So for the very inexpensive prices I'm giving this place 3 stars because it was good just not anything out of the ordinary (but what do you expect for the cheep prices) and the pizza wasn't anything to brag about, however there side salad was awesome!!! It had fresh crunchy lettuce, those small tomatoes, olives and a tone of  mozzarella cheese so ill order there again just to get that darn side salad! It was mouthwatering awesome and so fresh!

We also ordered cheese ravioli which was ordinary and a margarita pizza which I didn't like very much until i took some of the green stuff off (way too much green stuff whatever it is- i think spinach) My husband liked the meat Lasagna and the garlic bread was good and they deliver for no charge (just a good tip which I'm a believer in-its good karma) we will order there again as it only took them 20 min to deliver:)

Before I go into my "A-OK" review, I would be remiss if I failed to point out Romeo's better than A-OK Garden Salad. For $3.50, you get a filled-to-the-brim styrofoam container of fresh, crunchy lettuce, plump tomatoes, savory olives and oodles of shredded mozzarella cheese. Perhaps it's the excess amount of cheese they pile onto this that makes it so tasty, making it a pretty unhealthy salad, but trust me, your tastebuds will thank you. If I was reviewing on just the salad, it would get a higher rating, but unfortunately I've had the pizza, and it was pretty disappointing.

The cheese on the pizza lacks flavor and the bread tastes like cardboard. I believe they have a deal for a slice of pizza and a soda, but it's really not worth it if you're putting pizza in your face that's not up to snuff.

I can't really comment on the rest of the menu, but I'm a pizza lover before I'm a salad lover, and if the salad is better than the pizza, it makes me believe the rest of the food is probably not going to knock my socks off. Plus, there is a certain expectation that when you put "pizza" in the name of your restaurant, it's gotta be pretty good.

Sorry, Romeo, you should have stuck to pining over Juliet.

Quaint little pizza place with hot sandwiches and pizza. My gf and I ordered a hot roast beef sandwich and a philly cheese steak. Both were pretty good but I think the roast beef was better. Each sandwich was appx $5.75.

I really wish I have more to say.

This review would have had a few more stars, had the two people I went with not felt sick after eating the pizza here. Granted, I didn't eat the pizza - just the lentil soup because it was really could out, and some onion rings. Both were pretty decent. The soup comes in a container I dare anybody to finish.

I was expecting it to be that corner pizza and sub place that's surprisingly delicious, and it seemed as such because both of my friends thought the pizzas were great, with a delicious crust. However, I figured I'd have to send out a warning because neither of them felt good afterward.

But if you're willing to take a chance on this place, the menus is pretty extensive, I didn't get sick from my soup! And the friendly service is an added bonus.

So I this place beats the record for worst pizza I've ever tasted!

My friend ordered the BBQ chicken pizza ,an XL, unfortunately.
The pizza was drowned in BBQ sauce and everything kept falling off of it as I was  trying to eat it.
The only thing that tasted good on the pizza was the crust, and thats because it didnt have any of that nasty sauce all over it!

    and the sides suck!
Their fries are rubbery, they tasted like they were microwaved from the freezer.

    screw this joint, go dominos.

I happened upon this place, and was feeling lucky I did.

My first experience was with a slice, which was OK...maybe 3 stars.

The second experience is why they get 5 stars from me, which was their large pie.  The crust was well made, not too thick, and chewy in a good way.  On this trip, the toppings were pepperoni, sausage, onions, fresh garlic and extra sauce.  It was cooked properly.  The only change I would make is a little less sugar in the sauce.  Since I normally douse my slices with copious amounts of red peppers, it all balanced out.

The service is great as well.  The guys that work there are friendly.

It's now almost 7am, and I'm counting down the hours until they open at 11.  Woke up craving their pie today.

Maybe the sweetness in their sauce is crack.

Romeo's is a small, friendly, family-run place on the corner of Colorado and San Gabriel.  Their main gig is pizza, obviously, and it's pretty good.  They offer a wider variety of toppings than usual, and even have a cheese-less "diet" pizza with sauce & veggies.  The crust is moist and doughy on the inside, but crispy (not greasy) on the outside - just the way I like it.  There's nothing worse than spongy pizza crust from one of the big chains, which is generally tasteless as well (unless you consider "grease" a flavor).  For this reason, I only order from mom & pop places.

