amount of space to make our own dance floor and seating all around as well. There were quite a few people there the Thursday we came and a really nice, social crowd too. Everyone was super friendly and just there to have a good time.
Cool space. Bad drinks. Pretty people. Good Music. Billowing draperies. Tropical vibe. Dancing encouraged. Great decor. A-OK.
Rose bar was on our list of places to go to while in Miami. It was one of the places we stopped by on our very first night there. We had a blast! We didn't realized that we were basically in a hotel lobby of sorts. The DJ booth was set up there and there was a large pool table and big fluffy lounge chairs (see pics) and a little bar nestled in a large grove in the wall.
The music was killer! We were dancing all over that lobby and the drinks we good. Crowd was mixed but fun. The DJ's were great. We even took them to eat with us after they closed shop! Ha ha!
Sort of reminded me of the Rosewood Bar in SF, just not as swanky, but still swanky.
someone said bad drinks? they must have ordered tap water, or expecting a sweet and sticky frozen margarita. the drinks that Nick (the bartender the night i was there) was making were divine. i didn't have anything crazy, just two summer basics ... a mojito and a caipirinha and both were perfect. i would say the mojito was by far the best one i had in miami, the best one i have had. it had the right amount of mint and lime in it, some lime pulp, and was not too sweet ... and you could still taste the rum -- perfect.
I was there on a Sunday evening, and it was fairly quiet. the music was good, the place looked gorgeous (like miami) but the star were the drinks ... as they should be in a great bar.
