Neighborhood: Pacific HeightsI used to work with Rob Abta and I can say he is a great person and awesome Realtor! He's educated, but down to earth! Focused, but approachable. Knowledgeable and sucessful! I knew he would take off as a top agent and he has!! I miss working with him, but I'm happy he is doing very well!! I am also not shocked at all his 5 star reviews because I wouldn't expect anything less!
I would like to add another well-deserved 5 star rating for Ron Abta, realtor. He works quickly, calmly and smoothly. He can write the book on customer service. I was one of his original customers and plan to use him again.
Ron sold my condo in the Marina and got me more than what I was asking! He also sold my brother's condo and represented one of my employees on her condo purchase. He did an incredible job marketing the unit, and was tremendous help during negotiations. I have recommended to multiple people that they use Ron as their agent, and I will continue to do so.

Ron helped us buy our first house, a very intimidating, stressful, fast paced (although sometimes slow paced!) process in SF. He was so patient with us and willing to work around our busy schedules. Once we found THE house, he continued to work diligently, driving to our place with documents to sign, doing the inspection with us and explaining the insurance options and loan decisions that we had to make.
His advice on how much to offer, what to write in a personal letter to the home owners and how to get a loan was invaluable and undoubtably led to our getting the house. Even after the deal was done, he helped us find painters and contractors to help us make the little changes we wanted to our new house.
We could not have gone through the process so easily without Ron's help, knowledge and support. I HIGHLY recommend Ron Abta to help with your real estate needs.

Ron Abta is an excellent realtor and an excellent person. I should know, I am his wife! Over the years, I have listened in on many of his real estate transactions. I have to say, he is a master negotiator with infinite patience. No, he did not ask me to write this. I am so glad to be so closely related to him because he got us an adorable house in the city. He also negotiated a credit for us so we could fix the very old roof! Ron is so friendly, warm, and intelligent. I definitely recommend him for any real estate needs.

I highly recommend Ron as a real estate agent. If you work with Ron, you will get first-class customer service, the utmost integrity and savvy business advice.
I met Ron socially through some SF friends a few years ago, and when it came time to link up with a real estate agent, he was the first person I thought of. I knew Ron to be a good guy: friendly, optimistic and thoughtful. What I didn't know was how serious he was about being a first class real estate agent. He impressed on me from the beginning that he would be diligent, patient and above all conscientious. I never had to worry about whose side Ron was on in my dealings. I always knew he was on mine.
That was 2.5 years ago. This past May I closed on my first place, and I have to say I had a great experience. Not only did Ron make the process extremely easy for me as a first-time homebuyer, he also had the experience and business savvy to make sure I got a great deal. Ron's sharp, and he gave me great advice that probably saved me somewhere between $30k - $60k on my home purchase. Further, Ron leaves nothing up to chance. He was buttoned up the whole way.
I would also mention that I never felt pressure from Ron in our dealings. If anything, he was more cautious than I was in the process because his biggest concern was always making sure I got the right place. Ron is in this business for the long haul.
If you're looking for an agent who has integrity in spades, has the patience of Solomon (did I mention 2.5 years?), is an all-around nice guy, and has the experience to find the right place for you, I can't imagine a better buyer's agent than Ron Abta.

We recently used Ron to sell our house in SF. We'd known Ron for many years as a personal friend (classmates at business school) but this was our first professional interaction.
He did an exceptional job. As you might guess from his Stanford MBA, Ron has an inherent advantage in that he is a very smart guy. We particularly liked how Ron took a very analytical approach to the entire process, presenting us with a clear marketing plan/strategy and then executing against that. Ron is very customer centric and would happily meet us late nights and weekends. When we had a problem with the stager, who picked some truly awful pieces, Ron helped us get it resolved quickly.
We were very happy with the outcome (sold quickly and over asking price) and would certainly use him again or recommend him to other sellers.

The San Francisco real estate market is a scary place! Thanks to Ron Abta, our deal closed without a hitch. Ron held our hand through the entire home-purchasing process. All of our questions were answered thoroughly, honestly, and patiently. We still get emails and newsletters from him, evidence that he clearly wants to maintain a relationship over the long haul. You can't go wrong!

When you hire a Real Estate agent, your number one concern should be that he is an "Agent" (so not necessarily completely aligned with YOU). In my experience with Ron, he is VERY honest, VERY reliable, VERY dedicated, and most importantly he is truly looking out for you. When you have that much money on the line (buying OR selling), this is the single most important thing. Once you meet Ron, you will immediately know what I mean. He is the best!

I found Ron through his great reviews on yelp. And he was better than we expected. Ron helped us find our first condo. He listened to what we needed, what our budget was, and helped us find the best investment. Ron doesn't feed you any bullshit lines, he is straightforward and honest. We appreciated that he was always on the ball by answering emails and phone calls promptly. In addition to his wonderful personality, Ron is fantastic at his job. The seller accepted our first offer (despite having many offers) and he even negotiated a credit! He knew what to look for in a property. We also used the tag team efforts of his father by hiring him as our loan officer. We were equally pleased with Daniel Abta as our loan officer. We can't say enough great things about Ron, and we will definitely recommend him to friends.

Ron was the only agent we met with who didn't either a) completely ignore our price range or b) comment that it was "an exciting challenge." Ron spent months (literally) patiently holding our hands and showing us boatloads of good inventory. He never once tried to push us into a place that wasn't right, and was completely open and honest about everything. Through Ron we've met our real estate agent and have also made a friend for life.
We moved in about a month ago and have never been happier. Thank you thank you thank you!

My wife and I were recommended to Ron by other people who have worked with him in the past. Five-star rating, slam dunk!
He is probably the smartest RE agent you could find in the Bay Area (MBA from Stanford!) which pays off big-time.
Here's a quick example: he took the time to join the walk-through inspection. As we learned about a small issue with the foundation, Ron advised us on the negotiation and knocked off $5,000 from the closing costs. It was the right thing to do, but none of the other RE agents involved in this (rather complex) TIC transaction had the insight or intellect to do so.
Ron is also incredible familiar with the city (hidden gems, upcoming areas etc). Last but not least, his dad is a well-respected mortgage broker (30+ years experience). When the 2 team up, you're set up for success (e.g. he would write custom pre-approval letters to signal your negotiation room in the bid :-)

Ron Abta is hands down the best RE agent in SF, maybe the world. I have worked with other agents but what sets Ron apart is that he is smart, thoughtful, well connected and, well, downright smart. He showed me an ugly duckling of a house in a neighborhood that I had not even considered. Needless to say I was NOT interested. He showed me the underlying value and how easily it could be uncovered. Ron helped me buy it for less than the asking price and since buying it, less than a year ago, it has appreciated far more than expected. I am in the San Francisco real estate game because of Ron Abta. If you are looking for someone to get you in, Ron is your man.

OK, so what other real estate agent is going to take your wedding invitations to the post office just to help out when you're busy but Ron Abta? Ron is all about service. My husband and I worked with Ron to buy our home nearly two years ago and it was a great experience. We received a lot of education from him and lots of hands on advice about the particulars of real estate negotiations. He really coached us through the bidding and counter offer process and we did remarkably well on our house despite the "sellers market" environment at the time. I'll never forget meeting Ron at his office at 11PM to put in our bid - the only time that worked for us. Ron went through painstaking detail with us to put in the best possible bid the first time around and we ended up getting that house which is now our beloved home! Ron's extremely adept and professional, but most of all he's a really smart, really nice guy.