They also have other stuff here - most notably pasta, sandwiches, salads, and various deep-fried goodies.  I tried a turkey sub, which was admittedly a bit shy on meat.  However, the bread (toasted french roll) was outstanding.  I would have eaten one of those rolls with nothing on it.  It was also very inexpensive - I believe $6.99 with chips and a fountain drink.

The service is fast and attentive.  I've seen the owner addressing many customers by name, asking about work, family, etc. - which I always take as a good sign.

The last time I was there, my only complaint was one of the customers.  This enormous guy was sitting at a table alone, napkin tucked into his shirt, covered with flop-sweat, and in a nearly catatonic state.  The empty large pizza pan in front of him provided a clue as to what happened, and I'm glad I didn't witness the carnage first hand.  However, his belches were enough to take my sandwich to go.  As disgusting as this was, It's actually a compliment to Romeo's.  The biggest people know the best places to stuff their pie-holes.  =)

I got the $1.99 slice of cheese and it was just OK.
Got the Greek Salad and it was really good!  I meant to just have a little and ate about 1/2 of it, which is a lot.  It could last me several sittings if my boyfriend hadn't eaten it when he got home.  =(
I grabbed a menu because they have a lot of interesting looking pizzas and I like smaller family owned places and I want to give it another shot when I have some people over.  I wouldn't judge them based on just a slice, so I'll update this once I order again.  Pastas sound good, may try them too.

I ordered them last week and got a half a pizza MEAT (for me- of course) and my wife got mushroom and eggplant. I liked my side of the pizza and was pleasantly surprised how good eggplant tastes on pizza! Oh and it was NOT mushy eggplant, it was fried and crispy! MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

So, I noted that there are some very nontraditional pizza toppings listed in their menu:

Mortatella, ground beef!, chorizo, shrimp. And for you people not down with meat- they have also broccoli, spinach, fresh garlic, green olives, sun dried tomato's, feta cheese, and one of my favorites, artichoke.

You see, I really do write for ALL you PEEPS!

I inquired about the Armenian salad. I suspected it might have something to do with a Shirazi Salad (Persian cucumber salad). Bingo. Well, its different because they have RED onions. Hmmm. Well that's OK because Shirazi is good and healthy to begin with.

I like this pizza because its not trying to be something else. Its not a wannabe deep dish Chicago or a thin New York pizza.  There are many imposters out there and they usually fall short.  These people do their own thing and that's OK if its good.  Romeo's Pizza is good and deserves a B+.

For the record, they took 45 minutes to deliver and that's OK with me! I guess they were really busy last time.

I was craving pizza again... seems like more of an addiction lately. You see, in New Jersey, any place with the name "Romeo's" or "Tony's" serves HUGE NY-style pizza slices. And where I'm from, there are almost as many Romeo's as there are Starbucks. So I immediately assumed this place might be another NY style pizzeria that I could exploit for tasty home-away-from-home pizza.

Sadly, I was mistaken. the pizza wasn't bad, I just don't think I can rate any cali-style pizza place higher than 3 since I've found Brownstone Pizzeria in Pasadena on Colorado.

The inside was pretty small and when I asked for garlic powder, the owner had to shake the shaker a few times to make sure I could pour the powder. Kinda sketchy, but not bad.
They do have pretty cheap prices though. They don't accept credit card for anything under 5$ I think.

o, romeo, romeo, wherefore art thou, romeo? lucky for me, just around the corner. (humor me for a moment. this will be brief.)

romeo's shrimp pizza rocks my mouth like handel. a single bite and i can hear the crescendo of the "hallelujah chorus" in stereo. (don't tell my therapist.)

after conducting an independent study last night--i brought it to a friend for dinner--100% of those surveyed had the same rapturous encounter with this pizza pie. i witnessed him melt into the first slice, the second slice, the third slice, the fourth slice...so i started guarding my plate.

shrimp, generous fresh garlic, pesto, sun-dried tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. the flavors are strong yet balanced, with a crust that reminds you why you didn't stop in at domino's or pizza hut or resort to digiorno from the deep freezer at the grocery store.

