Wow! This is the second time we ordered delivery from Rosa's and from last time to this time it was an entirely different experience for the better (last time we ordered during a really bad rain storm). I know all about their mission but let's talk about the food and their customer service, 'kay?
This time we ordered through Yelp not Eat24. We ordered a plain cheese pizza and a large garden salad. I'd to call part of the order in b/c I couldn't find where the dressings were listed on GrubHub. Anyway the man who answered was patient, professional and customer service oriented: 6/5
The plain cheese with tomato sauce (regular) pizza arrived hot and the cheese was still melty. This is not a gourmet pizza, but it's an excellent regular pizza with a slightly sweet sauce, a nice, crunchy, deliciously flavored crust that doesn't flop and just the right amount of cheese: 5/5
The garden salad was gorgeous! It was gourmet quality and beautiful! Please see the photo. We ordered no green peppers substitute with cucumbers which they did! It was incredibly fresh and still nice and cool upon arrival: 6/5
The young man who delivered our food was polite, sweet and personable 6/5
What more could you want?
Oh. Wait almost forgot- after the order arrived, the same man from earlier made a follow-up call to check in on our order! Beautiful follow up customer quality care!
This was textbook quality customer service, the kind people study in marketing school but rarely seen in the real world until today! 6/5 stars!Helpful 27Thanks 0Love this 18Oh no 0 - Sep 29, 2016
I first ordered from Rosa's using Caviar after receiving a coupon in my email. I can't believe I had never heard of this place until recently, and I'm so happy I finally discovered it.
Not only is the pizza delicious and affordable, but I love that my purchase goes towards helping someone in need. Many of my clients are homeless and cannot always afford food, so it's great to see a business motivated to help others.
Let's face it, everyone deserves a good slice of pizza or two now and then, and Rosa's makes that a possibility.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 28, 2018
They get 4 stars for pizza quality. Seriously. It's not bad at all.
The ingredients are basic. It's not gourmet. But they all come together pretty nicely in a decent slice for the price.
They get the fifth star because of the good they are doing in this world.
Sometimes it's about more than the food.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Mike P.Philadelphia, PA6335115Sep 20, 2018

Stumbled upon this little gem... the pizza may not be the best in the city (but not bad!) but the message is. Buy a slice and donate a slice. It's a simple concept with a deep meaning. Everyone has a story and more places should follow suit of paying it forward.
Kudos to you, Rosas, for being good people and making good pizza.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Crystal E.Philadelphia, PA479155642Jun 30, 2016
Fresh pizza. Done Simple. No Fuss.
Mason, the owner & creator of Rosa's, is an AWESOMMMMMEEEEEE dude who had an ingenious idea, and watched it grow!
The atmosphere is always warm & welcoming. The customer service is top notch! After a day in Center City, Rosa's is the perfect 'slice' of the day!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Aanchal V.Hamilton Township, NJ444157290Jul 7, 2018
Came here and tried a plain slice of pizza on this hot rainy but humid summer day! Was pretty disappointed overall! The slice tasted almost like the Ellios pizza you buy at shoprite. I love Ellios but just saying.. the taste is similar. Lost my appetite but will come here again to tru something different. Loss of appetite might be mYbe due go excess heat!

Definitely good enough pizza considering the price. Haven't been in a while;they now have toppings & a salad! Plain slice wasn't as good as I remember it being. The crust was still very good, but the sauce & cheese was just ok.
Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 12, 2014Previous reviewExcellent pizza at a way affordable price.Nice chewy & crisp dough; great sauce & cheese! Quality ingredients. One of the best slices I've had in Philly. Got 2 for $2. One slice was about 50% larger than the other. At these prices who can complain? My new go to pizza stop. Easy to miss, not clearly marked, but there was a small placard outside on the side walk. A few stools. Nice atmosphere;vintage reggae playing, natty dread pon' de register. Became an instant devotee. Can't wait to get back!

Loved it!
The pizza was delicious! There was a very faint underline sweetness to both the sauce and the crust that I thoroughly enjoyed!
Cons: the choice of toppings, however, is very limited. I got a pepperoni slice, a cheese slice, and a beef sausage and onion slice. All were fantastically delicious! But I would loved to have seen Italian sausage and roasted red peppers as potential toppings.
The Pay It Forward / buy a slice for a homeless person or someone in need for a dollar concept / is fantastic! I would love to see more restaurants pick up on this and incorporate it into their business model as well!
The service at the restaurant was excellent! Very prompt and courteous and likeable!
We will definitely be back!
Highly recommended!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Victoria J.Philadelphia, PA34614655Feb 18, 2018
This is not about the pizza. The pizza isn't the best Philly has to offer (shoot not even the best on this block) but it's about the mission.
For every paying customer, one customer who is homeless or can't afford food is able to get a slice for free. While you're there, you can contribute the sea of post-its dawning inspiring quotes or encouraging sayings.
Stop in here, write a post-it, donate some money or buy a slice for any one of the number of people on the Philadelphia streets who are hungry.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