Sauce is too sweet.  Poor quality sausage and flavorless toppings.  Even the grated cheese was useless.  Kind of like a cheese from a movie set.  Only there for looks.  On a positive note:  delivery was quick and phone service was friendly.

Sauce is too sweet.  Blandular all around.

My search for good pizza in Pasadena proper (not So. Pas) continues.

The owner is always friendly and greets regulars by name.

The calabrese is excellent in XL, and I particularly recommend the greek salad as it's loaded with feta cheese and olives and the grilled mushrooms (baked mushrooms with some herbs and sprinkled cheese).

    Solid and dependable.

Just happened on this little hole in the wall pizza joint today and was more than pleasantly surprised.

Ordered a extra large #13 Calabrese, and was happy we did.

Nice thin crust, just the right amount of sauce, garlic tomato and artichoke.  Yum Yum.

Pretty good. I always recommend calling in your order. I stopped in as I drove by and got a sandwich and fried zuc. Took about 15 minutes. However the steak sandwich was good. I have also tried and liked their pizza.  Not really an eat in place, but I travel a lot and if I was staying at a hotel in the area i would definitely order from them.... perfect on the road - away from home- food...  or family pizza night.

I finally decided to try this place out and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Although the place had a dingy feel to it the food was actually pretty tasty I ended up getting a small mushroom pizza and the spinach lasagna. The first thing I have to say about the food is that they are larger than average portions, the mushroom pizza had a nice crust not too thick and not too thin and that fresh baked flavor. the lasagna also was pretty good with fresh spinach not that clumpy ricotta spinach mix. Overall it was delicious food.

Pizza was decent, nothing special. Would probably not go back anytime soon especially when there are much better places in Pasadena. The BBQ chicken had tons of red onions if you like that and the Margarita Pizza was super soggy. Brought home the leftovers and heated them in the oven and it was a lil' better. I also ordered the mozerella sticks and they were cold in the middle, so disappointing.  I did see other people eating sandwiches and enjoying them so that's something to consider.

This place is only about two blocks from where I work, so I thought it'd be a good idea to walk there. I was pleased with their prices and the service. The owner was very friendly and service was fairly quick. However, the pizza was a little greasy. I think I'm going to give the sandwiches a try next time.

Went here for a quick lunch the other day.  The staff working was nice enough but the pizza was so-so.  It took a while on account of them baking it which I'm totally fine with because fresh is good eats.  But the pizza was really greasy, I think the cheese is not 100% real.  Plus the cost was fine but not as cheap as I was hoping.  Granted it didn't break the bank but I feel the cost to pleasure ratio was not good.

So I grew up in a city swarming with independently owned pizza places, all with individually unique trademarks and flavors. So naturally, upon moving out to Pasadena I needed to find myself a good 'go-to' pizza place, mystery solved - Romeo's is it!!

Now granted, this place is a little small, so its not place to take the family for a night of loud laughs and passing the salad bowl around. However, when its take-out or delivery its Romeo's HANDS DOWN!

Perfectly portioned sauce & cheese on a perfect not-so-thin but not-to-thick crust is the only way to describe this pizza. It was delicious and I simply couldn't get enough after each bite I took.

    Romeo's I love you.

had this pizza for the first time today at an office meeting. Had a slice of the veggie, pepperoni and cheese. The veggie was loaded but it only had bell peppers (tons of it) olives and mushrooms. On the plus side the mushrooms were fresh and there was plenty of olives but I was wishing for less peppers and some onions and maybe tomatoes. The peperoni was very greasy, as was the cheese. I used my napkin to soak up some of the grease. The pizza was ok, not the best but not really bad. I would give them a second chance and try something else on the menu as a friend had the salad and said it was good. My quest for good lunch time pizza will continue although I really like Red Brick Pizza on Lake ave....
